Help with jellyblastv3

I installed the jellyblast v3 rom which includes kuro kernel into my gts5360... after i manually flashed the 2nd OTA update using clockwormod the status bar was gne.. also couldnt see caller screen... so i instaleed my stock rom which was backed up using CWM... bt the kernel is still kuro kernel... nw i wnt to install jellyblast v3 rom again... bt should i install it directly using CWM on kuro kernel???
coz the description in the thread says it requires stock kernel... also if can someone tell me hw to flash merruk kernel after flashing jellyblast...???

try flashing jb3 widout flashing stock kernal...if it does'nt works try it with stock kernel....and abit merruks....go to the thread...u will find many post on how to flash merruks kernel

I think as u r already having kuros kernel than u dont have 2 go back 2 stock kernel....just flash jb v3.0.2
Or u can go to safe way jus by flashing stock kernel and than jb v3....

yes u can get back stock kernel by flashing via odin
or u can jst flash stock "boot.img" via kernel flasher to get back ur stock kernel

10% battery or lower problem

Is your screen totally black or a little bit luminous? Because it is normal that the screen darkens when the battery is low for save it.

Can i install JELLYBLAST V3 on my samsung galaxy y GT-S5360L ?

i have flash ota3, but at cpu spy i cannot see the state. i use merruk kernel 2.5 #206
one more my RAM is reduce to 249MB.
how it happen, anyone can help me?

Not really... My jelly blast is MOST awesome with repencis kernel. It was good with kuro, awesome with repencis. Repencis works without lag even in max 312ghz, min 156 ghz. Really good.

can i change kernel from merruk to repencis? how bout backup can it restore in repencis kernel?

Don't use merruk kernel 2.5, if you really want merruk kernel, use merruk 2.0 elite version. Even after bacem tweaks the over clocking doesn't really work. It just wouldn't stay up at 1.24 ghz. But the best kernel for Jb v3 is still repencis

The installation is a little bit hard though. Remember to back up through cwm before flashing.

2. install the 1.2 Ghz OC kernel by Merruk
i cannot guarantee every HD game will be smooth but its better with the faster CPU

i never tried RP 3.5 + MK Pre-2.0

well......
try using chainfire 3d......
i dont know about other games bt i was able to play death space and galaxy on fire 2 and many other without any lags or bugs or in may galaxy y..
they were smooth .......

Can someone please provide a tutorial of how to overclock to 1.2Ghz?

No ! 1.2 Ghz didnt works on galaxy y i tested it .... if you overclock you galaxy y to 1.2 Ghz then phone didnt startup
And you need to reinstal android

how can i flash merruk kernel in step by step procedure without bricking my phone? please help

to see is to believe

look there are 3 main files
merruk kernel 2 pre edition is what you have to flash first
then u must backup your rom
then flash ext convertor that is the 2.5 kernel
then advance restore the backup but only system data and cache
then flash elite modules
then reboot

I successfully upgrade my phone to merruk kernel 2.0 using odin but i had problem upgrading to 2.5
I followed all the steps many times but every time i get to soft-brick my phone..
Please help!

I don't think any custom kernel would ever clock above 1ghz

to clear ur doubts we can overclock our cpu till 1.24 ghz without any problem....
and merruks kernel 2.5 works with every rom available.....
its just u hv to follow the guide....
if u will miss any step than it will not boot....

Yes merruk works in every rom i have tried merruk in almost all rom available....moreover hell lock is also trying to make an oc kernel...hope that will come with easy and simple process to flash.....but for now only merruk can overclock our device and i felt it is some what stable too.....

Does the phone heat up pretty fast when we overclock to 1.2 gHz??

So i was wondering if i can upgrade my SGY to ics 4.0?
Or can it damage my phone? or is it not safe?

no.
CM9 is the closest ICS-based rom for SGY,
it is unstable and unusable for daily use
use search function,
and look for current developments in the development section

CM9 by WhiteXp is still Unstable! Generally people theme their ROM to look like the Firmware they Like.....

Note - these are not ics 4.0 rom
u can use nemesis rom , hyperion 8 rom which is jellybean styled rom..bt nemesis rom fully jellybean themed rom but its lag lil becoz of its launcher u can remove its launcher...it will be smooth..:laugh:

No you can't, at least that's what I heard till now...
But you can try Custom ROMs and flash an ICS Theme to it. Like Repencis v3.5 ROM, and this is for the ICS Theme

Well, you can't upgrade the mobile to android 4.0. CM9 is very unstable, and that really the only rom which has the features of ics. Roms such as jellyblast don't work.

You can also try ICS_fusion by hell_lock.
It gives ICS like experience.
Generally THD games require JB+,but some might work on GB.
Just try using cf3D plugins.
Just edit your build.prop if u want to play ICS games.

definetly impossible,
armv7 is a CPU architecture which means it has to be configured to the diodes in the chip itself,
even with instruction coding it will not work
you can't make armv6 to armv7 via software code,
same thing as pasting 2 pentium 4 cores does not make it a dual core

Definitely its impossible.
The type of GPU you use is not software its hardware.

cm9 is ICS (4.0+) so yes as long as the game will work on armv6 devices with ldpi display
bearing in mind that cm9 and cm11 for this phone still have bugs regarding egl they may not work as intended

It may depend on which game you are playing... high end games lag(obviously ) other low end games will work but some lags(depends upon free ram) and poor graphics.... .

I flashed my device with the stock GB 2.3.6 using the odin, after installing the ROM, whenever I insert my SIM card the device gets hanged up and does not respond . If I remove the SIM card the device is working properly.
What could be the problem ?

no you can install just the apps only not the games because the game they need high ram and cpy

change your stock rom baseband (flash a different stock rom firmware)
