Pre ordered from CPW and got a text the other day saying delayed and will now be delivered by April 3rd instead of 15th march originally. Why are they not getting stocks and delivering if other places are?
Why order from them? They are expensive, no stock, cancel them then order from p4u ...

I've always used them. No more expensive than anywhere else and I want the beats headphones rather than a case.
I have ordered in store through cpw to be delivered to the shop, despite customer service being shocking. Cant wait to get it, but they dont seem to be giving any information out as to when. Not even a guidance date. Keep convincing myself good things come to those who wait,

Nothing since they text to say will be delivered by April 3rd. Waiting for the silver one. If phones 4 U still did the earphones offer I would have jumped ship by now. Not happy with CPW.

April 2nd is quoted for both silver & black models on their website. If the black is delayed until the end of April surely CPW would let customers know.

I'd phone them up mate and check they have website date correct for black b/c everyone else is quoting end of April for it, they'll let you swap colour if date is different save you having to wait a month longer

Nope, i did place my order on Friday though when it was saying estimated delivery 2 April.
I only ordered with them for the free Solo Beats, so I'd like to know my order is complete and they're just waiting on stock!

Which payment method did you use?
If paid with gwallet or paypal, they charge instantly. If credit card was used, then upon dispatch.
Says "Due in soon" on their website. Bad news by the looks of it.
EDIT: Just on the phone with Beats.

Just off the phone to them. They said they haven't heard anything from HTC or their suppliers about the delayed rumour. They have contacted them and are awaiting a reply.
They said to ring them after 10 in the morning and they will know then but by the sounds of the guy it looks very promising for Friday delivery

Fingers crossed 3 have told me it could come next week (but the expected date on their website is in fact just a latest expected date) but they'll let me know, and if they let me know. I'll let you know!
Also buymobilephones.net told me that they were expecting stock by the 18th so there could be hope hat HTC are back on track and have pulled it back. Atleast on the Silver handset anyway.
So if you're being put off by a possible wait its worth asking the question rather than just not bothering because you think its late anyway.

I had same conversation with CPW last week they told me while estimated date on the site and sent out in Texts is 29th there is a chance stock will come sooner, I'm so hoping mid next week
Buymobilephones.net have updated me on Twitter saying 28th.

Regarding 3 - I ordered the silver version on Saturday afternoon - spoke to someone on the helpline yesterday (Monday 18th) and she said it would be delivered today (19th), but I rang again to confirm this morning but it was still in the warehouse and not due for despatch later today. Rang again a few minutes ago to see if was going out tonight, but now been told that only orders made on or before last Friday would be going out this week - any orders made Saturday onwards would be delivered for the 28th (which is fair enough I suppose, as that's what it said on the website when I ordered). Thought there was a sneaky chance I might get it early for a moment, but not to be.

Yes I was told there was a chance of delivery today but apon calling today it was like everyone had forgotten the One existed or something. Acting properly stupid! They said they had stock coming in and I could hopefully have it by today but it seems they're saying one thing and doing another!
I don't mind too much as long as it does come by the 28th as promised, but it annoys me that they say something to get your hopes up then don't follow through. Gits!

Due to the bank holiday period we are unable to get firm dates on the deliveries of the HTC One in both colours.
We aim to send out an update email to all pre order customers by Wednesday of next week, 3rd April 2013.
We apologise that there has been an unforeseen delay due to HTC postponing the release of the handset in any large volume.
Mobile Phones Direct will be back in touch next Wednesday as mentioned above."
So it looks like we wont see deliveries until next week,

Just for info. I cancelled my deal with these as there was in identical deal with affordable mobile who were charging around £15 cheaper for the upfront phone purchase. When I phoned them to see if they would match it they said no. I said screw you and went somewhere else. Be worth checking as both were advertising through uSwitch.

Mines bought now. Good deal either way. As long as mine turns up with no gaps and works well, I'm happy.
I will certainly be visually inspecting it physically before I even turn it on and I won't be inserting the sim card immediately either.

When I placed my order at MPD, it was 60 up front, 26 a month x 24 months, 500 min unltd texts, unltd data.
I got the same deal at Affordable Mobiles except for 30 up front and I also get the Media link(value around 50pounds) free. So saved 30 and a free media link. I am certainly not complaining with that. Cannot bring myself to pay more than that a month for a phone, no matter how good it is.

Same here. I paid 40 quid , and will be 26 a month. Ultd txt net and 500 mins. T Mobile.
I'm happy with that tbh. I'm gonna see if mine comes next week.
A note to all. When you get your phone , BEFORE you turn it on physically check it over and then try turning it on without sim card in. You will be in better position to return if your handset is dodgy.
Good point. After all the posts I have read so far, I will certainly be giving my phone the Once over before it is turned on. Really hope the guy I spoke to at Affordable mobiles was correct when saying that they would be delivered next week(now this week) as all the major carriers were now sorted out. I last release device I got was the Original Desire. It is nice to get them when released if for the right price( like the One).

They say that you shouldnt put sim in till after youve fully checked the device over. It stops the retailers from having any qualms about you returning it.
Just an update. Mobile Phones Direct on their site, now state, " Order now for next working day delivery ".
So this seems promising. I hope.

Indeed that's a hopeful sign my pre-order from February 25th for a Silver HTC One might just be soon on its way. My last email contact from them said stock arriving Tuesday 2nd April for delivery 3rd April. I certainly hope so because otherwise what is the point of pre-ordering when it seems you can walk into any P4U or 3 shop and pick them up. I have had enough of watching all the video reviews now! Agreed, and will do, although last year I bought an XPlay from dial a phone and ended up sending back 3 phones because of a constant reboot issue and they did not once question it(within the 28 days) I ended up with my E3D as a result because I could not be without a phone. Good decision because I love my E3D. I won't have an issue at all sending it back if it is not right. It makes it much easier that it will be bought online as you have more rights of return.

