Using that same logic you don't need voice or sms, or a sim or plan at all. Personally, I'd rather have it the other way around. Get a DATA ONLY plan for an iPad/hotspot, month to month, no contract, $30/3gb, and use Google Voice and GrooveIP for free voip calling. More features, and cheaper than whatever you pay now (guessing $45+maybe sms?). Or go tmo prepaid for 5gb/$30 if it's available in your area with 3g (edge blows). To each his own but it seems you've chosen the worst solution for the money.

[Q] US Robotics BT Keyboard

I have a $30 Walmart giftcard to use, and I saw this on their website. Was curious if anyone else has tried/used it yet?

Looks like a knock off from eBay. I'm surprised US Robotics is branding these things. You can go to eBay and search Mini Bluetooth Keyboard and find a ton of them for ~$8. I had one before and it was ok but don't get your hopes up. For $24+tax I would have been very unhappy. The keys are mushy and rubbery so you can't hammer away (type with speed) like I would have hoped.
I'd use the card on something else. :good:
Cool maybe I'll get a xbox 360 game or a few bottles of wine... Or put towards a ps3 controller to use with my tablet.

NET10 nexus 4 T-Mobile APN settings

I don't know but in Miami I think AT&T sucks everyone I know drops so many calls, bad call quality, and average data. AT&T sucked for me on net10 and now they have a data cap 1.5gb. Now T-Mobile is much better for calls but data is weird just doesn't work sometimes it just freezes and I have to turn mobile data off and on.
Now for the past month have not been able to send MMS on nexus 4 called many times waited hours on hold nothing but check online as my answer. Anyway had to mix and match settings from their own site.
The highlighted is what I entered in for everything to work, try it out if you have the T-Mobile sim you can just switch everyday if you want. Didn't try the unlocked sim maybe it can do both I don't know.

I just created the same thread lol. I already tried this, didn't work for me
One troubleshooting step I would take is removing the other APN setting, but you can't... well I can't I'm not sure if there is a mod available that can do it

[Q] New Internet Calling Feature on 4.4

Browsing through all the new kit kat goodies on my Nexus4 and i found the option for internet calling.
I'm assuming its similar to T-Mobile's wifi calling, so that bounty thread may go bye bye!
So I was wondering if anyone has used the Internet Calling "For all calls when data network is available" setting as a daily driver, and if so how has your experience been in terms of call quality and dropped calls?
Also found the google support thread that has basic directions: Here
TY! :good:
** oh and i did a search in a few forums before posting but only found tmo threads
Here's a screenshot

This was on 4.3 as well.
Interesting. Because of poor signal reception on my N5, I was considering using talkatone and GV. I'll try this. Never needed it on my N4--same service; same location.
Hmmm. Don't know if AT&T gophone offers internet calling.
EDIT: Talkatone doesn't seem to work with Hangouts.

Google no longer giving out voice numbers?

Hello all, I am currently deployed to south Korea and I brought my vzw note 3 with me. I have a prepaid 3g data plan here and I was trying to get VoIP up and running, I have been using talkatone but I would like to use the hangouts with dialer. But no matter where I go I cannot find a place to get a google voice number.
Did they stop giving these out? The website just throws me in circles over and over.
Any help would be appreciated!

Data Leakage on ERG2

Hi all,
I've been using my S7 Edge as my backup phone (for my overseas SIM) for about a year now. Ever since the G935FXXU2ERG2 update, I've noticed that even if I have data roaming and mobile data switched off, it's using trace amounts of data (at a huge cost). The mobile data usage screen shows 0.0 MB usage, but my carrier website shows about 14MB worth.
Is there any way to stop this, as its driving me insane and bankrupt! I leave my India SIM card on (with data switched off) to access my bank passwords, tax account etc which come in via text message (incoming text messages are free) . So far, it worked fine but last month, I had a shocker of a bill. The data usage is not high. Just trace amounts, but even trace amounts are super expensive on international roaming.
Any solution, apart from buying a new phone?

The itemised bill showed that the phone was pinging the servers

but my phone strangely doesn't fess up to any data use
