Just picked up a Xperia and loving it so far..still kind of getting a hang of the WM6.1 . I had few questions regarding installation of cabs :
I am running the Touch-IT X3.01 ROM and I have recently installed the Youtube and Google Maps application. The installer says the installation is successful , however I am unable to locate the icon to start it ?
Can anybody please help me with this?

You have learn about search function. Your phone is half bricked, we have a 3 topics about it, and only one is the main, other is spam, like yours. First search, second ask. Simple rule.

ERROR [226] : FILE WRITE
if your bootloader version is 5.x.x you'll need to downgade it using gold card
then flash custom rom

Just new to this phone recently come from the HD2, looking for a rooted copy of the 2.3.4 version stock rom, has anybody got a copy they could load up.
Would be much appreciated

I was hoping if somebody could help me return to my original rom. The reason is that the boot up too long (10-15mins) and I cant receive any messages anymore.
I've tried looking up the net on how to but I cant seem to find one.

i have some Questions, which Rom can you recommend? And no Stock Rom please , i read something about CM12 but it looks buggy on some Points.
