Need Help to upgrade rooted i9505 to 4.4

Hi There Everyone,
Am a noob about android devices, i managed to root my S4 (I9505) with odin like a few months ago. now i want to update my fone to 4.4 kitkat. Details are :
Model: GT-I9505
Android Version: 4.3
Baseband Version: I9505XXUEMK9
Region: United Arab Emirates
Please help me as i dont have a clue where to start and what do i need. plz feel free to email me on [email protected]

1. Log in and download this firmware: HERE
2. Follow this guide (forget Step 1 in Tutorial) for flash it: HERE

Go to sammobile and download your firnware and flash with the odin or update via kies...

Thanks for the responce guys but downloading from SamMobile gives only few KB/s which will take ages to download i was able to download
{I9505XXUFNB8_I9505OXAFNB8_I9505XXUFNB8} from a torrent site am not sure if i can flash it with other region's OS

If your phone is not locked u can install any region firmware By doing so, you will break the link between the phone's Product Code and its firmware CSC.
This means you will not get Kies updates.

my mobile is gt-i9500 its rooted and twarp recovery is installed now i want to change my rom from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4
what all things do i need to upgrade ? what all things do i need to keep in mind when updating to a new rom ?

Which 4.4.4 Custom rom do you want to flash..??
Check the firnware on which the ROM is based..you ought to have the same firmware..
Never flash anything for i9505 on i9500 or i9506.
I9505 Roms are specific for i9505
I9500 ROMS are specific fora I9500
Have a backup. If anything goes wrong you can always restore the old rom without any data loss.
Always follow the steps in the OP. NEVER TRY ANYTHING BY YOURSELF, because devs do know better than us.
Things you need:
The custom ROM
A custom recovery
The same firmware as is it in the rom.
Just flash the rom by following steps in the Original Thread of the rom..

There are many roms availabe mate..you have to select what suits you..like the S5 looking roms or the AOSP or AICP..Check in the GALAXY S4 I9500 Android Developement...
Nothing india or usa specific..
You ought to have the firmware..just that..
Like if a roms is based on XXUGNG8 then flash XXUGNG8 official firmware, Install recovery and flash the zip of the ROM. Just dont flash a network specific rom..

For the ROM's firmware, read the thread. Devs generally say based on XYZ Firmware.
For the official firmware

its give network issue....
there are full network out of home and in home only 1-2 bar of network signal .
help me..
Can i install any other Indian Firmware Version to solve this problem ?

Head over to samobile and download a new version of your Firmware and flash it with ODIN. Just search the forums on ODIN and you'll find a lot of tutorials.

1) which Indian firmware version i should install. i dont know which is letest currently i have N9005ZZHENH4 version..
2) After flashing with indian version network weak problem will solve ?

1) In the Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app, open the Menu > 'Firmware Browser', you will get the latest firmware for your device (the latest one is on the top of the list).
2) In theory the answer should be Yes but it may depend on many other factors..

But you won't get more signal bars at home... If this is your only problem, leave it. I guess you will screw something up flashing your phone.

Unfortunately Hongkong device is not compatible with another firmware. If you want to flash Indian firmware over your Hong Kong device, you should flash with the PIT file.

Ohh My God, u will brick your phone, there is NO SM-N 9005 For India at all how u will get Indian firmware? read more before u play with your working phone .

Your model isn't SM-N900. The latest stock firmware for your device is this ONE. Download and unzip it. Flash it via ODIN then. Enjoy :highfive:

I had a S4 I9500 Indian Version but still no lollipop update but all my friends got it.

My mobile has some problem or its not released yet?

This is probably due to the INS and INU firmwares. If your firmware is INU then you will get updates of INU only. Another alternative is that register yourself on sammobile and download the lollipop firmware and flash it through Odin.

If your phone has been set to "custom" you will not get it...you need to be 100% stock in order to receive the official OTA release...
Option 2 would be to go to Sammobile get it and flash it with Odin

You better wait or manually flash official rom through odin.
