This is great.
I've figured it out by myself when I've bricked my own phone. I've started to search how to deal with the MEDFIELD device and have found some licked Intel software. So I've played with it a little and have gotten some results.
Here is the software:

Finished with "Service Required Code Corrupt" any idea ?
Thanks for the great tool! This rescued my phone one time!
Now, after I tried to restore from a Nandroid backup, I also get this strange error message "Service Required Code Corrupt".
Is there a chance to rewrite the tool, so that it can unbrick my phone again?

Hello all,
I have similar problem. My phone stuck on screen with text about unlocked bootloader and every few seconds it restart again to this screen (led diode also blink.
I cant load into fastboot and also turn off phone.
Before this, I unlocked bootloader and then by mistake run root for ICS by mattlgrof, which I then terminated (I know, I am crowned donkey).
I have JB from Orange GB.
I have try also method from this thread but no reaction.
Its some chance tha phone could be revived or I can throw it to trash?

Same question here. I tried it since yesterday and that feature is under maintenance till now. I am planning to unlock R800i. Did Sony Ericsson stop the bootloader unlocking and if so, any alternative to unlock bootloader may I know? Thanks in advance.
Well, we will see. Hopefully its just a real maintenance, but maybe they are fixing the hole which the guys used to unlock cdma phones.
Let's hope it comes back to life soon!
Regards
I guess they're fixing CDMA keys hole. Looks like Verizon isn't happy about it.
But I don't understand why it takes so long to modify some small piece of code to disable MEID calculator.
Maybe you DDOSed them too much ?

succeeded, but with a little problem. Could any1 pls help me?
i followed Bin4ry's guide [How-to] Root your Play.
On the first try of flashing system with play_modded, i got some error message like android.process.acore & android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly, so I soft reset it to factory setting and flash system again and succeeded, with no error message.
But the problem is after the root process, my phone can't detect 3G network. The service provider I am using has two options, 2G and 3G, and phone can only detect 2G network.
Another problem is that although I can find WiFi networks and connect, WiFi connection is not working anymore (no data send/receive through WiFi).
If any of you know how to fix that 3G network & WiFi missing issues, kindly let me know. Thanks in advance.
One more, my rooted play is now on 3.0.A.2.184 build and when I connect it to computer, PC Companion said found new software update and ask me whether want to update or not. Rooting process will be overwritten and I will need to root it again if I update software (base 3.1.A....something I think) I would like to know.
Thank you again.

For starters unlock ur bootloader again, as you need it to flash the kernel (which in my opinion is worth keeping), then go over to the developers sub forum, download the UK generic 4.0.whatever the rest of the code is firmware, flash it with flashtool, the go to doomlords thread and download his kernel. All instructions you need are in the relevant threads, easy to follow. I would link them, but I'm away from my computer at the moment. And I cant link from my phone. Sorry. Hope all goes well!

Hello there my friend just purchased a Rogers branded xperia play how would i go about rooting it and unlocking the bootloader? i highly doubt its as simple as fastboot oem unlock but am confused at the current state of affairs.
Hello there friend, do you know if the phone is carrier unlocked or is it locked? if the phone is unlocked it will be so much easier to root. if your phone is locked you will need to ask Alejandrissimo or Blagus to unlock it (this will cost 17 euros there abouts, the software they use to unlock your phone requires SERVER CREDITS which they have to pay for... by doing this your phone will become fully unlocked which means you can then go onto the netstage of rooting the device), there is no way i can help unlock the phone but soon as that is done the rooting is very simple and straight forward. if you are unsure if the phone is unlocked/locked try putting another sim card into the phone (has to be different network)
please check out this link if you would like to seek more infomation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043630

Hey dude, thanks for the offer ive been googling for the past few days and am still unsure about where to start. Do you mind if I ask a few q's?
1. I have a carrier unlocked r800i, but not bootloader unlocked. Its on 2.3.3 and I want to root but prefer to keep BL locked, is it possible?
2. If root will I still be able to get OTA updates?
3. Apart from titanium backup what is some fun stuff to do after rooting?
Thanks in advance man ;-)

