Hello and greetings from germany.
I know that there is already a thread with stock ROMs, but because I am not allowed writing into a develop thread I have to write here.
I am looking for a stock ROM (android flavor doesnt matter) for my TPT: 16GB, 3G (ericson card), EU only (bought in germany, i think I need a WE ROM).
Anybody help me?
AW: [Q] Looking for stock ROM Thinkpad Tablet
Sorry, I forgot to ask:
Is it possible to flash an UK version to a WE Tablet? Or will thisbrick my device?

I have tried several times, but have the same problem; stuck at logo screen. It happens even when I use my own nandroid back or the no_bloat nandroid backup.
Does anyone know a solution?
thanks

I haven't done this myself, but I know the standard fix when you restore a previously working nandroid and it doesn't boot is to wipe data, cache, dalvik, flash nandroid, fix permissions.
If that doesn't work then use the reformat data zip that koshu posted in the cm10 for tpt thread, but be sure to backup the nandroid from your tpt to your computer or an external sd first since it will format the internal sd card.
I went back to stock ICS from CM10 several times but had no issues at all.
I have a ROW 16 gb TPT.

Hey all, got a little problem here. I rooted my Iconia just fine but when I tried to install a custom ROM, the tablet got stuck at the "Acer" splash screen. Nothing I do helps, not factory resetting, not hardware resetting, nothing. With Volume Up + Power, I can get into Clockwork Recovery just fine but that's about it! Help me!
If you can get into clockwork, you should be able to restore the backup you made of your existing install.
You did make a backup, right?
If not, you should be able to find a full download of the stock rom in here somewhere and flash that.
good advice
As long as you can still get into cwm you should be fine.
Did you remember to clear cache/battery/davak before flashing? I personally do the clear before and after. Could always try reflashing the rom if you did not do this.
Failing that, restore your backup.

Regretfully, I was not able to restore my backup. Don't know what happened to it. Even if I do find a copy of the stock ROM, how can I download it to my tablet if I can't get past that screen?
EDIT: Never mind, I think I know what to do. I just need to get my hands on a card reader.

Everyone starts somewhere. Flashing a custom ROM was maybe a strange place to start, but at least they tried to make a backup first.
I see lots of others on here that don't even bother to do that.
Thanks everyone for their assistance. I was able to borrow my co-workers USB card reader and downloaded Virtuous Xoom onto my microSD. Flashed the ROM and now all is well.

I'm confused...how does your phone work without a rom on it. Or did you wipe everything then try to nandroid?
We're comin from a pure power source.
I forgot to put the new Rom on my phone I was going to flash but did not notice until I wiped everything with a wipe all type of zip and was ready to flash for some reason I could only get to recovery and had to restore with a nandroid back up I don't know why I couldnt just boot up and go back to the Rom I was running anyhow my point is thank god for nandroid back ups

Even if you wiped everything in your recovery, you would have mounted the sd card through recovery, loaded the rom on there, and then flashed it. No need to restore a backup. You do not have to have a rom on there to be able to access the sd card.

I assume you weren't near a computer, because you can still mount the SD card in Mass Storage mode in recovery, to copy over whatever you needed to flash . . .

You only have one ROM zip on your SD card at a time?! (I have the last ROM flashed and a stock ROM)
But I've done what you did and nandroid back ups are good.
Hi there,
I have the NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V3.1a_NAND_(Android-2.3.6) on my HTC HD2 and I downloaded the TyphooN_CM7_v3.6.8-MAGLDR ROM so I installed it following a video tutorial but there was a slight problem, everything went well up until the moment when the phone boot up which it stayed on the android figure for ever, i have waited maybe 20+ minutes for it to load/boot but there was nothing. I re-flash twice but still nothing was happening, it kept locking at the boot up android figure screen. Also took out the battery twice but still nothing, Do you have any ideas why or any other suggestions? Please if you could help that would be most appreciated.
By the way: this was a clean wipe/flash installation thru Clockworks mod
Thanks
Chris

HI everyone, I'm tired of slow response and want to go back to stock on y Nook HD Plus. The CWM backup is saying check sum mismatch so no go there (CWM has really become undependable in the last year). Is there a flashable rom I can use to get back to stock?
Or does anyone know of a very stable responsive rom.
Ex: I click an app and it takes about 8 seconds to open. When I search in play store keystrokes are slow as a turtle.
Any help greatly appreciated And link to such flashible zip would br great.
Thanks in advance.

Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and download the plain stock zip from item 6. You will need to use a CWM older than 6045. You can get one from that same thread. Use the CWM to do a factory reset following the flash of the ROM.
Your sluggishness is probably due to lag. Flashing the stock ROM will not fix that. Instead of just a factory reset, you might try going to mounts and storage in CWM and formatting 'data and datamedia' to try to clear the lag.

Hello,
Need some help with a Nandroid restore. When I did the backup everything went fine, and now when I am trying to restore it, when it gets to /data it is taking forever.
I am using philz touch CWM recovery. Samsung Galaxy S5.
I started it yesterday and it is still going, it says 800/5575 mb, so it has a lot more to go... is this normal? is it really going to take a week to do a restore?

Hi,
Since you're stuck now anyway, I'd restart the phone in recovery, wipe system, data and cache and try restoring again. But it may just be corrupt. If you have another nandroid, try to restore it.
Other options are use another device with a micro SD card and put a rom, and gapps if needed on it and install the rom on your device.
Last option is to Odin flash stock firmware again.
If you want other ideas or need further help, please ask in this dedicated help thread for your device,

Thanks for the help! Do you know if wiping the system will get rid of the clockworkmod folder? that is where the nandroid backup is saved...
I may just flash a new rom again, with titanium I should be able to recover everything.
Copying to the other thread too. Thanks!

Any ideas? should I stop it where it is at and flash a new rom? I wanted to after there was a stock 5.0 version out, but I could do it early.
I did take the backup and put in on my computer, and then put it on my phone again. Would that affect it? the SD card wont mount on my phone, so I only have the internal to work with.

Ok, so I decided to stop the restore and I am trying to now load a stock rom. I am running into a problem though, how do I transfer a file to my device? I have nothing to boot into, and the SD card does not work. Can I flash it with odin?
Solved?

I think I have "fixed" it. Finaly was able to sideload a rom. I am waiting for the stock rooted one to download still, but if it does and I can load in all my titanium backup stuff, all should be good. :fingers-crossed:
