Hey Guys,
I bricked my phone at with 1% battery, so i could not charge the battery and neither could i reflash the phone due to the "Low Battery Error".
So i managed to open up a Micro USB cable and flash the phone using terminals of the wire to simulate a battery.
But this has caused a new error to pop up i.e the Battery Unknown Error, hence the battery does not charge up and i am unable to use the phone.
The battery can be charged using the USB to computer but it takes about 2.5 hrs to charge to a bootable level then it boots up and discharges and shuts down again. But even when it boots up it the battery still stats Battery Unknown.
Has anyone experience such an issue with a low battery brick and then a battery unknown error.
Thank you
HSR
You probably fried your battery. Buy or try out a new one!

The battery wasn't inserted while doing the procedure, so i don't see any reason for it be damaged. :s

No, you don't fried your battery but you can do a damage to the motherboard circuitry which is worst. Hopping that you didn't damage the motherboard try to wipe battery stat, wipe data/cache and flash a stock rom.

I recently had an issue with my battery on my Photon.
I got 70% max charge dropping to 5% in 3-4 hours with simple use.
In plug i often got 0%, when i put off the plug, 5% ->phone OFF
So I decided to go to the HTC service.
In the beggining they told me that the ROM had the problem, it was giving wrong information to battery display.
After they installed the official software, the problem was there again.
They told me that it was a Motherboard problem and it had to be changed for fixxing.
My Question:
Did the ROM caused this problem?
Can this happend because of a wall electricity plug of mine?
If the fault is on the wall plug, what can i do to protect my device?

I don't think it was the ROM.
Do you have the right charger?
Did you try a new battery?

I got the original including charger.
I asked them to see if it is battery fault but it was only the motherboard.
Hi guys !
I have a problem, i have flashed my phone with cyanogen but during the flash i haven't enough battery and the phone go off, i charge it with a usb cable with the + and - wire plug on the battery, reflash it with rsd lite in stock rom, but now i have the icon of the battery with a "?" on it, what can i do ? I try flash cyanogen but i have too the icon with a "!" this time. I'm not on guarranty.
Sorry for my english.
Thank's.
If i can't do anything, i should sell it for piece, or can i repair it in a shop ?
Try wiping Battery Stats
Have you tried wiping battery stats in CWM? Do you have another battery to test? I think you may have damaged only your battery as the signs that you mentioned are for faulty battery.
u should check with another battery. Get a replacement somewhere (and maybe a wall charger too)
I have try with another battery but that's the same problem ...
Download the "Battery Calibration" by NeMA on the market (i think that it already comes in CM), can the app show your battery level?
You always charge your battery with this "wall charger"? Does the phone charge the battery or it does nothing when plugged to the charger or PC's USB?
Yes battery calibration see the battery level.
No it didn't charge when the phone is pluged on my pc with usb...
I read from a forum somewhere that "!" appears when a non original motorola battery is inserted. Maybe some components in your battery got fried when you wired the battery directly from the usb hence the phone detected the original battery as non original. Then you may have used a non original replacement battery to test on the phone which is the reason why you still got the "!" mark. Try to borrow an original battery from someone else and see if the mark disappears.
i bought it from hours , and i forgot to charge the battery and make it full
got some errors while flashing and hacking it after that i tried to restart by
removing the batt and put it again but Unfortunately it never opened again it's
dead now even with charger or the usb cable ...
any help please?
Sorry bit if your battery died while you were flashing, it is very possible that you hard bricked your device. Please post back with what percent it was on when it died. Maybe XDA Senior Member Samsamuel can give you a better clue if you post this info.
Anyway if it is hard bricked you will have to have it JTAGed or ha e the main board replaced.
i think it was 40% i guess .. i don't care much about the battery , I WANNA USE THE PHONE
Flashing usually only uses 2-3%, I've flashed with less than 10% charge loads of times.
More importantly would be what rom did you flash?
Tmous or regular hd2?
Have you checked the battery pins very carefully?
no it's regular HD2 , i was partitioning CLK ..
if it's not that important , what else could cause this problem ?
about the pins no i didn't
Please any help ?

Buy an external battery charger, the ones you charge off mains. Charge your battery off that and then see if the device turns on?
... or, if you have a spare USB lead, any type, cut end off, bare red and black, hold red to + and black to - on battery, plug into wall charger and hold onto the terminals for about a mninute which should give it enough power to turn on, and if it does turn on get the real cable plugged in quick.
Hi, just got an note 3 and im in love with it.
Well, the only problem seens to be the crazy battery (the phone is out of warranty).
When i charge it while the phone is off, it charges to 100% and when i turn it on, it shows 97%. well i tough charge bump or battery callibration (the phone is rooted) would solve the problem. But it didnt
The worse is not about the 97%, but when i charge to 100% and do a battery callibration, the battery lasts for 3 days with moderate use. but when the phone discharge, and i fully charge it while its off, it gets crazy, and it drains all the phone battery within hours.
I would like to know if someone passed for something similar, and if i buy a new battery, it would fix the issue for sure. thanks!
here is a crazy image of my battery info:

when i turn it on, it shows 97%. = Normal
Battery calibration is on the battery via usage .
Deleting battery stats bin is a fools errand .
Try swapping charger and cable .
New battery may fix the issue or flashing clean new firmware or even a new motherboard .

well another charger i tried. i was using a 5v 870mah charger, and i changed for an original charger, 5v 2a . it keept the same. what seens to have helped me, was cleaning cache. i did this, and in two hours with some use it only consumed 4% battery. lets see if it will still solving
Hi guys,
I own a p8 lite (ALE-L21) variant. Its battery gone dead and I replaced a new battery. Since then when I plugged in the phone (with oem charger 1A) it doesn't show charging. But somehow after I left it plugged in for a while, it has been charged. Then I plugged it out and started to work. The battery drops down like 10 and 5 percent at a time (like 85>70>65>60>50>40>30>20>10). Battery lasts for like a day by normal use.
when I power off the phone and plugged in. It autoboots.
If I restart the phone while plugged in the battery percentage increases. But it never increases than 85%
Is this a result of power ic (hi6361gfc) failure
Can you help me to figure what's the problem.
Thanks...
Similar situation here. Any ideas? Did you fixed it? Cheers

Nope
My degraded OEM battery is the same model but the little board and flex are slightly different, I have been refunded on the new original battery with the no charging behavior the ray appears but disappears right away.
The weird thing is that the first battery charges.
I was trying to figure what's wrong before buying another Huawei battery. I'll just risk it as a last attempt
Did you manage fixing it in anyway? New charging port or battery?
