Sudden Battery drop with Gingerbread but works fine on JB. - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a Defy+ red lens. The problem is I am getting sudden battery drops with Gingerbread and it doesn't even last for 20 hours but it works fine with Jellybean 4.1.2 and last more than 40 hours.
The thing ig Jellybean is really very slow on my phone and gingerbread is very fast. The only thing keeping me from keeping Gingerbread is this battery drop.
I searched and tried several battery fix and calibration but nothin worked.
Its not battery issue as the battery works better than expected with Jellybean. Can someone suggest any solution so can I use Gingerbread with a little battery backup.
P.S Both Gingerbread and Jellybean are Quarx's build

Hi, My phone has the whole blinking 3 red led semi brick thing, I read the thread and got it fully working and finally charging, perfectly ran for one whole day while playing Bowman with some of my friends in class and also Pokemon, now I rooted it again and switched my BB to the newest bb and kernel then I went to the FXP kernel and then flashed cm7 ... but after flashing it told me my battery was 10 percent When before flashing i had about 60... Then It wouldn't charge anymore and would die out quick and Now I am at the three red LED flashing again.. I'm going to flash 2.1 soon, But I really need answers ASAP ; How can I flash CM without the battery F****** up on my like the last three times ... bet it's one of those strange android problems that are fixed with a reboot
Flash the stock google image and see if it persists. I bet it's just a gapps issue (hence the weird Calendar Storage usage).
Google Now since it's release has been known to be a battery hog. I keep it turned off if I choose to not be connected to a charger all day.
i have same problem
i buy 5 nexus on ebay , and 3 phones present same problem after update ICS 4.0.4 official
that problem persists on Jelly Beam 4.1.1 and 4.1.2
i try averwrite all phone and not solved the problem
i change the battery , and donĀ“t work

As to battery - you were playing Ingress... duh........
Tethering is a known issue, unfortunately most of the people with experience diagnosing tethering issues don't have I9300s.

Anyone who is having battery drain on 4.3

Just an FYI -
I was having battery draining problems with my stock MK2 4.3 rooted. I had seen several forums with users complaining about the same thing. Long story short, I had messed up my phone trying to mod it and had to Odin a stock ROM. I Odin'd stock MJA, OTA updated to MK2 and re-rooted. The unexpected benefit to this was I how have outstanding battery life. I have absolutely no idea why this helped, but I figured I would share it so that it might help others.
I did pretty much the same thing you did and am noticing the same results.. Great battery life.. I had 4 hours of screen on time when it hit 5% last night ..Pics are of today's battery life so far...

Note 4 N910C very bad battery life

I'm running on 5.1.1 COJ5 latest for my country:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/60110/N910CXXU2COJ5_N910COXX2COJ2_VIM/
So if you are on a stock firmware and you have good battery life i would love it if you told me what your version is so I can try it out. Or maybe if you have other suggestions.

Mybattery is similar to your issue I'm going to root my device this week and use a custom Rom but I'm told by many people to replace battery and don't use diffrent kind of chargers. I hope someone know the best way to keep this phone running cool and processing values decrease when focusing on 1app like reading in appygeek so battery extends longer. I'm pretty sure this can stay a full day if just browsing, reading and phone calling, chatting and some small video clips in whatsapp. Because right now I'm charging phone 2wice a day fullcharge. Zzzzz
