Its anodized aluminum. So whoever told you it wasn't needs to get there facts straight. I'll be ordering the black one as well.

i think its all white, that pic is probably just showing the black one also
As far as we know, it is just a white back. Look closely and you can see the black volume button on the white one.

Hmmm... aftermarket white back = white Evo?
Seems like they are copying apple's first white phone only with the back being white... seems like there will be aftermarket back covers to convert your black Evo to a milano Evo!
Sigh I knocked the white/black design and now I own one. I think I like it though...

Yes it does, It's brushed aluminium, although I would have preferred the black back looks a bit rubbish (and ipad like) wit hthe silver.
In a few months you'll be able to buy whatever parts you want on ebay and such, complete with installation kit. Happens for everything.

Can I use my warranty to get a brand new one?

You have to get black. And yes you can exchange it. I did that with my older one that had dust under as well.

Nah, all they want is the phone itself. You keep the battery, battery door, SD card and SIM card.
All they'll give you is the phone, none of the above that I mentioned.
I saw a good price on the Nexus 7 but it said "Brown". I thought it was supposed to be black. Any clarification?

I saw this on the carphone warehouse website listed as "brown".
As far as I'm aware, there is no such thing as a brown Nexus 7...in fact I've found a quote attributed to a Google employee who says that is the case. The Nexus 7 is one colour only (there was a white one available at some sort of event, but not for the public) and any website that says otherwise is wrong.
I think the issue possibly comes from the Nexus 7 being "actually" a very dark brown...but so dark brown that it looks black as far as I can tell. I've also heard that the label on the box for the Nexus 7 says they are brown, but I'd have to check in my attic to be able to confirm that.
The rare brown nexus 7. I would get it and stand out from everyone else.

Mine has a very dark brown back. You only realize it is brown if you hold something truly black next to it. The color is like a 99% cocoa dark chocolate bar.

Same happened to me a few months back, was like should I get 8 or 16GB, by the time I'd decided on the 16GB they were out of stock.
Mine is also a very very dark shade of brown. It's very hard to tell for most people if it's black or brown.
On the box it says brown.

READ YOUR BOX.. Find something in your house you know is DEEP DARK BLACK.. lay it in the light and lay the nexus face down on it. YOU Will see the nexus 7 back is a deep brown .. its not black..
the nexus 7 has a deep chocolate brown back on it... it even says so on the box .. you know the box is never wrong .. hehe

Every unit that we have sold are dark brown. There is no black. If there is, it might be rare to different countries or something like that. But as I said all of the ones I have seen are brown
Hey there, long time lurker here but now I really need your help. I managed to drop my Nexus 4 this morning from about 3 foot onto lino flooring in my bathroom. It landed smack bang on it's back and the back glass is shattered.
Are there any cheap solutions to repairing this? I saw some glass on the bay for about £20, I don't know how easy it will be to repair though. Also thought about getting a skin from dbrands and just sticking it over it, hoping it holds.

their are 2 options you will find the one with NFC with be more expensive if you dont use NFC get the one without it and i got one for a friend off of ebay just search" nexus 4 back housing".
As far as buying a new back, I've heard a lot of people going on eBay, but where you get it is up to you.
As far as how to replace it once you obtain a replacement back, check out this thread. It has pictures and a nice step-by-step guide on how to do it. Scroll down a few posts and the OP also tells you where he got his replacement from.

LG charged me $69.00 to replace the back glass.
Personally I'd save myself some money and time and go with a dbrand skin. The carbon one actually looks very nice on the N4 IMO (look at Taylor Martin's posts on www.pocketnow.com if you want to see it).

It's whether it will stay on though, with the glass being shattered and all I thought it might peel off with the shattered glass.

The people they referred me to (Carphone Warehouse) quoted me £79.99.
