have had that for 2weeks or so here in denmark, havent noticedd anything new in it sadly

If you have problem on kies with your SGS running W7 x32, you can try to work around this way, make Kies compatible to XP and run the Driver recovery from the left top corner (it may takes awhile), upon finishing recovery, plug in your SGS and try again.

Downloaded now, but cannot connect.... What an übercrappy sw! Won't do all the hassle with SD card format etc before I know there is a new firmware for my jf3 phone.

Same here - Running the installer and it aborts with an error message of "Unable to connect to servers"

Well, I got longer than that. Kies installed OK (disable firewalls and run as admin), but the phone can't connect....

Anybody succeeded?

I'm on JM2 so no.

Finally got connected today! I have found out that I always have to format internal SD card, so it is not something I will do before I know there is a new fw out.
The result: Found out that there was no new Norwegian fw.... to f..... bad. Beginning to be quite fed up now. Have had the phone since July 2nd, with lag....

I was able to download and install it with no problems. (United States)​

New update is available xwkh5 BUT YOU CAN ONLY UDATE VIA YOUR PHONE.

How did you update with your computer and using Kies or within the phone to update over the air?

After so many hard time with kies , because i was unable to update my phone .
I downloaded the xkf3 from www. samfirware.com and installed through odin. . i installed it and then went through setting to register for OTA ,i mean on the phone. this has got nothing to do with kies or my computer. Ater 5mins the phone notify me with new update and i pressed yes that was how i got it. You can forget kies . It is not reliable.

No joy for me. I'm on similar free firmware as well

Anyway like i did mentioned is a matter of luck. I did first tried from the begining to install ke1 through odin and the went back on phone to register on ota and then i got update message to install ke2 which idid. after that i treid ke7 with the hope to get the same messa but failed. i then insatalled the kf3 and the registered again for ota on the phone and i got the message update available voila.

can you post a screen shot of the build info (*#44336#)

I am sure they have... trouble is they have started to keep this sort of thing to themselves more recently, rather than sharing it with the community!

Samsung Kies fails to update my Note!

Hi this should be a general thread about updating Note via Kies. Let us write here all problem and solutions.
My problem is the following. I open Kies connect my phone and the press update firmware. Then Kies download the firmware. After that kies disconects and freeze!. I have disablet some application via Systemconfig exept update samsung update upload and download applications i have ICS and i have 2 times hardresset the phone :/ is my phone maybe bricket
Wy i can't update via Kies?.
Should i unblock more bloodware?.
Is my phone bricket?.
Some one maybe can record and upload to youtube a video?.

Lol you need csc of rom installed, all original to same rom belonging components and to unrooted for kies update. Good luck getting that

Where do you press update firmware. In kies air or on the phone. On the phone I can only find Software update.

Well, if he is able to download the firmware, his prob has nothing to do with CSC. If his prob was CSC, he wouldn't be able to download it because Kies would show a message stating his device was not elegible for official updates.

Apps update notifications and OTA problems

Hy everybody, I need all the possible help here. I got a huge problem with my s3. Since a bought it I've never received an OTA update even though I should have received 3 of them (2 ics 4.0.4 and a 4.1.1). Always updated via kies or at least Odin. Why? Never rooted my phone, everything has always been stock. What's the problem? Second problem(the worst for me) is "app update notification". Same thing here, a never receive notifications in case of an update even if settings are set to notify me and automatically update but nothing. The only way to update my apps is to go inside the store and check my apps. Only if I reboot the S3 sometimes I receive a notification. I've tried tons of hard reset or deep cleans but never solved the problems. Is there out there a genius who can help cause I'm going crazy about these two thinks here. Please help me. What's the problem? How can I solve it? Thanks in advance.

I understand what you mean. But try to do a Factory reset from the Phone itself under Setting-Backup/Data and then Wipe Data/Cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Once you have done so. Re-flash your real Firmware through ODIN and make sure your device status is not Modified.
If the above does not work then Go into Emergency Firmware Recovery from Kies, type in the details and it will restore it to factory settings from Manufacturer then update it via kies or OTA.

Bumping is against the rules ..
OTA you may have no OTA or the vendor is not pushing updates OTA .
Like i have FOTA and Kies removed on my phone as standard as i use XDA firmware .
Your best bet would be to check the vendors forums re the OTA update disabled and check a Samsung forum for Kies updates .

Please Help Me Update my TM Note 4

I have TM Note 4. They launched the Marsh mellow update couple of days back. When I tried to check through software update it told me "Server has reached it daily download limit check later or use smart switch etc." But now when I check it, it says "device is up to date"
I cant use my laptop as my wifi switch on it is broken so cant use net. Want to do the OTA update but then this new message is annoying.
Also can I download the official file from somewhere and then use it to update my phone through USB connection. If so where to find it and how to do it. I can ask a friend to download the file for me. Please Help.

They may have temporarily pulled the update, just try again later. There is a way to use the downloaded firmware and Odin over USB, but if you were ready for that you'd already know where to look for the files.

Are you rooted? If so first download the firmware from here

Then get Flashfiire app from the play store and use it to flash the firmware.

I have heard of Odin but never used it. My phone is not roote. Will it put the official marshmallow on it? Can you please guide me how to use Odin and wher to find the original firmware. I shall be grateful to you.