I don't think there would be many issues with sending a phone back if it developed a fault ( even if you put Sim card in ) but, I do remember seeing messages on the internet from various people complaining that retailers such as MPD / affordable mobiles and Dialaphone, have been very difficult with regards to people sending their handsets back after it messed up in a couple of weeks or so.
Something on the lines of " They said i cant send it back because when i put the sim in i agreed to their contract " Blaa Blaa Blaaa.
I'm a bit more savvy myself and would just lay down the rules and quote references from the sales of good act here in the UK or what ever it is. Shops tend to sh!t themselves when you bring out the big guns lol. But some people DO try it on.
I've pre-ordered a silver one myself. Hoping it comes in good working order.

Hey Vizzy. I spoke to them on Thursday last week to confirm my media link(was not mentioned when going through with the deal online) and then asked them when delivery would take place. The gut said that they would be getting them on Tuesday and delivering either next day or day after so we should receive them Thursday/friday. Holding thumbs it is before the weekend so I can spend some quality time with it over the weekend.

Just wanted a to created a thread for people in the UK buying/pre-ordering the Z1! I pre-ordered mine from Phones4u, got the smartwatch 2 with metal strap + bluetooth speakers as I got a 4G tariff + 65 quid of content. What did you guys get?
Also this is my my first time pre-ordering a smartphone so I was wondering do you usually get it on the release day or they only dispatch it then? This is for carriers like EE O2 Vodafone and for companies like Phones4u and Carphonewarehouse...

I believe when you receive it depends on the shipping you select. For example, I pre-ordered the Xperia Z1 from HandTec UK and it is expected to release September 16. I chose 1-3 day shipping so it should come sometime next week hopefully.
i pre ordered from clove uk, i'm from brazil, i think only receive in next week
Preordering mine at my three store at Liverpool Street station, confirmed my phone will be delivered to the store Friday morning.

That wouldn't be too bad. Remember, clove will ship to the UK people first followed by the other countries and anyways will take a while to arrive in Brazill unless they ship it with UPS or something!

Well lets wait and see! At least you have a definte date! Phones4u are just saying shipping in the week of 16th Sep...It better reach me at least by Friday which is the release date!!!

I don't agree with that - I asked Clove about their shipping order policy and it is on a first come first serve basis no matter where you live, so if you are the first person to pre-order a Z1 and live in Brazil yours will be the first out the door - why would it make a difference where you are from ???????
I hope all you pommies take the TN displays early, so that we can have the proper display batch. lol

Lucky you, I've just rang CPW CS and they have just told me there is a delay, couldn't tell me when, so raised a complaint for me.

Email stated dispatched, delivered next working day (tomorrow)
O2 tell me:
1) Order is processing - so they do not know about delivery
2) Order will be 3-5 days (email states this is ONLY for people not in uk mainland..)
3) Courier is uk mai - this maybe true
4) SHould arrive tomorrow - call them tomorrow to confirm
5) Will arrive this week
In summary - the guy had no idea!

I have checked mine and nothing shows up. But when I pre ordered the z with 02 it only showed up on the ukmail website when they get it at one of there depots.

Today this updated to Ships the 27th, Delivers the 28th

That's how it was last year, everyday it changes. Tomorrow it will say ships 28th, delivers 29th. So don't get your hopes too high

Tracking status will tell you that it will ship tomorrow and arrive the next business day and so on until April 3rd rolls out. I just got off the phone with a rep and he told me (and other xda users apparently) that the phone will ship no earlier than the 3rd of April. I placed my order for the M8 Dev on the second call block since the first one was apparently sold out right after the M8's official announcement and the website temporarily disabled purchases of the phone. So who knows? lol Some people maybe get the phone earlier. As for me? I'm doing some homework on what case and glass screen to buy. The Dot View case looks neat but I wish it had a clear back cover. Anyways, good luck with the orders, guys
I see that Amazon have dev editions so I guess they will ship on the 3rd also

I've tried to order from HTC (under 2 emails so far but haven't tried different cards), and immediately after I've placed the order it has said "Cancellation Requested". I have no idea what's going on, and really don't want to call them :

HTC needs to get their s*** together. They don't even have the specs right on their own product page! Also, LetsTalk is trash and they oughtta come up with their own system. You know it's bad if you can't even give them your money -_-

Yep. I'm on hold with them (LetsTalk) right now. Apparently it was because they'd had an order at the same address with a different card (my M7 order last year), and it was marking as fraudulent in their system. I just had to go through a series of security questions from my bank, and I'm in the process of getting it resolved. You may be in the same seat with the order from a different card, and it was on my 3rd representative that they actually noticed this and helped me. It may be trouble, but hopefully it all works out.
EDIT: Just got it all sorted out. Apparently, every order through LetsTalk that is for a phone has to be called in and verified. Glad it's finally over!

I had the same experience. After I ordered the dev edition at 1pm before it was taken down, My order was cancelled. I had to call back in to verify my order. They did a security check by asking me security questions, much like those from a credit report. And after that it was verified and confirmed. I guess they are just covering their bases but still I wish that they would of called me instead of canceling the order initially and me having to call back.

For me basic questions to verify identity.. In what county do you live, what address have you been associated with in the past 5 years, Questions like if you apply for credit they would ask based on the info they can get from your credit report but in this case your bank provides them.

Yep. Same things for me. The (actually quite helpful) rep told me that this was standard procedure with all phone purchases from HTC for security and fraud prevention (especially during periods with promotions like the free shipping one now).
