Help My Phone is not Booting !

I was on Cyanogenmod 7, due to some bugs, i thought i should revert back to 2.2 froyo .
I downloaded the DDJP2 one package file and flashed it via odin!
Now only the Samsung logo is flashing and my phone is not booting !
HELP !

Reflash. Just follow instructions. Its a soft brick, don't worry.

its just a bootloop..
first flash eclair ddjg6 n then flash ddjp2
or u can just directly flash ddjp6 which is a newer build n also has swype working..

and one more thing....can you please give me the link for the .ops file for ddjg6!

ops file is the same for any rom... it depends on the phone model
ours is 531ops..for galaxy 3 u can search n get it with "flashing tools"... if u dont get it then i'll post here

the newest firmware is available in a thread in galaxy y general called "new firmware on sam mobile"
and just search to know how to deodex...

Looking at your signature says you are using SGY Duos so here is the link for the latest Stock ROM/Firmware for your device (In the first post)

Make a nandroid backup of the latest Firmware from your friend's device and Restore it.
If you get error than in advance restore restore everything except the 'boot' ie the first option in advance restore.
PS - The following steps are for CWM
For deodex just Google it.

Please use the search box before making threads

Ull get to the thread with stockroms of all regions....

all the firmwares are on the stock firmware thread at the top of the dev section - and I put ddmd1 on there yesterday

[Q] [Help] Cant use custom kernel in Galaxy y duos

Last january i search custom rom for galaxy y. I found xduosv2.0 v3 and i flash it. after i update rc2 with iduos kernel my touchscreen is not working. I found stock rom and stock kernel and i flash it . when it boots up the touchscreen is working. This the same when i update firmwate using odin the touchscreen is not working .
Any fix for this? I cant use custom kernel in my duos .

Really? I flashed XDV3 on my friends SGY Duos and everything was fine. (Except he was annoyed with Xduos Bootlogo).
Can you install any other kernel without this problem? Like Compact kernel?
Anyway try with different baseband.

Yes i try old version and latest version but the touchscreen is not working .

You can use Google Search for that.
I suggest you to check Sammobile Firmwares or XDA thread on your device forum. It will show latest firmware
OF YOUR COUNTRY/REGION.
I never owned SGY duos. I own SGY GT-S5360 and SGS+ GT-I9001. So unfortunately I cannot help you.

if you have unzipped the file downloaded from sammobile and placed the firmware file ending in .md5 in the pda section and it doesnt flash you may have to split the firmware first

Ok tnx . I will try :good:

I flash the latest firmware DMXD1 .
When its boot up .
The touchscreen is ok .
But when i flush the iduos kernel .
The touchscreen is not working . Changing baseband is not solution (((
I think the kernel is outdated .

hi. i am facing a similar problem with my sgyd gt6102... whenever i try to install a custom kernel , my screen freezes..but i can always reflash a firmware using odin n my screen begins to work again... i tried flashing different kernels such as iduos, compact, as well as the custom kernel included in the Jelly Bean custom ROM for my fone.... but they all gave the same result, screen freeze... i have even tried changing the baseband from S6102XXLL1 to the one included in the latest firmware ie S6102DDLG1...i can install a custom ROM ..n it works fine too, as long as i dont change the kernel from stock kernel to custom kernel...coz the moment i install any custom kernel it just freezes up my screen.... can someone help me please

actually latest firmware for duos is DDMF4 for india and XXMC1 for Europe at my last check (see my firmware thread links in signature)
Anyway if a number of people are reporting the kernel freezes the screen than its probably a kernel bug when used in firmware after a certain date
You will need to build a new kernel based on the latest ramdisk sources - unfortunatly thats not a job I have experience in

there is something wrong,ive tested both some time ago with same kernel and without issues,but on deodexed.

You should have to wipe dalvik cache and Battery stat via CWM before flashing Custom Rom.

