WARNING:All your contacts, SMS and previously installed applications including their data will be lost when updating with the complete package! Your files such as photos and videos will remain untouched. Please make sure you backup before upgrading! If you prefer to keep your current settings, please install the OTA version!
Upgrading via System Recovery
1. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
2. Copy the firmware upgrade package into your phone.
3. Turn off the phone.
4. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons to enter recovery mode.
5. Select “apply update from sdcard”/"手动选择安装包" by navigating using the Volume buttons and and using the Power button to confirm.
6. Use the volume keys to navigate and the power key to select and confirm.
7. Select “reboot system now”/"立即重启系统" after the installation finished.
Upgrading with Offline Mode (Will wipe user data)
1. Connect the phone to your computer via USB.
2. Copy the firmware upgrade package into the root folder of your phone.
3. Open the System Update app found in the Tools folder (or go to Settings > General > About phone > System update).
4. Tap “Local upgrade” to select the upgrade package.
OTA (Over-the-Air) - Coming next Tuesday
You can still upgrade using the patch only version to keep your data intact if you don't want to wait.

This firmware have no weather widget? why?
It doesn't work reliably outside China, same as the GPS app.

I really don't now much about firmwares and how to create one, but I'm trying to learn how right now, I don't really know where to start without any help. So this is basically the same firmware we got now in out Oppo Find 5, the NEW Krait 300 Snapdragon CPU. So why cant we do like my Droid DNA and crank it up to 1.9GHZ and add all the other governors. I really want an overclocked kernel but is it really that big of a task to crate one I see them on almost every forum?

In usual Qualcomm fashion, we're missing good depth on exactly what these new revisions deliver. This is one area where Qualcomm really needs to emulate Intel: we know more about Haswell than we do about the original Krait.
That being said, here's what we do know. Krait 300 is still built on TSMC's 28nm LP process, just like the original Krait. The pipeline remains unchanged, but Qualcomm is able to squeeze out higher clocks out of the core. It's unclear whether we're simply talking about voltage scaling or a combination of that and improvements to timing, yields and layout. Whereas the current Krait core tops out at around 1.5GHz, Krait 300 will run at up to 1.9GHz.

I'm confused here. This is an original development from Oppo itself. "This is from OppoForums, just posting for people on XDA who are new to the Oppo Find 5." I'm currently a beta tester on OppoForums and I can handle support for it. Because all issues goes into a bug report.

You did not develop it - and it's not original. Manufacturer created ROMs do not qualify as Original Development. Issues can still be mentioned and discussed here - but the development sections are for actual user-developed works. Not posting someone else's stuff.

It does not install, as far as I can see, on an Oppo with TWRP.

This zip can be installed with TWRP, dont forget to first wipe any partition except /sdcard (where you should have the stock OPPO zip file)

3. Launch Google Play Store again
4. When asked, use existing account to create the google account.
5. Provide your existing google account information (email & password)
6. try again to download
Based on my experience, whenever I got the 921 error, cleaning cache and data for google play store app does not work.
Another work around is creating a second google account. But I believe many people do not want to maintain multiple account on one phone.

Verdict:Flash it!Has almost the same battery life as 4.1.1 roms which were the best in my experience.It's fast and better looking!

-Reboot in recovery.(Turn off device then hold vol down+pwr until u see the recovery menu)
-Do a factory reset and cache wipe.
-Install zip from sdcard.

Battery life is even better than cm10.1 but the software is not even ready for basic consumption. I mean, contacts don't even work. It's not even ready for public beta. Can the link be taken down please

I tried this and liked some of the features.
Being English speaking some of the app area did not translate fully but that's why it "Beta".
The GUI was nice and colorful.
After 30 minutes I had to go back to the simplicity of CM10 .
Kind of wish that phone manufactures would stick to making quality items like the Find5 and just adopt CM10 as the base operating system.
Glad I had the opportunity to try Firefly beta, It just felt like running a OS via a cartoon interface.

It is.. it just takes awhile to boot into recovery. And of coarse the final version will have it working much faster.