You can always reLock the Bootloader after you rooted there is also a method that works on all cept R8OOX to get R00T without Unlocking the BOOTloader
If Bootloader is Relocked, you will be able to get OTA updates, dont do it by PCCompanion.if bootloader is UNblocked then you will get a BRICKed phone, but can be recovered i think.
Alot of great AppS for RooT,DroidSheep is mean but total fun (See what people are doing connected to the same network ) app2SD PLUS , setcpu for OverClocking on DooMkernel,LCDensity and Adfree are ontop of my head.Wireless TEHTER and RooTExplorer are great, with RC being a MUST!
I personally feel the Xperia Play threads here at XDA is very fragmented.
This place would be a whole lot better if there was a global thread posted, that was specifically dedicated to all things rooting.
This would ideally include -
1) A conclusive guide how to root every type of model
2) Bloatware that is safe to remove
3) Completed ROMS / partially completed ROMS safe to install
4) How to overclock
5) Xperia Play specfic rooted mods that are best to install
6) How to update firmware / software once rooted, and how not to brick your phone
I am perfectly capabel of rooting myself, i did it at 2.3.2, but now i refrain from rooting because there is no global guide how to do it and keep 2.3.3.
Yes there are guides, but like i say, they are fragmented and are not noob friendly.
Make a noob friendly guide and there will be a lot more interest in these forums.
Remember........the more people who are rooted.........the more people who will potentially purchase rooted software written by developers.
It's in everybodys interest to stop all this fragmentation of information, and for some expert to write up a conclusive guide to the Xperia Play.

i have a newbie question..
I managed to root my xPlay but most of the people say to not update from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 from WIFI if you are unlocked.
What is the meaning of unlocked? It means bootloader?
Yes unlock most likely refers to bootloader. If it's referring to sim, people normally put the word sim in front

Hi
I am a first time Android user, Picked up an Xperia Play on Monday gingerbread 2.3.3 , Build version 4.0.A.2.368 . Ive read through numerous threads here regarding Rooting and unlocking the boot loader, I'm falling at the first hurdle. For some reason when I try to put the handset into fastboot mode (holding search key while I plug in the usb cable) it just refuses to work. it just charges the handset and I get the green light on the power button rather than the blue one
Is this a know issue ?(haven't come across a solid explanation yet) and if it is , is there a fix?
I have tried another method of flashing the firmware using Windows 7 64bit and 32bit with the same results, system does not recognise the drivers.
So any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
If your bootloader isn't unlocked then ya you won't get a blue led it needs to be unlocked first

Actually Ive just gone back to look at the unlocking bootloader guide, and this is where Im having the issue.
5. Extract fastboot.rar and open fastboot folder
6. Hold SHIFT and right click on the background of the folder
7. Select 'Open command window here'
8. Connect your phone in fastboot mode (turn phone off, hold search button and plug in USB Cable)
Part 8 there...This is has to be done If I want to be able to unlock the bootloader....Am i missing something ?

This post is pretty much hitting the nail on the head.
Since there are so many different models of this phone and differences with regard to carriers it quickly gets confusing to find the right tutorial
Looks like my handset is network locked, I have requested the unlock code from my service provider, so Ill give it another go when I get it unlocked.
does anyone know if the US At&t version comes unlocked?
I am picking one up tomorrow and wouldn't mind getting a heads up on this
My unlocking the bootloader saga continues, I received the network unlocking code from my service provider this morning, now when I try to enter fastboot more I get an orange light instead of the green light I was getting before.
Any suggestions would be faboo

A script can accomplish anything that a user can accomplish on their own by doing the same commands. If there is a hardware or software error on the device that is preventing it from working the manual way then the script won't work either.

Hi ... yes I understand what you're saying. My phone's problem is possibly the micro USB port, seems to be working poorly. Phone charges but my PC and laptop suddenly don't recognise the device when connected by cable. Bear in mind I did drop my phone in muddy grass (ports got mud-filled) three days earlier, causing latent damage only now seen.
SO b4 I take it for warranty repair need to unroot etc but all methods required a working USB cable ... this method seems to be the answer I need. You agree?
You still need usb for this... you have to have usb debugging on....copy the folder to your computer and click run. It will do the rest with a few keys

So...I have not fully understood the OP's method. I foolishly assumed this procedure didn't require USB connection to my PC (which does not work anymore because PC no longer recognises my device via cable after some likely water damage).
Any idea how I can revert back to stock JB or ICS with a locked bootloader unrooted etc WITHOUT connecting to my PC via cable?? I really need to get this fixed under warranty.
Thanks in advance.
it says "waiting for device" and stops there...why??what can i do??
Learn how to do it the manual way and stop with these IMHO stupid damn toolkits.
Not directed at you or anybody but if you're not capable of installing drivers and unlocking with fastboot etc you have no business to actually have root access/unlocked bootloader etc.
any one can provide me mirrror for both cannot download from 4shared

First of all , i know there is a thread about removing the Unlocked bootloader logo. This thread is started just to present some information based on my personal experience.
I owe a Motorola Razr I with unlocked bootloader .......
A couple of weeks ago i decided to come back to ICS from the JB fastboot i was using(orange UK). Instead of using fastboot files made by mattlgroff I decided to fully flash the original ICS firmware for my phone using RSDlite. After the firmware was flashed i pushed the signed logo to the device.Of course the phone didn't finish booting and got stuck in bootloop. My phone became then a brick with a black screen and green led and i had to use the files from here to unbrick my phone. Big thanks to U1138 for finding the solution for unbricking.
When my phone phone finally booted i was so excited i didn't realize the ugly Bootloader unlocked logo is gone. I realized that yesterday while restarting the device and thought it's good to share it with everyone else and maybe will find a way for everyone to get rid of the ugly message on the boot screen.

