Bad thing about the s-pen - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Hi guys ,
I had my new note from almost 3 weeks
But i noticed something in the pen
It not that Accuracy
You know when i put it on the screen the halo circle is a little bit to the left
Is it something with my note or every one have it ?

Adapt the way you hold it so they line up.

There's an app called reset s-pen which helps.
Galaxy Note N7000: JonRom UBLSF 4CYL Turbo Tweak + SpeedMod + XXLSO

In settings, there is a section for the s-pen, choose which hand you hold the s-pen with.
Otherwise if it's correctly set, then reset it as the others have suggested.

If you have done the step above and it hasn't helped or it still isn't perfect then download from google play "touchscreentune (galaxy note)" You can adjust the pointer with that along with other things with the screen... you will need root however.

Touchscreen sensitivity

Does anyone have a flashable package that increases the sensitivity of the touchscreen?
Or would anyone be able to give me a quick rundown on how to adjust it?
I know there were a few values floating around a while back.
Thx in advance.
There is an app in the market, something like galaxy $ screen tuner, tho I can't remember its exact name

Thanks. Downloaded and am using it now. Dunno do I see much difference though. Using "optimized" and super optimized .
Anyone recommend settings with this app. ??
My main gripe with the screen is its not sensitive enough when texting fast.

I've been using gingerbread keyboard and smart keyboard pro and both react the same to my texting. I don't use swype.
I use since day one I got the SGS in june and can't operate the phone without. Superfine is good for me, but you can fiddle a bit to find settings that suit you. Too bad that pernament fix ain't possible yet.

sorry to drag this thread up again, but does anyone know how to change the sensitivity in gingerbread?
i'm using JVR and the touchscreen booster app does not work. I can remember it did work when I used it on froyo.

Settings button

Ok, here's the deal: there is no settings button on the free xda app for the tab. Or I don't see it.... There is no way to change settings (white/black background, refresh, create new thread, etc). The button normally sits next to screenshot button...It's driving me CRAZY.... I've tried everything like restore settings from titanium, reinstall, as well as fresh download...any ideas??
Btw I use overcome with pershoot's kernel on a p7500 16gb tab. Oh as far as I remember this also happened with stock rom. This is even more frustrating than the lack of camera in ics.... (yes, it happened on ics snapshot also if you want to know...)
sent from my nokia 3210
I think the lack of a settings button is inherent to the actual version (1.5.2), in the version 1.4.2 the settings are still there.
Maybe... But this only applies to the tab because in my phone it is there...I should try the hd version which is optimized for tablets...At least in the screenshots I see what must be settings. Thanks!

I'm trying the HD version right now and there's the settings button, besides, it looks better than the free version.

[TIP] Hidden/Alternative S-Pen soft key gestures

Hey so while fiddling around with my Note 2 today I discovered a new feature that I have never seen in any videos or in any thread so I figured I must not be the only one who didn't know.
This is an alternative to the current back and menu gestures which are shaped like this < and ^.
1) Go back gesture: On the bottom right side of the screen flush to the edge, simply swipe down while holding the S-Pen button, this will trigger the back button soft key.
2) Menu gesture: Similarly, just swipe with the S-Pen pressed on the bottom left side of the screen.
Although this is ultimately the same as the other gestures, I find this one MUCH easier to get used to rather than the awkward backwards arrow. Hope you enjoy this tip :highfive:

Wow, actually it does work.
Great tip, thank you!
Much easier indeed compared with the arrows.
For those who can't find the trick. The line should be around one quarter of the screen height and should be finished on the bottom on the screen.

Even works from the middle for me, as long as you're in the lower half of the screen when starting. But quarter works fine as well

Good Find !! :good:
HOME BUTTON: Make a "less than" sign anywhere on the screen
Quick Command: Make a 1inch line going UP anywhere on the screen
Menu: It's also works if you make a carrot sign, which is this: ^
EDIT: Nevermind, the less than sign is also a back button......
Cool! I was a little disappointed with those gestures, but now everything is so simpler! Thanks a lot!

[how to] make ur Galaxy note2 fly :D

go to setting - developer setting scroll down to drawing set window animations scale - transition animations scale - animator duration scale to off
then go to S voice - setting disable lunch S voice via home button
profit
{happey flying Note2 }
Oh OK! I first came into this thread thinking of how you were going to throw it, or attach some wings to it and have it glide, or something like that! ^.^
Good tips! I have already disabled the S Voice launcher because I hardly use Google Now! Why would I use S Voice? The animations sounds like a good idea, it'll make it feel a lot snappier as it won't waste time with trans, and save battery life in the act as it won't have to cycle the CPU for those animations (very minimal, but still a plus).
Yawn.....

Yeah... I don't really think we need more tweaking xD It's damn fast also when really stressed.
For example some days ago, It happened that I needed GPS navigation (with copilot) ... for mistake I launched Need For Speed MW ... and soon after Copilot...
Everything was happening smooth .. I got position etc... xD then I killed NFS , and I continued to use copilot... but the beast had everything under control and it was snappy

Multi window for our Samsung Galaxy S

Developers, I want your attention towards the multi window feature which is available in some high end Samsung phones.
It would be an achievement if our Samsung Galaxy S gets the multi window.
I saw the below given link in which this feature has been ported successfully to Galaxy Grand Quattro
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544955
I think a 4" screen is probably too small for multi window, maybe I'm wrong.

And the Galaxy s Advance?? Have the same screen and have multi window -.-
You mean someone has added it in a ROM?
That doesn't always mean it's a good idea lol
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
I have an S3 now (I had a Galaxy S before though), 4.8 inches of screen with Multiwindow. It may just be because I have big hands, but even on the S3, multiwindowing is barely comfortable. On the S, who knows how well that may work.
Also, that multiwindow needs Samsung JB 4.1.2.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
Yeah, that's what I thought - a bit pointless..

Don't get me wrong though, it has its uses. Youtube surfing while Facebook/Messaging is pretty damn cool.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
There is no point using it on a 4 inch device. I find using it on my s4 a bit hard at times. The S1 may not perform very well if this implementation is added to the phone.

But it is a cool feature that is much desired.
Whatsapp+MX player
xda+gallery
music+camera
maps+Internet
messaging+play store
tubemate+ uc browser
etc. and so on are the combinations which are welcome.
It would be a huge achievement for having this on our SGS rather than buying S4

Wrong. In omni ROM if you go to the recent apps list and hold your finger on an app it let's you put it into split view.
I tried whatsapp with MX player. Phone goes a bit laggy, and if you click in the whatsapp pane then the video pauses. Personally I'd prefer to watch my videos in nice fullscreen landscape and check my messages by pulling the notification shade down.
