Friends
If you would like to experience MIUI V5 on the galaxy note, please vote here : https://www.facebook.com/questions/491736580885922/?qa_ref=qd
Lets make it happen!

Already voted a couple of days ago We will most probably get v5 as when they announced that they need testers for the note 2, they added at the end of the post that the s2/3 htc one and note will be soon. That is on google +: https://plus.google.com/108531052526575991056/posts/NcVzcwb2fke

Why won't they just make v5 for devices which had v4?
Voted anyways.

It seems like the strategy for MIUI v5 is they are releasing it to a few devices at a time. I'm sure once they have officially released MIUI v5 (it is still in its beta version) I'm sure many devices can flash the ROM.
You guys should vote here too if you get the chance

Miui for galaxy s3!

the china miui have been confirmed that miui for our galaxy s3 will be released on friday for close beta team and then after one week bug tracking period,it will be public beta released d..hehe
ps:however, its based on official samsung rom,im still hoping someone could port it on CM9 based
Why port to CM9 base? I actually tried to do this, I couldn't get past the boot screen. I followed a guide on how to port miuiv4.
I believe the problem lies with you needing an existing miuiv4 to port, and the only similar device is the S2, but that rom is 4.0.3, and CM9 is 4.0.4. At least that's why I think it wasn't working. Gave up pretty fast.

because i have tried the stock rom based miui and cm9 based miui on my last phone sensation xe,the stock based rom is just so much slower and bugs than cm9 based.
actually i also tried as urs and no luck, same situation v urs.

Please do. The beta release does not feel snappy like cm7 based miui, also miui v4 themes don't theme all intended areas ie dialler and sms due to samsung base.

As much as I loved CM roms for my captivate, for the note, they still feel laggy compared to Samsung ones.
I expect it to get much better soon but at this point in time...I cannot recommend it.

Jelly Bean in the form of CM10 and other AOSP ROMs has been around for months now, don't know why people get that much excited. While Samsung *will* release 4.1.2, some of us are already enjoying 4.2.1, which Samsung will probably never release.

Miui port from Mi-2?

Hey everyone.
Ever since I got this phone I have been waiting for Miui on it and I know that there will be a release of miui v5 tomorrow for the Mi-2, so my question is, will it be possible to port it from the Mi-2 onto our lovely nexus 4s? I am not a developer so I have no idea if it would be possible
Thank you
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Nexus 4 will definitely receive official MiUI when MiUI v5 moves to 4.2. First release of MiUI v5 is based on JB 4.1.1 and since Nexus 4 doesn't have 4.1.1, we'll have to wait.

Man you are slow i was only talking about we do not need cm10.2 to get miui...any aosp can do besides it will take some more time to perfect cm10.2 than making any other aosp rom for the 9500...........Get it.......:silly:

Agreed but as one of the users pointed out, we first need a stable aosp rom and only then miui v5 can be made available for our device. Plus cm 10.2 is the only aosp project that has made progress to quite an extent.
Anyway, Grarak says that even touchwiz can be used. Well, that is something new to me. Let us see what really happens.

Psyche Satisfaction
I used MIUI on my xperia arc s for a year, trust me guys its beautiful but bit buggy also. Samsung ROM is pretty much complete BUT its always a welcome to give our eyes a treat of using MIUI ROM.
Most of us bought device not only for using official firmware but to satisfy our PSYCHE of trying everything exploiting every bit of Device.
Developers Bring MIUI and fill the gap.
