Hello good people,
I'm having problem getting notifications for Twitter on my Nexus 4. Before, I was able to received them but lately I would need to refresh my time line manually in order to view for mentions.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

In Settings/Accounts/Twitter, is the application sync'ed?

Hey all I posted this topic a little while back but can't find a fix.
Since updating my nexus s on fido to 2.3.6 (unrooted) my gmail Outbox is a mess. It sends the emails fine - but the number beside the Outbox just keeps getting larger. Never resets back to zero. Even after a successful send. I've tried resetting the app data and even the device a couple times. I'm running the email on synchronize mode and i have multiple Gmail accounts on my device.
Has anyone experienced this issue and is there a way to fix it? I can't seem to delete the Gmail application to try to reinstall it and there doesn't seem to be an update available....
Cheers

Open gmail on a computer and delete the emails that are older and not showing up

Also, 2.3.6 is very buggy. Could be one of the bugs as well.

Must be a bug in 2.3.6......when I open up my Gmail on the computer all's fine...

Hi All,
I've just noticed on my Nexus 4 that it's constantly trying to sync google contact, I've check my Note2 and my Desire and all of them seem to be having the same issue.
Is anyone else having issues with their google contacts constantly syncing?
I've tried force closing contacts and clearing the data, then removing my accounts and re-set them up. However the issue persists!
Any help would be great.
Cheers
DK
It could be a Google server issue, how long have you been suffering this problem?

It's been happening for a day.

Did you try removing your Google account and then adding it again.
Try to only sync the contacts and calendar separately to see where the problem is

stop sync contract can't work?

Yeah I've tried removing the accounts then adding them back but the issue persists.
I've tried to sync only the contacts and sync is still constantly trying to sync the contacts.

I'm not trying to stop sync, my issue is contacts sync is constantly try to sync without success. The last sync was one day ago.
So if I check my Google account under sync everything says it synced within the last 1 hour. But contacts says it's trying I.E, the sync icon is next to my contacts constantly with a date of last sync from one day ago.

I had the same issue as well and it seems there are many with the same problem. I think might be some bug and hopefully it will be solved by the next OTA
I've manage to resolve the issue by force closing and clearing data on: Contacts, Contacts Storage and Google+. I have not resigned into Google+ and everything has been syncing for about half a day now. I'll keep you posted if it works.

Hi guys,
I was playing around with my Nexus. Saw that the syncing my contacts has been an issue. The actual contacts syncs pretty well, but this bug is sorta annoying me. Anyone know how to fix it or have this issue? I attached it. See how the Contacts part is 4-5 days apart. But my other ones are from today.
I have the same problem. Its been broken for me since late January. If you clear contact data it will sync back just fine. After that it will go back to being stuck.
It seems to only be happening with the Nexus 4 as my Nexus 7 and Xoom with 4.2.2 sync fine.

So backup your contact and then upload it to
www.google.com/contacts/
your all contact will be merged.
@zeuscluts
Does it fix the bug?
Like I said the actual contacts sync well, but this bug is annoying as hell.

Is anyone else getting this error message when trying to download apps from the Play store?
I have been getting for the past 2-3 days.
Delete your Google account then add it back.

If I remove and add the account again, do I lose some app settings or other stuff or not?
Does it matter if you lose a few settings if you can't use the play store anymore? Anyway I didn't notice any loss but it's possible.

I have same error, but how to delete current Google account? I can see option in settings to add another one, but nothing about deleting current one.
Edit: got it.

Hi Folks,
This is my first time on the XDA Developers forum so go easy on me, i've had a look around but cannot seem to find any posts with this problem.
I have a nexus 4 and have set up my 3 email accounts on the stock email app. The checking frequency is set to 'never' on each account as i only check my email once every day or so and don't want any unnecessary data usage.
So my issue is that if i load the app into combined view, so all my email accounts show on the same screen, there is no option to sync all 3 accounts at the same time, i have to click into each account individually for the sync process to start, then go back into combined view to see all 3 accounts email on the one screen. I'm sure that can't be right as that seems to defeat the object of having the combined view if i have to click into each account to start the sync, i might as well view the accounts individually. I'm sure that on my old HTC One X on the HTC Mail app as soon as i launched the app the sync process started for all the accounts on the phone.
I have tried turning auto sync on in the 'data usage' menu but it doesn't make any difference.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
The thread subject is kind of misleading which makes it look like a bug but anyway.
This is normal and not really a bug at all what so ever, you can use a 3rd party app from the Play Store to do the job.

thanks for the speedy response. apologies if you think the title is misleading, not my intention. i can't see why the feature i'm looking for wasn't included there on the app, but hey ho. thanks again, i'll go search the play store
