Good night,
I've installed on my L7 the V10i version, rooted, with v6 Supercharger, Seeder and one or two more tweaks.
Should I update to V10K? Will I lose everything (the tweaks, root, etc)? Or should I wait for Jelly Bean?
Will I notice any difference (performance, etc)?
Thanks.

Hey guys! I got my Defy+ a few days ago, been playing with it, trying to tweak it you know...
But I've decided I want to root it and install Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on the device.
I haven't rooted it YET or tried to do anything close to it, so I'll look for tutorials around here.
Currently I've seen a few ROM but I need your help to get the closest to my wish.
So here's what I'm looking for in a ROM:
1. To be stable
2. To be user-friendly
3. To be easy to install
4. To be a light performer meaning, giving me a performance boost like smooth menu scrolling etc etc.
5. To be pretty
I know I just described most of the ROM out here but I'd like them listed and organized so I can choose easily.
Thanks a bunch!
there is, more or less only one JB rom: cm10 by Quarx and it is smooth but not as snappy as cm7. install is easy if you did it before!! try it.
Unless you want to be a beta tester, forget about Jelly Bean or even ICS. Here's why:
1. Quarx CM10 isn't stable at all at this point—there are still lots of unresolved issues
2. poor battery life compared to CM7 or even stock 2.3
3. every new build seems to break something, introduce lag somewhere or reduce battery life
4. updates are frequent and manual, so you'll have to go through the install procedure often if you want to keep up (worse yet, a clean SBF install is preferred or you could run into problems), which can get tiring after a while.
Try WIUI stable (GB) first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161110
It's not Jelly Bean, but it meets all 5 of your requirements
Hey i bought lg l7 - p700 T-MOBILE and when i bought it it had Android 4.0.3, so i updated it with official LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL immediately to 4.1.2 but my phone is so slow. I dont have too mutch apps installed but it always shows 80-85% on the 360 mobile security application what can i do too speed it up ? It it laggy on the lock screen when i draw the pattern too. When using it for some time i think that the lagg is dissapearing. I rooted many phones and installed roms, but i dont want to root this one because there is risk always to brick it, as i said its new so i wont get another one soon. Did someone else had the same experience ? Are there any apps to boost my phone speed ?
Thanks.
Hi! Same experience with P-700, this phone have only 512mb of ram, so with this rom it's not enough. I've tried some scripts found on forum but the best for me is custom rom. If you want only stock rom, reflash ics with kdz. For scripts you can go here: http://forum.android.com.pl/f759/scrypty-lg-l7-optymalizacja-i-przya-pieszenie-290882/

Thanks for this, i can easy downgrade to ICS with lg mobile support tool but i dont know if the problem will be solved...
I dont want to take the risk for flashing custom rom because of the bootloader and other things because its locked by T-mobile who knows what scripts they putted in this time like on my lg p500 ...
Personally, i've flash unlocked ics rom (Bootloader, root.) three days after buy before installing scripts and custom roms. I've never test scripts on stock roms.
Actually, if you don't want to root your device, it will stay slow and laggy. With 512Mb of RAM and the heavy LG firmware, your LG will always be slow, no matters how much scripts or optimizations you use. The only way to get rid of it is to root it. Each ROM on this forum runs faster than V20, and if you respect the basic rules of security, there's no reason to brick your device. And do not downgrade to 4.0.3, it's horrible.

These kind of scripts are not really useful... I used them on my Nex7 and my LG L7 and I've seen nothing excepted a slower device...

Until yesterday i used Prime Kitkat by szymel with pure performance x and it worked fine, some little lad.
Yesterday I installed CM 11 By Cr3pt and satisfaed for now.Looks little smother without any tweaks.
The best way is to try both, and see whish is better for you cause they are very similar.

