[Q] How to enable long press app kill on PARANOIDANDROID rom - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How to enable the option to kill app while holding the return button in PARANOIDANDROID?
I had the option in AOKP rom.
Any way to enable it in parandroid?

PA doesnt have this, no way to enable it.
CM has it (i belive they introduced it ?) and as you mentioned so has AOKP.

There is no option on PA.
But real question is WHY you want that. you have 2GB RAM and I never felt any difference if I dont kill anything for weeks.

For buggy apps that crashes on you.

On cm10.1, the option is on Dev settings, at the bottom

Still no solution to this one? I loved this feature in Xylon.

Google is your friend. You will need to build PA from source with your desired cherry picks.

Well, here's a first.

I got my nexus s 4g with the same intention I've had with all my androids..root,flash custom rom, custom kernel, n have perfection on my phone. Well how surprised do u think i was when i got the phone n fell in love with the stock rom. Holy crap is the stock rom basically flawless...lol

Same here bro, same here!
Same, I don't see too much to complain about on stock. It's light, responsive and fairly stable. I'll root it eventually of course though. I'm sure there are too many under-the-hood options that I'll be dying without before long
My only complaint seems to be random data drop outs. Is that a known issue or wtf is going on lol

Same thing for me. Have had the phone since a few days after release and no real urge to root or do anything else.

Nexus s 4g is plagued with all sorts of data issues. Its what the alleged ota is suppose to fix. As far as the stock rom, I almost always run stock with a matrix kernel. I like bln amd voodoo color.

I totally agree with you guys, stock is rock solid on this phone. But voodoo sound and color really add to the hardware aspect of the Nexus S.

Yes but OEM unlock wipes your phone. That's why I did it not long after I got my phone even though I kept it stock for a while.

That's if you flash a stock deodex rom for the ns or ns4g just flash that on top and you'll have the toggles in place

Played around with it for a bit last night. Really like changing status bar icon color without using a theme, and changing ui modes without reboot.

any word on getting a ns4g port? I gave it a quick shot the other night and I couldn't get it to boot. It was prior to the posts regarding flashing a new kernel, however. But since I'm already stretched thin working on 3 other roms I wouldn't mind passing this on to another dev

I totally agree, being aokp regular I'd certainly love to see it, perhaps make the request in the official thread (links in my Sig) for the enhancement although with a new 4.3 build I reckon that they'll have work cut out at the moment.

Yea. But with cm you have to swipe specifically on the bottom handle bit...you unfortunately can't do it anywhere.
I know this isn't what you're asking for.. But I use Nova and swipe down anywhere brings up notifications and swipe up brings up quick toggles.

Hi, yes, I use the ROM. It's actually not buggy at all!
There are not many features yet, but it is stable and fast.
I love multi-windows but I think it could be improved with two things: 1) panel resizing, 2) both panels active at the same time.
Try it!

And until it does have both panels active at the same time, I don't find it any more useful than just stock multitasking.
