:crying:
My HTC touch p3452 drains battery too fast even when idle the battery drains from 65% to 60% in minutes and when using the device the battery drain goes even worst 50% to 35% while playing a singe song. The battery is original and brand new and I use Onyx micro 4.10 rom and HSPL 3.10
Please help me to solve my probem..

So, I got a new battery for my Wizard a month ago, as of just recently (or recently noticed) it dies in just a few hours, and it drains faster as it gets lower (noticed using HomeScreen ++, battery discharge rises from 136 mA, up to around 400+ mA).
So, is there any good reason why the battery is dying so fast?
Relatedly, what could cause it?
I'm running WM 6.5 build 21502.
ROM here.
---------
Fixed, had to discharge, freeze the battery, recharge, repeat. Still odd I had to run through it again even though it's a new battery...
hi,
i just flashed my elf to SX 6.0 WM 6.5.
i found out that the battery life in decreasing and i wonder is it due to the rom or is it the weakening of my battery.
previously i was using SX 1.1 WM 6.1
my battery now only last about a day standy
normal usage of a hour and sms daily the battery lasts less than a day.
can anyone help me figure this out?
im worried that i'll spend on a new battery and finding out later that it wasn't the battery's fault.

have u used a hard cid .when u updated ur rom
me 2 i have that probem after i flashed my phone
last update was ONYX 4.8
I tried SX 6.0 and had the same experience - it was on standby pretty much the entire time and had 100% charge. About 20hrs later of just being on standby (GSM on Edge network, no bluetooth/wifi enabled), it was down to 40% battery.
I also noticed, after trying a WM 6.1 ROM that it was much more responsive, though I don't know if all 6.5's are noticably sluggish compared to 6.1 (elfin).
I was thinking it may just be the ROM... that perhaps it had a bit "too much" or something. I was going to try SX 4.1 but the download links are dead now!
If anyone has a copy of SX 4.1, put up a link?
What SPL/IPL are you using now?
SLP 3.14 sucks the life out of my baterry so I switched to 3.10
battery now lasts about 1 1/2days standby and almost a day when using it heavily
I just got word that the battery life from SX 6.0 was due to it having M2D 2.0 on it which is apparently heavy on cpu and battery.
I had purposefully not upgraded to SPL/IPL 3.14 because of the reports of poor battery life with it - I too am using 3.10.
I would have thought though (this is my first touch - I'm coming from an old Motorola V635 which would last a week on one charge with my light usage) that the battery on one of these things would last more than just 1-2 days without a recharge. I'm trying to recondition my battery right now to see if it will give me a bit more life.
I agree that M2D 2.0 drains battery faster, that's why I replaced it with SPB Shell so it lasts longer...

try calibrating your battery

if it's still not enough then buy a new high capacity battery

battery drain pretty fast when using WIFI than using carrier's 3G network
Is it normal or something wrong?
currently using CM 6.0.0 DS
The battery draining quicker on Wifi is normal, but it can get excessive. Fully charge your phone with it on, turn off the phone and let it charge 8 hours, boot into recovery and wipe battery stats, use the phone as normal until it turns itself off (battery dies), charge 8 hours, and finally use it as normal. Should help extend your battery life.
ok. thanks for the idea.
I did do a full charge and let it used up until it cant reboot, and charge again when i got the new battery like 5 times. I think it would help also.
Before this, I thought cell's signal sending to the tower would use more power since it can send further.
Btw, is there a guide to see how to wide the battery stats? going to do search though.
I just check out some thread about battery stats.
My battery goes to around 2% at 3700, 100% around 4200.
What does a normal htc magic battery would show under a near perfect condition?
I saw some say 3000, or 3200 etc, so maybe my 3700 is too high at 2%?
What I recommended will extend your battery life. Not sure I'm following what your saying in the last post.

i have done those steps also some time ago... but battery really drains very fast on wifi... i think it must be something about the driver used... because HTC roms don't drain so fast in wifi
DonJuan692006,
Those number are the battery's internal energy level, in mv
4200 mv is usually normal maximum for LI battery at 100%
But i see some having alot of different value for 0% mv value, mine stays around 3700+ mv, so it seems somewhat higher than normal, maybe that's why i have less battery.
So trying to find out what is the normal 0% mv value for most good battery.
blizard80,
yes, i found out the CM rom drain alot faster than the stock htc magic rom when running wifi, so it is Normal to have wifi drain faster than cell's normal data draining but not so normal to drain this faster so significantly.
DonJuan692006:
After charging it for 8 hours when it is turned off, and boot into recovery and dis connect the power cable and turn it on and use it till it dies?
After the phone dies because of no battery, i charge it for 8 hours without turning it on or while it is on?
thanks.
After it dies I don't think it will really matter if its on or.not while charging, but I think the best result would be obtained from charging it fully while on and then turning it off and charging for 8 hours again.

I just got the X10 a few days ago and i'm loving it.
Apparently the problem is battery life.
Right now I have Dooms kernel with Wolfs ROM and is draining about 10% on very low use.
I have wiped battery stats and tried to calibrate the battery but no help.
Under battery usage I have display @ 54%, Cell standby @ 26%, phone idle 19%.
While being off charger for 30 minutes the screen has been on for 3 minutes and is on lowest brightness.
Could my battery be dying since I bought it used and the person before had it for about a year.
Should I use a different ROM?
Thanks for your help!