Hello everyone,
From few weeks Im using Cloudy G2 2.2 ROM + Dorimanx kernel with performance mode - and unfortunately this ROM is very slow, few days ago I bought another LG G2 D802 for my friend, it comes with android 5.0.2 stock. Of course this system is completely clean but difference with speed to cloudy g2 2.2 (andorid 4.4.2) is very big. This 5.0.2 rom is much faster, Im asking this question because i have read a lot opinion that older cloudy rom and older stock based roms are more stable and faster than lolipop. But now I see that is not true.
I need stock based rom because of camera (for aosp is very poor).
Which stock based ROM is fastest for LG G2? Thanks in advance for your opinions
cloudy 3.3 + xceed kernel imo
I will try this ROM, any other suggestions ?
From my experience the fastest stock based ROM on the G2 D802 is CloudyStock 2.7. Kitkat is much faster and memmory management is night and day comparing Kitkat and Lollipop. Stock Kitkat based ROMS are optimized to run much better on G2 than Lollipop ROMs. Its interesting that Cloudy 2.2 is running slow for you, maybe try to reflash and use the default kernel that comes with it without changing any kernel settings. This is the ROM I am using ATM and it is one of the fastest. Also try MIUI 7 based on stock Kitkat, Cloudyflex, Cloudystock as I mentioned and other stock Kitkat based roms if you want speedy and snappy performance. Cloudy 3.3 is also good if you want Lollipop but it will bog down after a while and only data wipe can restore its snappyness although frequent reboots can improove memmory management. Dont use Dorimanx kernel it always slows my phone down no matter what settings I use, IDK why. Also if you are using G2 or G3 tweaksbox try disabling it, some settings can slow down your phone. The same goes for Xtana and similar apps thet change systemui and framework apk. Unicon app for changing icons also slows down any OS. Try to run as stock as possible for the snappiest performance.
Good idea to disable g2/g3 tweaks - I will try it, As I remember, on original kernel system was similiar slow. Maybe I just need full format all data/syste/ etc and install clean rom from beginning. Also I will try to record speed of my phone just to comparsion, maybe it is normal but just for me means slow? I dont think so.

I dont think so either. Also when installing choose odexed in aroma, this also affects ROM speed, app openning speed and boot time. Deodexed is not necessery as you can easily theme anything with G3 Tweaksbox even if your rom is odexed. Try shuffling trough D802 development section and you will find a couple of great Kitkat based roms like Coqueror rom or stock 20f prerooted kitkat rom.

Sorry but it's not clear, you mean that is better to install odexed or deoexed rom on beginning?

Its better to install odexed ROM.
Best thing you can do really is flashing a non stock rom...the difference is insane. The major drawback is the camera...the quality is considerably lower. Battery life is more or less the same! Stock lollipop from LG is so bad...even with xceed kernel
You are absolutely right! I know this, camera is just one reason which keeps me with stock rom. I used cyan 11 before and diffrence was huge, I mean camera is so bad but speed sooo good. I think lg g2 is not complete phone for me because of this. Camera is something very important for most of the ppl, and this one for aosp rom is not even worth to rating...
So after dealing with a failed installation of PACMAN for my LG G2 and having to flash stock everything on get it working again, I'm still looking around for a good recommendation of any custom ROM for this thing. I'm on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right now.
Modified stock is best. Custom roms are good to mess around with but I would never use one for me daily driver. You've already had first hand experience with how problematic they could be. If I were you I would update to lollipop(or not), root, autorec, and debloat everything you don't need. Then if you need some specific feature, mod, or app, add it as needed - the play store, this forum, and the xposed library have everything you could ever want. You have tons of options with rooted stock and it will be far more stable and have better performance than any custom rom.
I've been using Slimsaber as a daily driver, and it's fast, fine, and with great battery.

I was on Stock 30f debloated for a long time, and before that I was on CM11 Snapshot M9.
For the last few months I'm on Cloudy 3.3, I think of all the custom ROMs it is the most stable. I haven't faced any issues till now.
I will say go for Cloudy, but before you do you should take a full Nandroid backup of your current setup and save it on your PC. It's easier to go back if anything happens.
