Have you tried wallpaper wizardrii? I haven't on the nexus 10 but it used to work on my note 2. Sorry in advance if it doesn't work, but I guess it's worth a shot.

hi everyone!
Does anybody know an easy way to remove home screens?
I mostly use 2 screens... And would prefer not to have those 3 completly empty.
Anyway know how i can achive this?
I'm not certain, but I think you'd need to use an alternative launcher to be able to do that.
There are modded launcher2.apk with 3 screens. You cab install if your rooted.
I highly recommend ADW Launcher. I was hesitant to spend the $4+ but the speed-up of the home screens is simply amazing. You can delete or add screens as needed.
Another vote for ADWlauncher EX.
Is really great plus it has some nice animations.
Sorry, I ended up returning it to the store :x
But thanks for the help guys =)

I've heard some really great things about the adw launcher for the tab. I'm on the fence deciding if I should get it.

First- let me get this straight, you returned this awesome device because you couldn't have only two screens? WTF
Second- spend the 4$ for adw ex, completely worth a soda and candy bar. It changed my tab life!

Just installed ADW Launcher EX. I'm really enjoying it on my tab. I'm using the free version on my phone, and enjoy it.
Having it installed on my tab brings a brand new experience.

You can not complete such a task on stock. You MUST use a different launcher like Nova or Apex just as a couple of examples. Google doesn't allow you to modify grids in the settings. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear. Sorry.

I use Nova Launcher. It is based on the stock launcher & has that same look & feel. It gives you options like changing the number of rows & columns, hide apps from the drawer, and remove the persistent search bar.
I also use Nova. It's built from the stock launcher, plus it has LOTS of extra customization features. Seriously, just get it.
Honestly the only reason I was trying to avoid it was because I didn't feel like setting it up. But its done now and works well! Thanks

If it's not available without a new launcher, use Image 2 Wallpaper and make your custom wallpaper fit properly.
OMG I was shocked to see the Note 3, just like the Note 2, only has a 4x5 grid on the homescreen. What I don't understand is how Samsung can develop a device with a huge screen, and then totally forget that they can make use of the extra room to place more icons. Even the original Note had 5 columns in the home screen by default (I owned the original Note, the Note 2 and now the Note 3).
I wanted to fix this using something like Assassin tools just like I did when I got my Note 2 a few months ago. Then I read about the Knox warranty void 0x1 on the Note 3. I don't want to void my warranty, although I find it completely rediculous that a user can loose warranty cause he wants to install another (modified) operating system to his device. Suppose Microsoft forbid me to install Linux on my PC!
But okay, we have to deal with it and we probably can't fix this problem (making Samsung change it's strategy) easily. So now it's becoming a challange to solve the wish for a more customizable home screen. How can we do that without root? Yes you could use a custom launcher, but I really like the Touchwiz launcher and it's widgets. Does anybody have ideas how to create a customizable grid on the Touchwiz homescreen to place icons and widgets, without the need to get the phone rooted?
Also: why can't we set the dpi per app? Same goes here, we have such nice devices with big screens, I'd love to have control over the per app dpi in Touchwiz! Is that possible without root? Anybody have a solution for that?
Or do I have to issue a ticket to the Samsung development team and clearify my wishes? And if so, will they listen?
I don't understand how you could be shocked by it, You must of already known this before buying the phone? the Samsung launcher had always been the same just like the xperia launcher etc
As for customising it if you don't want to root your phone right now when it is possible, im afraid you will have to wait it out. Try some other launchers at the moment besides I'm pretty sure most of the widgets work on different launchers

Ok I was not shocked in that kind of way (I love the Note series enough to keep buying each increment), but I can imagine that I'm not the only user with such a big screen who wished there was more room to place icons and use apps optimized for big screens. So the shock is that apparentely I am the only one complaining about this, or Samsung doesn't listen....

Fair enough that's just the Samsung launcher though, it's not the "Note3 launcher" I suggest installing nova launcher or apex and replicating the touchwiz look with themes or icon packs for now, just be patient it was only released a few days a go ^^

Mate, you are new on this board. That´s ok - but for the future: Please double check if your concern hasn´t been discussed before (and believe me: in most cases it HAS been discussed).
My thread is just a few days old. -->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2457197

And yes, I'm a bad poster, I have a lot of knowledge from reading all threads and keep up with the development, but I'm always afraid to give an advise (we know there were brick risks, now KNOX..). Hehe, no problem at all!! To be honest: much more people should open up such a thread, making Samsung realize that it is necessary to work on this.
So: lets keep both (and more) threads (of this kind) up!

Samsung just says "if you want more options, install another launcher. We're not stopping you."
That's the point of Android. Don't like it, change it.
I got rid of the Stock launcher within the first 30 minutes of purchasing my first Android phone (S3.) Haven't left Apex Pro since.

Yeah it works but I can only make shortcuts to apps, not to (for example) browser bookmarks. Also missing the icon labels. But indeed it's a solution and I like the idea. I'll search for better widget and share when found. Thanx!

Just the nice look, feel and simplicity. Apex is the closest to that but it doesn't play nice the widgets I like.
Status update...I was able to make the change and recompile the apk but when I try replacing the file it just removes the launcher from my system and I can't use it. And when I try just installing the apk it fails. My guess is that it's some kind of signing issue but this is my first time trying to mod so I'm not sure.
Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Agreed. I do like that most of the widgets work with TW. Especially the stock weather widget. When I use Nova I don't get all the options with in.

Plus anyone looking for some decent guides, keep an eye on the Unified Development thread. I've already post around 8 or 9 of them there. Probably going to consolidate all of them into one to make it easier eventually.
