[Q] A500 (unrooted but updated) cannot start... - Acer Iconia A500

Hi,
I have a A500 about 2 years, no root and used official update. (I remember it 4.0. ?? something)
It cannot start yesterday night... just charging... fall auto-sleep... (= shut down), it happened many times before, but every times it can start by power button... except this time.
It halted on the "andriod" logo after "ACER" logo, I can see the lighting effect around "android"... but after half an hour, still in this "android" logo;
So I shut it down and restart again... few time... but it halted on the same place.
Then I try to found some information to fix it by myself...
First I try to use
Acer_A500_7.014.14_041.203.01_COM_GEN1
from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113878
Press power + volume down button... few times... it enter a green ANDROID with "RED !" and a status bar appear... I found it seem to spent a lot of time, so I plug the power and goto sleep... in this morning (I have about 6 hours sleep), the status bar keep in the same level...
I think it didn't work? right?
Then ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1276227
I follow method 2 in above link...
But it didn't work also...

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The color bar remain the same level overnight... over 2 hours... nothing change...
And even "RED !" appear, no status bar appear...
Now, when I start the tablet, it just appear "Boot verified failed..."
Any suggestion for me now? What can I do to save this tablet?

[Q] Bricked?

I was reverting my Phone back to stock so the wife can use it. The battery fell out while applying the update.zip. Now the phone wont power up or show led while charging. Am I screwed? This is a mytouch 3g 1.2 tmobile
76 views and no advice.
Well... when you say "won't power up" what do mean...
Does it boot up but nerver continues... or it does nothing..nada..zero?
If it's the last, then yes... YOU ARE BRICKED..
If the first, then a small possibility for resurrection :0)

Sounds like a brick, but keep screwing with it. Have you left the battery out for a while and then tried again? If you can SAPPIMG it again and let it finish you should be fine.
Yes i hold the power button down and no response whatsoever from the phone.
What is about this picture?

Is it also bricked? After several updates, it went to this status no matter pressing power, or power + menu, or power + back and so on.
Any one can give a hand?
Thats the same picture i had when the battery fell out of my phone.
I got more help from a different website. Thanks alot.

[Q] Battery Icon Shows question mark? Device says 0% battery even though it's on?

Ever since I rooted the KF I've been having strange problems. I used my KF this morning battery was 98%, everything seemed fine. Tonight I went to turn it on and it wouldn't. The power button would light up green for a second then just turn off. I tried holding the power button in for 30 seconds, nothing.
So I plugged it in the outlet, maybe it needed charged? Once I plugged it in, it started up but the Kindle Fire splash screen did seem to bootloop once or twice, like a flicker. I don't know if that's normal or not?
Anyway, once it turned on it has a ? in the middle of the batter icon. I also went into Settings>Device and it showed my device as having 0% battery.
Any clue?
EDIT: Strange, I uninstalled WidgetLocker just to see if maybe the lockscreen was effecting something. Out of nowhere, my battery went from 0% to 30%. Still want to know what happened some I'm not stuck again.

Sounds like the problem was related to WidgetLocker.
I don't use the tool on my KF though I do use it on my Dinc. Last few times I've looked into it on the KF, there were enough issues reported in the posts to make me stay away for now.

[GUIDE] Fix 'dead' battery bug on Moto G (ANY model)

Hello everyone, today I had an odd experience with my Moto G XT1039 where it was stuck on the battery screen (red battery saying 0% with white space around it).
After leaving this on charge for a whole hour nothing was happening so I was thinking about taking it back to Argos and trying for a replacement, then however I read something from : Moto Blogspot and the instructions from one of the users commenting worked perfectly.
For your convenience I will post the instructions below (Thank you to Pierre M from Google Plus):
1) Plug it into the charger
2) Hold the VOLUME DOWN KEY
3) While still holding the VOLUME DOWN key, press and hold the POWER key
4) Hold both keys down for 120(+) seconds. This being two minutes or more may seem like a long time, you might want to time yourself to make sure you hold it longer than two minutes. (I know two minutes seems like a loooong time but it works..)
5) After holding the keys down for more than two minutes, release them.
6) The Fastboot (bootloader) screen will display, and the Normal Reboot option will be highlighted (image of what this should look like is below)

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
7) Press the VOL UP key and the device will start a normal reboot.
Done! It seems to be a pattern emerging for this to fix peoples phone's.
Strange.
At least on my xt1032, the dead battery bug / drop from 100% to 0% bug stopped happening with the 4.4.4 update. Good to know that if it ever happens again it can be brought back to life by entering the fastboot menu. Nice!

Black screen of death since 5.1.1

Ok guys it started since I migrate to 5.1.1 ROM, flashed clean DN 0.3 note 5 port, and the phone would just go black at least once per day, nothing seems to work even a hard restart (volume up + power button for 20 sec) only a battery pull would restart the phone. So I figured it must be the ROM ( noone in DN 0.3 thread seems to have this problem) . So I flashed the original 5.1 firmware for my country, rooted it and used it for a day to find out it does the same! I'm really not sure what seems to be the culprit. I couldn't find a conclusive pattern on the bsod however last time I noticed it happened right before I was disconnected from public wifi, perhaps it is the modem? Maybe it's root and bootloader conflict with 5.1 firmwares? (the phone boots up, so it cannot be bootloader? Or I don't understand something about what bootloader does?) Any one has encountered the same problem? Any clues on how to fix it?
Just happened again while wifi connection was weak and I think it happens right before it got disconnected or switched to other connection mode or different wifi
Read around the forums that people are having bsod in combination with Tasker and secure settings to switch off secure keyguard, I never use this option, just use Tasker to automate sync processes, Uninstalled it nevertheless. Will see if it helps
Happened again... Noticed that the battery percentage drops quote significantly after the battery pool, here is the screenshot

I think my phone got a virus? Very weird bootloop/stuck bootloader

My ZE553KL (I use it as a home device control, small tablet) keep loading/reloading for 3 hours now. I CANNOT SHUT IT DOWN. everytime I have this vibrate boot, ITS SUPER ANNOYING.
It show the bootloader then reboot, then show the bootloader and so on. Buttons are unresponsive.
Only think I can do is press up and get to screen number 2 for exactly 6 second (my computer then recognize it).
I cannot remove battery (hello soldered battery). or shut it down, I guess at some point It will drain battery but.
I have no idea what is happening, please help?

Ouch
Play with it. Proper button sequence and timing is everything. It's easy to not hit the right button at the exact moment. Allowing the battery to auto shutdown may break the cycle. Don't attempt to solder the battery without a good iron and skillset. You need to be fast about it.
If the OS is pre Pie it's suspectable to rootkits that require a reflash to erraticate.
A hardware failure is also possible.
A bad coded 3rd party apk can also boot loop you. That's worse than a normal boot loop though.
It's definitely corrupted... hopefully someone here who has seen this before and/or knows more about that line of phones advanced troubleshooting can help you.
