im trying to install the new lvsw rom and i'm getting the an error message ''RUUWRAPPER.EXE APPLICATION ERROR'' can someone tell how to make this work

Do you have .net 2.0 installed? If so, have you tried redownloading the file?

see the guide for upgrading to LVSW. This will talk your through it. Read it through word for word and you will be fine.

CRC Error
trying to download the RUUWrapper but when i try to unzip it
it says CRC Error

Strange error after first BOOT

Hi everyone, I just recieved my brand new Diamond2 in Czech localisation (original from retailer) and after first boot I got this error:
Error
Install
\Windows\OpenCZ_Settings_Topaz.CAB
failed, code=0x80090006
I assume its the czech localisation but any advice? If I dont solve the problem, Ill send it on monday back

There are a couple of things you can do:
- Manually try to install it using the file explorer: \Windows\OpenCZ_Settings_Topac.CAB
- Make a hard-reset (hold Vol-up & Vol-Down and press the reset button under the battery case to see if it happens again.

- I tried several hard resets and booting with / without SIM and or microSD - still the same error
- I managed to get the phone partially working, because you can move the error window aside and access the startmenu and open explorer. I executed the file manually, but got the error message: "The program cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."
Unfortunately I can not access the phone via USB (first customisation hasnt finished and active sync does not open) and I'm afraid flashing the device with another ROM because of warranty
Any Idea how to tweak the phone to lower the phones security allowing installing not signed cabs?

well if you get this error even after a hardreset, you should definitely send it back..

My device from Czech too. I found this cab file in Windows folder, if you need it i'll upload it for you.

Try sdkcert. That should do what you want install it before installing your .cab what is needed

Problem solved - i sent the device back and the whole board was replaced - new IMEI, but now its working like a charm

for the future..I have had a same problem with my TD2..After few hours I found out that I could this error off in taskmanager. Then it worked.. It was just some czech layout for my topaz but I did not want it either.. So for those who will buy TD2 with this error and don´t want chzech langugage on it, just close it in taskmanager..

[Q] 7720 Chevron/Sideloading?

Hey All,
I noticed, that when I updated to 7720, the device isn't actually chevron unlocked, because when I try to install something via TOMs XXAP's keeps giving me error after error, I have done the DEV_UNLOCK cab & done the DEV_ROOT cab, but I can't seem to be able to sideload any program..
I have a feeling I may have done something wrong, can anyone help?

Anyways, you should check that the Apps isn't installed (Even if Tom Xap reports error it install apps).
-Did u do a Hard Reset?
-Do you have Windows Phone 7 SDK installed?
-I supposed your phone isn't on lock screen.

I have just updated my phone with 8107 and is trying to update the language gotten from here but I get this error when installing:

Hi, please read this post. You can create your own firmware and sign it with your certificate

Is this the only thing I can do?
I have no clue how to do this, has nobody else the same problem, how has done this?
Or is there an XBmod version of the Danish lang pack?

DFT UltraFruit don't lock SD Card.
DFT UltraFruit don't have XBmod Certificat.

first of all, you do not have the same problem. your sd card is locked which more than likely means you are on yuki's rom. you need to install storagelock.cab to unlock it using yuki's rom or you need to read the threads in the q&a/general on unlocking sd cards.

the certificate error sometimes clears up by exiting the cab sender then resend the cab. if not, it's an issue between the cab and your rom.
as for language packs...here you go...this information could have been found by reading xbmod's threads. doesn't anyone read anything and do a some research???

The error is because you need an unlocked bootloader (HSPL).

Cab sender

Hello
Few days ago I have force update to 7.8 with cab sender and it worked. Yesterday I saw this ROM

and I wanted to put it on my Omnia 7. First I have done back up with cab sender and created restore point in Zune. After that I have downloaded this new costum ROM and my Omnia 7 was unlocked, unbranded and it had a new custom ROM. Next thing I wanna put all my backuped files back to mobile and then problem starts. Zune says it fail to restore and gives no any kind of error, and cab sender says error 801812E canot restore.
Can someone help with this ?