here's a short video to proof the unlocked bootloader message is gone
I am not a hundred perent sure of that, but I think this worked on your device because you unlocked your bootloader while on ICS then, upgraded to JB using matt's fastboot.
For someone who upgraded to JB using the OTA and only then unlocked their bootloader, this won't work because the motoboot file version is already the highest (homemade fastboot does not flash motoboot, that's why you were able to flash after a downgrade)

Sent from my XT890 using xda premium
Anyone can confirm that intentionally bricking the phone by downgrading to ICS and reviving it deletes the unlocked sign?
Don't work with me
my logo returned to normal after restoring Pi-llama rom through cwm.
Could you be a bit more precise?
What do you mean with normal, no unlocked bootloader message left?
And what do you mean with restored?
Thanks!

Yes, its for unlocking the bootloaders for the Snapdragon Motorolas (Atrix HD, RAZR HD and RAZR M) but after unlocking their bootloaders the same message appears (the same that we have), @tucstwo has provided a file to remove the unlocked message for these phones, I don't know if that zip could be compatible with the RAZR i, but giving the fact that the zip file removes the unlocked message for these phones ALREADY RUNNING JELLY BEAN, maybe someone can give a try and see what happens...
Link of the zip file is on the 2nd post.
don't work...
LOL try some king of custom upgrade we known that we have some chance of brick our phone and we get this risk like a bet with more chance to win, but intencionally brick the phone that cost here in brazil more than $500 we have to be a great crazy.
Does this also work on ICS?

Hi,
Since Huawei closed giving away bootloader codes,
and I've blowed 60 USD on dc unlocker,
is there a way to get the bootloader code hash to decrypt it with hashcat, for example?
Best Regards,
Aleksander
Don't know about that but do you want to unlock your bootloader?

Yes but don't know how to get the bootloader code
Downgrade as low as possible and give it a try.
haexhub/huaweiBootloaderHack: Huawei-unlock-bootloader (github.com)
Edit:
First Download This -> SkyEmie/huawei-honor-unlock-bootloader: A simple tool for managing Huawei/Honor devices to unlock bootloader (github.com)
then grab unlock.py from haexhub and replace it. Then its a 'All-in-One Package' - no need to install anything.

THANKS A LOT M8!!!!!!!!!!!
I've started the program but i am just curious how many different codes/how many attempts can there be in total?
Thats a good question, im sure u can find the answer in one of the 2 repos. One is endless (pure bruteforce) vs IMEI + HASH.
I'm still too lazy to Downgrade my Phone to give it a try (with out rebooting every 4 attempts), because no clue if its worth all the effort, as Huawei modding / hacking seems like almost dead.

Ok thanks I've started the brute force the day same as u shared the github links and it's still on attempt around 97k so I'am still trying...
But do u know if it's possible to copy the WHOLE boot partition without unlocking bootloader?
Oh wow! Didnt expect that it might take this long.
And no, sorry. But i doubt that its possible, otherwise some sneaky hackers would found that gloryhole already.

Only Paid atm, and only P20(Pro).
There is free method, your devices are on the list and can be unlocked. See my post.

I have just successfully unlocked the bootloader lock by the Taobao service CNY30. It is done by PC remote control. My P10 phone (VTR-AL00) was firstly downgraded from my EMUI 9.1 to EMUI 5. Then the operation was very fast (ROM firmware loading time was long) & I can't see clearly. At last it was successfully unlocked & the guy gave me the unlock code also. If you guys want to do this, you need to ask a friend who know Chinese writing to chat on the net. Then I upgraded the phone using Huawei official upgrade from the phone to EMUI 9.0. Then I flashed the openkirin ROMs successfully. I've tried all four ROMs (RR, OMNI, AOSP, AEX). All of them have some bugs. One important one is the phone can't be charged when powered off. It will go to bootloader mode when plugged with the charging cable. You need to charge when the phone is on.
Install testpoint drivers ( https://files.dc-unlocker.com/share.html?v=share/18B15B9D02C945A79B1967234CECB423 - these worked for my p10 lite), enter download mode via testpoints then use PotatoNV - https://github.com/mashed-potatoes/PotatoNV , i just did this two days ago then installed twrp and rooted with magisk, fairly simple and insanely useful, only drawback is you need to open up your phone back cover to do it. Works without downgrading on Emui 8
THANKS GUYS FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT <3
I've succesfully opened my phone with dc unlocker
You may want to try the testpoint method. Worked like charm for me. Check potatonv git and YouTube..
Once we find the code, bootlocker unlocking factory reset it?
