Bluetooth settings

Hi
I have discovered this site just now as a was searching for information on how to updrade by qtek9100 for a2dp and use a bluetooth stereoheadset with it.
I found some leads but they all ended in my not being allowed to change the registry settings for
"local machine"\drivers\BuiltIn\"
I can not add BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd and therefore not conclude the setup.
Is there anyone who can give me some advice on how to go about this ?
I have updgraded to the latest official ROM for sweden.
Lars
Try the CAB file attached
You might have to unlock your phone before you try and change the registry settings.

The cause for the problem may be one of the following:
1, you used a desktop ActiveSync-based registry editor.
Don't use desktop tools to chage the Registry. As is pointed out in my Registry Editor Bible, it won't work. Use a PPC-only registry editor.
2, you didn't shut down the PPC entirely after this (or waited long enough for the changes to be written to the Flash ROM as is explained in many of my WM5 & registry & flash ROM-related articles); this is why the changes haven't been stored.
Note that this has NOTHING to do with your phone's being locked. You do NOT need to unlock your device.

Registry Unlock

What do I need to run on the Artemis to unlock the registry so I can make changes? It allows me to edit with PHM but after soft reset the values go back. Thanks
It is WM5 delay write on registry. Switch it on and off (optionally, wait 5 minutes) before softreseting. it should stick.
Thank hanmin. I learned something new today. It worked, much appreciated.

Registry Registration Settings? (Resco?)

For the longest time I've tried to get the information where Resco stores the registration codes in the Registry but never been able to find it. Contacted Resco and never received an answer.
In other words I've bought their product and have the code. But I dont want to enter it everytime I install a new Rom. I want to back up the registry setting without backing up the whole registry since ill be installing it over newer roms..
I've sucessfull found and backed up the keys for thumbcal and SPB Shell and TV. (just searched in the registry for my code and backed up those keys)
But Resco cant seem to work. Does anyone have any clue where those keys would be located under?
Thank you .

I'm not sure what Resco software you're using, however, for Resco Explorer the registration information is in the file \Windows\wmtrigger.dat. I can only guess that other Resco registration information may also be in that file. I restore that file after every flash and have never had to enter my registration information in Resco Explorer after doing so.
Settings for Resco Explorer and Registry Editor are stored in the registry in several keys all within the
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Resco] branch.
Hope that helps -
Thanks.
That did the trick

after you payment is successful, resco retailer will sent a email to you, it contains registry ID and password
remember, registry ID must matches to your phone ID
you can change phone ID by edit "my contact card" in contact list
i asked the same question a while ago at the resco forum and they developers said they can't release that info so they're apps aren't easily cracked/key'd/hacked etc... after searching like a mad man all over the registry, i couldn't find it so thanks adoute for pointing out \Windows\wmtrigger.dat!

wifi on in standby

Guys,
I'm new in this forum so I wish say hi to everybody...
Then, I have an HTC diamond 2 (original rom) I've searched for the topic in the forum and I found just a solution working in my phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=515808&page=3
I've downloaded the cab and everything is working fine, but, because on soft reset all the values return to the original one I'm forced to install the cab everytime, so it should be easier to create a button that is going to modify the following parameter in the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\TNETW12511\Parms]
"HTCKeepWifiOnWhenUnattended"=dword:00000001
Is it possible? There is someone helping me?
I have to keep on the wifi in order to use my voip...
Thanks in advance,
Markuz
You can export that registry key and just insttall the registry instead of the cab if the settings aren't sticking.

Search button & search provider

Hi guys...
I hate the search sensor button, on my Omnia 7...
I accidentaly pressing it all the time, I want to disable it, or even make it work differentely...
Is there any way, how to change its functionality?
And theres another thing... How can I change the default search provider via Registry on the DFT rom?
I found this tutorial, but cannot find that registry keys, shown here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...99&postcount=5
Thanks for the answers...
Nobody answers, but finally, I found the solution, how to change the search provider.
On mango, just add the registry key:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchProviders\Google]
and there a new value of:
"URL"="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=&q={searchTerms}"
Don't forget to set the Search provider in Settings - Applications - Internet Explorer...
And it's done
im on DFT rom but i can't do anything in registry. when i try to add new value registry editor is closing and phone going to home
@ Jonage - Thanks man, this works with me
@ eselcuker - please check that your phone didn't relocked after you first connected it to Zune after flashing DFT rom. For the Sammy Rainbow DFT ROM, you need to make changes on the registry by deleting the value on the PortalUrlint and PortalUrlProd both are under the DeviceReg before connecting device to Zune otherwise it will relocked. Please read the thread on the Sammy Rainbow DFT to find out more.
