Hi, I was just wondering about this phone. In thinking of getting it because of its gaming pad, but is it as good as its made out to be? Also, the phone in general, good and bad things and whether or not you like it. Literally everything
Thanks!

I bought one on saturday from Phones4U £130, there are a few games free for it -Dead Space, sims3 , battlefield- the pad makes it a joy to use, I did have a desire, and chunky fingers meant using the touch screen for gaming was awkward. Although there is some bloatware that cant be removed this phone has been an excellent purchase for that price it runs all the usual Android apps, build quality is ok and you will need a bigger memory card -8GB isnt enough IMO- I havent used the music player yet so I cant comment on that side(despite having 300+ songs on it) best get to a shop and try it
Cool, thanks. The fact that ICS is virtually confirmed makes me want it more

Anyone you talk to who has this phone will tell you how much they love it. The emulator capabilities alone are worth the phone. Having a phone that acts portable PS1/SNES/NES/Genesis/GBA WITH the gamepad...c'mon it doesn't get any better than that!
Best gaming phone to date. One if the best phones ever

Best Phone Ever
Looks like I found my christmas present
Sent from my GT-I5500 using Tapatalk
You certainly have, I only wanted a new phone and this is easily the best value out there at the £120 (don't forget the £10 christmas day credit that's included). Another £8-£9 for a dock and it's just about perfect. All this before you get to it being a nifty games machine too!
I came from an iPhone and couldn't be happier.

Know where I can get it for less than £150 on tmobile? That's the cheapest I've seen it
Sent from my GT-I5500 using Tapatalk
yeah this phone is awesome! sometimes i wish it was dual core but its so fast who cares!
Yeah, I got spoiled by the game pad quick. I can finally play shadow gun and nova the way it was meant to be because it's so much easier to move, look and shoot at the same time now.
Plus being able to play all my childhood games on snes and n64.
This phone really is a one stop shop. Watch movies, read books, web surf, play games...the best phone I've ever owned.
My next phone will definitely have to have a built in game pad.

Refreshing, but not the only ones who do it
The main character in Grimm has an Android phone. Mozzie from White Collar uses one, as does Agent Jones.
Tony DiNozzo(sp?) from NCIS uses an Evo 4g.
The main character in Suits uses one as well.
Wow, that's pretty awesome. Good eye .

Although possible, I doubt that by Christmas it will be 10 million. A good portion of the 5 million sales figure probably incorporates Samsung's distributors, carriers, and retailers. Nonetheless, this does project likely high sales, but again, I doubt 10 million. Regardless, I love this phone and I should be getting mine Monday! I'm extremely excited.
The Note 2 is without a doubt the best phone i ever had (and had a lot ). It`s fast, rockstable and can do about anything, allready out of the box.
Got my new Note yesterday, haven't been able to put it down since turning it on. A very impressive piece of technology. Have finally found a phone with a decent loudspeaker on it, which makes it worthy of watching movies on...just got to try and sell my SIII now

+10000000 on this. More OEM's should focus on features like this on their flagships. Cough HTC cough cough lg cough Microsoft cough cough apple. Just kidding about apple. But between apple and Samsung maybe other OEMS will figure it out before they lose more face. SMDH high end phones would still have sub par sound when at the very least loudspeaker could benefit from it, not to mention the audio codecs supported natively and then output in general. Did you all also know that noise cancelation benefits battery savings also? Thank Samsung for the high end noise canceling, audience chip, which makes for higher quality calls and doesn't have to transmit extraneous noise from the background so the person you're talking to enjoys a nice clear audio quality.

its a beast no doubt abt that coming from a iphone 5 was waste of resources !!!!

Yeah, with all the controversy coming out about Samsung's paid 'user reviews', I would say definitely check out Anandtech's review - amazingly thorough and very hones. Covers casual and hardcore phone nerd interests very well.
Here's my review of the phone, trust me I got no extra money from HTC

Oh wow, the 9 for the S4 is weird. He/she is definitely a big fan of the S4 camera. The discrepancy between the rates are too high to be taken seriously.

I have also switched from s2 to one.
Call quality - very clear and loud. Perfect.
Wifi - i have recorded speeds of 25mb download
Battery - solely depends on case by case basis i have not used it to play games or watch videos yet and lasts me days and a half before it dies.
Ear phone - its ok for free ear phone. Other members in this forum rate these better.
Hope it helps.

After having a galaxy s (still going) and seeing Samsung's lack of software support, on that alone I'd choose the HTC ONE. I'd be happy with the hardware upgrade of the S4, but the ONE seems like its of better build quality.
Not only that, but the whole PR debacle where Samsung was revealed to have been spreading bad user reviews of the HTC One also casts a shadow of doubt on anybody ridiculously badmouthing the One. Good job Samsung!
Hopefully the fact that almost all of the reviews mention the HTC One in comparison will give it the media exposure it is lacking due to minimal advertising.
Wow is that confirmed to be true? But yeah its some media exposure for HTC is always good.

In my past experiences, Samsung was not much better. I hated dealing with their customer service as well, was a pain in the rear.

yeah right
I suppose I could just be having a bad experience with Samsung. In a way I'm glad, otherwise I wouldn't have tried so many great ROMs. I still think it should have been upgraded past gingerbread though.

i never had a phone from them, but i had one of their high end $ 3000 led tv got it replaced twice by amazon (thanks amazon) while samsung customer service a-hole told me (after 50+ calls over a month and 2 tv sets) they will not honor the warranty due me abusing the tv by keeping it on for more than 6 hours because the tv was reseting every 15-30 min (really i bought an lg led never had problem with and will keep on for a day sometime w/o problem), so no thanks if samsung will make the last anything on the planet i will not buy it.

Sony , Nokia , ASUS, LG's problems disappeared in a second. hTC sacrifices itself to save the world.
I was one of the people who was torn between the S4 and HTC One i kept changing me mind right up to the last minute. I was coming from an S2 which i never had any problems with infact its still a great phone over 2 years old (the misses uses it now and loves it) I'm glad i went with the One though it has that WOW factor that i dont think the S4 has. i'm more than happy with my decision the One is an amazing piece of kit
I take it all but the most demented Sammy trolls are now far too busy over on the S4 forums to hang around our street corner anymore.
