Kernel help..... - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if there is a stock cm10.1 kernel floating around with ParanoidAndroid colors compiled?

I believe Matr1x has that integrated into the kernel and you can flash that kernel with Cyanogenmod no problem.

OC kernel for CyanogenMod 10.1?

Is there one? Just switched from stock & feeling a little sluggish. I was using the kkboot4.1 on stock & it helped a lot. Anyone know if there is one for this ROM that works.

AOKP OC kernel works well on cm10.1.
I used the 4.1 cmenard kernel. (Aokp)

Flashing a different kernel

Im running pa 3.60 and Franco kernel and I want to try a new kernel but I was wondering if I can just flash the new kernel over the Franco kernel? Or do I have to wipe something?

No need to wipe anything. Just flash whatever you want. I think faux needs a reset kernel before using his kernel. Other than that all other kernels are fine. Just flash and go.

MIUI Kernel

I've been running MIUI 3.8.16 for about a week now. And I was wondering if we could flash KTunez kernel. I remember we couldn't on 3.7.5 but did they change the dependency on the MIUI kernel or is it still needed?

THX !
For android 4.2.2 (cm 10.1.x) you're going to need faux version 16 or below. Also you can use the app faux enhancement project to download the latest compatible kernel.

Can't flash Kernel

I'm running CM 10.2 Nightly 9/27/2013
I'm trying to flash Franco Kernel Plus R184 but everytime I flash it, it goes through but ends up reverting back to the CM kernel. I tried flashing stock Franco and it still does the same.
I'm still looking for help on this matter
Gotta download the alternate kernel he provides.

I thought JWR doesn't work with CyanogenMod.
