[Q] Notification LED when screen's ON ? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How to have the LED notification working when screen is on ?
I tried "Samsung S3 Root" with Light Flow, it don't work.
Thanks

I don't think this option is available in the stock ROM. I know AOKP and I think CM have it.

Question: whats the point of the LED with the Screen on? Wouldn't it be easier to just look at the notification bar?

[Q] Nottach Xposed

Loving the rom and the themeing i can create with it, here comes the question, under the brightness bar on the notification panel, the checkmark for the auto brightness does not seem themeable, i have everything else blue, while it stays green. Am i missing something completely obvious or has the author just not gotten to that part yet?
once again, amazing rom!

I don't think it is currently. You can request Nottach to add it if it's possible to his module/ROM.

[Q] Notification Led control app

Hi,
I'm using this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2146879
It's epic how this phone works, i had a desire z so I'm really impressed by this!
The problem is that i don't wanna use the system settings to control the LED light.
Light Flow works fine but whenever i touch the status bar, the LED turns off and stays off for a while, before coming back on again.
Light Manager has the same issue.
Any fix for this? Am i missing something big here?

^this bar means im on phone
Light man a very has been known to cause tons of different issues. Mainly in PA roms. Even to a point of breaking the install manager so you can install apps. I would remove it.

so is there any workaround/fix for the notification LED control? i must use an app because the settings method isn't customizable.

Not that I am aware of. I am not sure of what options are in PA as I have no need for the option in the rom but I know AOKP has a bunch of LED options.

Don't enable it in the first place?
OMG i have been enabled it and not realized... Thanks sorry for useless thread.
Sometimes I just have to sit back and wonder how some people managed to root their gadget and install a custom Rom in the first place.
smh
I made the thread because in some apps statusbar was white without enabling TSB and i though it was enabled by default.

You can d/l LightFlo, I used it briefly with other devices.
If you have CM installed, you can enable the built-in LED control under Settinmgs>Display & lights>Notification LED (or something like that)

I'm stock 7.1.1 rooted, light flow is a wackelock king it will drain battery super quick
Lightflo always has been a batter drain. I've kept far away from it for that reason.
sent from my pixelated Nexus 6p

I agree any other methods?
I use Light Manager. Works great and lots of options. Never noticed it draining battery. I mean never really noticed it listed near the top of battery stats.