Especially with facebook messenger....i get no notifications for that APP even i lock it in memory.... i have to sync it manually to get my messages :/

Check if you have re-partitioned your phone if don't remember follow these steps:
1. Download the zip and put it on your sdcard (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1229768&d=1343593540)
2. Go into recovery and reboot recovery
3. Flash the zip
4. Reboot Recovery again
5. Flash the zip again
6. Reboot your phone

I just installed v9 last night, I can say everything works nicely (never used stock browser, always disabled it from the get go, so I don't know if it FC).
Can we install v10 over v9 or do I need to wipe? Because if I need to wipe, I'm not really interested.
Make nandroid backup and try. It should work since nothing is really major.

Rom version, Wipes, format used, Previous version, etc …. are relevant information, but aren’t you forgetting we all have different hardware inside?
We have different touch’s, cameras, memory… shouldn’t be this information taken into account to understand some behaviors?

How to check the camera type when i'm on Aurora v5 ?
Edit: I remember i've checked in B528 a few months ago, the camera type have "...sunny". Have 1 or more "sunny" camera type ?

As far as I know we have only one type of "sunny" camera.
You can check some users reporting their hardware on this topic.

You can do this, with a root explorer:
go to system/usr/keylayout/generic.kl in "key 217" change the value from POWER to SEARCH.
Key 217 is the search button.

Instructions for Installation
[May vary on firmware, i will be vague]
Make sure your handset is on 100% battery
PREREQUISITES:
-Root
-Custom Recovery [CWM/TWRP]
1. Download latest zip file and GAPPS from http://cyanfox-rom.com/downloads/
2. Place these two zip files in the SD of your handset [internal or external]
3. Backup all of your data using Titanium Backup, or any other backup software you might have, as the device will be wiped in the process.
4. Reboot to Recovery by pressing and holding Volume Up and Down while pressing the power button while the device is turned off
5. Perform a factory reset
TWRP
6a. Press Install and guide yourself to where you put your Cyanfox zip file
6b. Press add more zips and guide yourself to where you put the GAPPS zip file
6c. Press Install
CWM
6a. Use volume keys to "Install zip"
6b. Navigate to your cyanfox zip file
6c. Repeat step 6b for Gapps file
If upgrading from a previous version or switching from CM11
6a. Dirty flash
6b. Flash Gapps
7. Wipe Cache
8. Reboot and enjoy

i will try to find a fix. the i896 is a carbon copy of the i897, with the rogers logo. it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

My efs folder became blank after installing this ROM. I do have a backup but when I copy it to the root of the phone and restart it my IMEI stays unknown, and cant get service? Am I supposed to set some permissions or something?
I came from 4.1.2 MIUI ROM, now I flashed back to that ROM and everything is fine. This is really weird.

yeah that happens..
whenever you flash 4.3 over 4.1.2 or 4.0.4 then the IMEI no becomes invalid..
In your case you need to flash the rom again after you restored the files in the efs folder..
that is why your IMEI no got restored when you flashed back to MIUI....

it does? weird... its working fine for me... try on a different computer, or try at starbucks (use their wifi).
I've got to say this is great ROM!!! I have used A LOT of different ROMs, but this one is probably the smoothest and fastest one ever. Thanks Cyanfox

Q:So, What is this thing?
A: It basically Replaces stock LineageOS apps with the Google apps.
Q:Why do we need this?
A: If you're using Nova launcher or Pixel launcher i'm sure you would have come across ''force 3D touch". That thing doesn't take place in Stock lineage apps like Phone, Messaging or Clock etc. Also the UI of Calendar app isn't good as compare to Google calendar app, however Google apps is the solution.

A: It will install Retro Music player, trust me it isn't bloatware but something better than Eleven (stock lineage music player).

Thank you! And Btw Update the site for mobile, still there are many problems with it. Like slideshow and other problems like unable to see some texts in last pic.
If you facing issue like phone app unable to see in app drawer, then it means you probably have dirty flash my new version over old one. In order to remove this issue, either do clean flash or open root browser go in system/priv-app/GoogleDialer and remove the older version, it's something with ''8.0.1...'' and reboot.
New stuff coming, tested well before implementing.

If anyone having any issues and who did dirty flash 5.0 over 4.0. I provide no support for it, do a clean flash of your rom and then my mod. Ive change many folder names so it would no work as expected.

I was not able to upload systen folder cause of bad internet connection but will do once it's stable
