Quick question about the dev forums - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the difference between the Android development forum, and the Android original development forum? I cannot find any difference between the two.

it's just as the names imply "original" is built ground up from source, not kanged/themed... some times the simplest answer is the best answer

Difference to Android Dev...

This section seems to overlap the other in use (except things like the SD or camera thread).
What should be the difference?
If the other is Android ROMS and such for N7, what should be here?
(I would think 'other than' pure N7 Android stuff.)
Trying to help...

Q&A http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1675
please dont post threads in development sections unless you are developing something.
Well actually I would be very willing to help or test with hw development (like that SD mod) as that's always been my skillset - but every time I look it seems I'm going through the same ROMs I see elsewhere.
So to me it seemed like a 'N7 original development' ?.

The Android Development forum and Original Android Development Forum

Whats the difference?
Didnt have it on the Gnex forum

The development forum is for any kind of development, no matter how lame or derivative. Original is where hard core coders and devs go. They actually compile their stuff from scratch and have a dedicated forum to showcase it.

what do u mean???
He means this thread will likely be locked as there is no 'best ROM' and all the information you need is contained within the ROM threads. For those things in life that you don't get handed on a plate, use search instead.
Dead link removed by Moderator.
Your obviously new here, do everyone a favor, including yourself and spend some time just reading and using the search function to get familiar with things around here.

You boys behave yourselves
There is no "best rom" as stated prior. That's because different users have different tastes, Also, certain roms run differently on different tablets. And there's no way to predict.
Take your time and read the rom threads. You'll see if there are well known issues or or not.

Hello Nexus 10 community! I just recently acquired an Nexus 10 32gb and am very pleased with it. I just wanted to introduce myself on the forums.
Also I have a few questions (I know I should post this in the Q&A section)
1. How Do I Root?
2. How Do I Reflash The Entire Tablet (Everything(and Does it relock/reflash the bootloader/recovery))?
3. How Do I Unlock The Bootloader?
Thank You for your time!

Don't mean to be rude, but the point of a site like this is that it gathers and shares the questions, answers and experience of thousands of people on thousands of topics. It's organized in a pretty intuitive fashion, so you can navigate and find sections of interest. The search feature works just fine and can help you locate discussions relevant to your questions.
If you do a bit of searching and reading you'll learn quite a bit about topics like toolkits and what various members experiences have been. As with most topics here, you'll find all sorts of opinions, but with a bit of reading you can start to get a good sense of the issues and areas of disagreement, and make your own informed decision.
You'll find that you'll get a lot more help and support if you're willing to first make an effort to follow the guidelines described in the introductory topic area in the forum.

This thread is against the rules!
Just head over to the development forum and pick rom. All of them are good.
There is no such thing as an across the board best rom because what's best is entirely subjective. Read the dev forum, pick some roms that pique your interest, and then give them s test drive to see what is best for you, your unique hardware, and your unique circumstances.
