Bluetooth headset on the a500 - Acer Iconia A500

Has anyone successfully found a Bluetooth headset that works with Skype? Seems like only stereo headsets work for listening only... I found a wired headset that works for talking and listening.. but I think the microphone support for Bluetooth is broke.. doesn't work on my a100 either but wired does.... lame of Acer to put out tablets like that.. my galaxy s3 works great bluetoothing with skype..

Bluetooth with Skype?

Can anyone confirm making a skype call on the xoom with a bt headset? Skype doesn't officially support bluetooth, but I've been searching around and have seen people getting different results. There are some saying that it works fine with A2DP headsets, but I'm sure none of those were running Honeycomb. There are others saying A2DP headsets only give you the earpiece audio and the mic doesn't work. I would really appreciate some help with this so I don't have to buy and return 5 different headsets.

Bluetooth headset microphone on iconia

Acer says that only ad2p headsets are supported, does anyone knows if there is any hope of getting the microphone to work or is it a hardware problem? I have a phillips shb9001 headset that works great, sound and keys work fine, it pairs great, but it would be even better to get the microphone to work to use with gtalk...

Wireless headset with the nexus 7?

So I'm looking at 2 wireless headsets to use with my tablet. No clue if it's even possible, but that's why I'm asking you guys.
The first link is to the official ps3 wireless over the ear headset.

Second link is to the Sony 900mhz over the ear wireless headset.

Blue tooth isn't supported on either one. The Ps3 set has a mic and is strictly usb
The Sony set has no mic and uses a stereo jack.

The PS3 one would probably need specific drivers and the USB transmitter would need to be plugged into an OTG cable attached to the tablet. Specific drivers probably rule that one out. The Sony one that has a stereo plug would work if you used a Bluetooth Stereo adapter http://www.amazon.com/Jabra-CLIPPER-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B0040X33SE/ref=pd_cp_cps_1 Samsung, Sony, Motorola, etc make similar devices. You wear the bluetooth adapter and plug your headphones into the adapter. I use a Motorola Soundpilot and Bose headset they work quite well within the limitations of BT for music and games.
I got this last week. So far so good.

MK808B Bluetooth Sound Input Option?

Well I bought an MK808 last year and was pretty impressed with the little stick, so I decided to buy an MK808B this summer so I could use my BT headet/mic for Skype calls etc., as well as voice search functions...
I paired the headset and could hear audio from the MK808B but could not use the mic...
I'm somewhat frustrated that it doesn't appear to have an option to use BT as an input for sound - why this would be the case I have no idea as every other android device that I own with BT works perfectly,,,
Has anybody managed to get BT audio input working with an MK808B?

I'm using USB Skype phone.
You could also try some USB sound card with audio out and mic in.

I hear what you are saying but the reason I bought the MK808B was to use BT for sound, seems strange that it doesn't work for mic input, there must be something that makes it work?
I've got Skype running on my MK808 using mic sound input from a Microsoft USB webcam but as it's hooked up to a 50" TV the mic is pretty far away when sitting on the couch.
Bluetooth was really the best option when using PC stick device....
Did you ever find a way to get a BT mic to wrk with your 808B plus?
I can't either.
Im in contact with the manufacturer.

[Q] Do headsets work on Nexus 7?

Hello, I recently purchased Sennheiser CX 275s earphones for my Nexus 7, but I have found out that the mic and headset controls do not work. I have searched a lot on the internet as well on XDA forums about this issue, but I havent been able to find any concrete info saying that headsets do not work. Some speculated that it is a hardware issue, and that the jack does not support mic input. Please, can anybody confirm whether or not headsets work with the Nexus 7? And I apologize if this thread was unnecessary.
Thank you!
To me, a headset includes a mike. The nexus 7 manual mentions headsets but I believe the 2012 only supports headphones on the jack. A Bluetooth headset will work, and a Bluetooth converter will make your wired headset BT compatible. This one uses a built in mike instead of the one on the headset, there's probably one that will work.
