Francos is unstable for .35 I find, try DJNoXDs kernel, although its a modified Cyanogenmod Kernel, it has quite a lot of things changed now, and its preety good, its worth a try others, they are all in development section, and one if original, (THunder)

sorry bud, questions go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1909. To answer your question you go to settings> themes and all the themes you have downloaded for cm/aokp will be there then just hit apply theme and it should apply.