I am back at 4.1.2 after trying different 4.3 roms and I have my old speed and battery use back again
The only thing I need is Bluetooth 4.0 LE but that is only available in 4.3
Is there any thing I can do to make my Polar H7 heart rate working again with Android 4.1.2 ??

How did you went back to 4.1.2 ?using odin flash stock rom or cwm custom rom?
If using odin do u need PIT file ?

Yes, there is no problem but it is an old version and not having the latest features.

Backup EFS V1 and V2 are already on my external sdcard just in case....
XXEMJ2 4.1.2 Neatrom full . zip
Flashed with CWM and XXEMG4 modem after Neatrom is installed (both without leaving CWM)
Reboot

I tried using odin exmf6 and end up no network .
Even i restore EFS using SA mgr didnt work thats why i ask .Guess i shouldnt use odin :crying:

If EXMF6 is a EFS modem v1 firmware you should have a V1 EFS backup to restore the V1 EFS and IMEI.
Check if your EFS backup that you made is the correct version for a 4.1.2 firmware
Maybe if it's rooted now you can flash XXMG4 modem (v2 modem) with CWM (and restore your EFS v2 backup with SA mgr if that does not work??
If that does not work maybe it is better to go back to 4.3 firmware?
Maybe you can search xda van for imei and efs problems and bring back your phone to life if the above does not work

Hey im considering going back to 4.1.2 too as i got my device with 4.3 preinstalled and got no idea how 4.1.2 is compared to 4.3
On the other hand many features wont be available anymore
like the lockscreen effects and stuff
IS it worth going back to 4.1.2 ? plus.. how is the battery life ? i mean do you get more screen on time compared to 4.3 ?

I have to test a few battery cycles if 4.1.2 is better for battery but I have a feeling it is going to be better because if I can remember 4.1.2 when I purchased the phone it was better and less lagging.
Maybe my battery has to be replaced for a new one.
Please do not "hijack" my topic with questions about going back to 4.1.2 because there are many topics and threads talking about this..Thank you

Maybe u should reconsider yr title which is bluetooth issue after downgrade to 4.12 from 4.3 instead of no problem back to 4.1.2 from 4.3 :laugh:

One of the reason to step back to 4.1.2
After replacing the battery all is good so that was not a software version problem.
I still need Smart Bluetooth 4.0 LE that only is available in android 4.3
Any developer here that can help me?

Using 4.3 stock (tryed all custom stock) but the real reason to go back to 4.1.2 is lag and screen redraws in 4.3 that appear after 1 or 2 days or less.
Screen flickering was a battery problem and had noting to do with 4.3

[Q] Lost IMEI and Baseband version

Hi Guys.
I was trying to install a custom rom .. in that process i lost my IMEI Number and Baseband Version.
I tried many things but not able to get my baseband and IMEI back..
Also Service Mode /Engineering mode is also not working for my Device.
i have efs backup through efsbackup app... not able to restore it
Please guide me how to get it fixed.
Model Number: Samsung Galaxy S4 (I9500)
Kitkat 4.4.2
Rooted
Please Help...

yes... i first installed a custom rom.. but it dint worked.. my phn was bricked.. then i downloaded the official kitkat version.. and now i m back to kitkat..
the best thing in kitkat is that i got my IR working .. which was not working in lolipop..
But the main problem is my imei number and baseband version.. its missing..
i have my backup of efs folder.. but dont know how to restore..
can u help??

Firstly , this thread doesn't belong here. Its in the wrong sub section of the forum.
Secondly, flash back a lollipop modem and you will get back your imei. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56103578&postcount=3
This issue has already been brought up a million times, so next time atleast spend some time researching and reading through the forum or at least use google. Thanks.

I think for starters , you should stick to kitkat. Now to get back your imei, flash this file via odin : https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs...odems And Bootloaders/I9500-XXUHOD4-MODEM.tar (since you're on stock, i assume you no longer have custom recovery)
Resolve this issue first.
