a disassembled N7102 galaxy note 2 - Galaxy Note II General

Thought some might want to see this to compare if not already done fully dis assembled SGN II.
This phone was not damaged and re assembled just fine but only problem was it had a socket clip loose causing the loud speaker to cut in and out and sound effects of the phone and charging connection issue.

The speaker phone or the loudspeaker?
The ribbon cable connectors are maybe damaged.

The part of the board where the loudspeaker is connected or attached is probably damaged.

From my experience, speakers usually don't work when they are still wet. Let it dry out more and it should work.
I have already dried it but nothing happens =(

Maybe the Nexus 4 built in power supply (the one that allows charging) has a malfunction causing it to not work with certain components due to a power issue because of the water also causing the power supply to split the power to the most important hardware.
Can you check if NFC works in any way?

I am in the same boat. My Nexus 4, accidently dropped in the pool and was there for around 20 minutes. Opened it and cleaned the MOBO with alcohol. Was able to restore all the functionality except the loud speaker. I can hear songs using headphones, but not through the speaker. I hope through this thread, we can find solutions.
p.s. I checked the speaker of NEXUS 4 by connecting it to my computer and it is working just fine, so it seems that it is not getting any signals from the MOBO.
fell in the rub ... didn't even switch off ... seems to be working fine except for the phone speaker ... the speaker on the back sounds a bit funny but seems to work ... I have it in rice now hope it will work tomorrow

My problem is slightly different. Instead of dropping in the pool, it actually dropped on to a concrete floor. So, not sure if the speaker is damaged or something else. I took the phone apart, and cannot find any lose connection. Just wonder how do you connect your nexus 4 speaker to your computer? I would like to find out if my speaker is still working
Thanks,

Were you able to fix the loud speaker problem? I dropped my phone into the ocean water for 1 second. Everything works now except for the loud speaker. I've replace the loud speaker and also replaced the daugtherboard. Still loud speaker does not work.

So i droped my Note 2, and when i put the battery back in and started the phone the screen was not working but the phone worked. Will a new screen fix the problem?

May be that you are luckier than you think ...
If because of the impact came off the flat connector for LCD, then it's only necessary to simply reattach this one to get device back running again.
Happened to me once with a GT I9000.
OK

**FIX** Galaxy Note 8.0 "cracking, popping, snapping," etc. noise!!!

If your Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet (or possibly any tablet) makes noises (cracking, etc.) when you simple hold your tablet and move your hand to another spot..I HAVE A FIX!!!
Once I realized I had this problem with my note 8, I began to research the issue on several different forums. I quickly that i was not the only one with this problem. In fact, I was one of several people facing this issue. I constantly read, that many were returning their tablet(s), until they finally found one that did not make this constant, very annoying sound. As I was unable to return my tablet, (I bought mine off of Craigslist) I became bound and determined to solve this issue! What I discovered, is so simple, and so non - complex..I couldn't help but laugh.
I discovered, that just about every single screw behind the back cover of the tablet, was NOT COMPLETELY TIGHTENED!!! I have 2 friends with the same tablet, and the same problem...guess what? This fixed there noise maker too!!
So, if you Galaxy Note 8.0 (or other device) is making cracking, snapping, popping, or creaking noises..open that sucka up and tighten down those loose screws!! (motherboard screws, charging port screws, battery screws, etc.) Once they are nice and tight, have fun snapping the backing of your tablet, back onto the device
**WARNING** **WARNING** **WARNING**
*PLEASE USE -EXTREME!- CAUTION WHEN TIGHTENING SCREWS!! TOO MUCH CAN SEVERELY DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE!! USE COMMON SENSE! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE!
nice post

My camera on galaxy note 3 is dead

And it's my fault. I've been recording video of my traveling about six and a half hour. Interesting thing is that there was no warning of overheating. So the test is approximately 6 hour on charger and recording, and your Galaxy Note 3 wilk have malfunctioning of camera.... Fair enough... I managed to solve the problem by soldering again camera contact... I am posting this because I thought maybe it's a interesting information ....nothing else.... nothing to discuss

Kinda scary that it got hot enough to reflow -- I wonder if you had a defective solder connection?

So far so good ...but I had once again camera malfunction and I have to return it to service... It's soldering stuff or its a flat cable damage under the heat..... there is also one small chip that is glued on the surface... Maybe it's him... so still to come I think..

Edit: no use camera is dead again . so I went to service and we order a new camera

note 4 squeaking backcover

Hi community
I got my note 4 recently and it is an amazing phone but the last 2 days I noticed that the backcover of the phone makes a squeaking noise not the side with the battery but the one with the sim card in the middle side, if you press on it a little bit hard at first there was no sound like that at least I did not noticed something like that. Does anyone else have this kind of problem ?
Hi
I have the exact same issue but didn't resolve it. Maybe a new back ?
I now have the OEM Wireless Charging back so the problem is gone.
Si
I have the same problem :/ I noticed it after having the phone for about 2 weeks I now have a Spigen Neo Hybrid case so I don't notice it but I know its still there ;(
Do you guys think it can become a bigger problem in the future or will it not become worse ?
That back cover need a little massage just try it at 35-50 ºC ! It´s working ! :good:
Take it to your carrier/vendor, not normal, when you pay for a device, every monetary unit must be perfect, right? the same goes with what you are buying, especially with a 700+ dollar gadget
