[Q] youtube built in app on JB 4.2.2? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi xda community,
I just updated my nexus 7 on 4.2.2 but now the youtube app is updated automatically and i can't uninstall it ?
I prefer the old 4.2.16 version wich is perfect for tablet ui. This is weird, in my settings youtube version is 4.2.16 but when i launch it: it's not the 4.2.16 version ! There is any ways to resolve this ?
Thank you.

You would need root to uninstall a system app... :/

thats the app build number, not android version. try clearing the data for the play store.

[Q] How to find out which app cause random reboot?

Hi,
Since the last 2 months (maybe the last android update), my nexus 4 reboot ramdomly. Do you guys know a way to find out which app causing my those reboot (I've already install catlog)? Do you guys witness the same behaviour?
It would be nice to fix the problem without reseting the phone.
I'm running stock rooted android JWR66Y. here a list of the app using root access:
- ad free 0.8.64
- greenify 1.92
- permission manager 2.0
I use apx as launcher.
Thx
Right after reboot grab your last_kmsg log

Hi,
what to do with last_kmsg?
It shows lots of numbers, some info etc.
and last line saying: Last boot reason: kernel_panic
How to understand this log?
thanks

Don't use magenta text. Don't use a large font. Don't discuss illegal stuff here. Download stock Rom from Samfirmware, flash with Odin, done.

If you don't trust with samfirmware then no more other should you trust too!
Just download gapps and flash them.
No need to flash the complete rom again btw the app which offers u to install modded google play also allows you to restore original google play.

1) device status can be made official if you are below 4.4.2 using wanam xposed.
2) gapps work on all roms. They are google apps combined into a flashable zip.

1) you can't downgrade to 4.3 from 4.4.2. If you currently are using 4.3 then it is ok.
2) install xposed framework then download wanam xposed. Open wanam exposed and go to security where you will find the option.
I am attaching a screenshot of it

[Q] Problem with official KitKat theme

Hello guys!
I got the KitKat OTA update last night but i can't seem to find KitKat theme/launcher which should be there once you install KitKat.
I am not into rooting my device, so i would appreciate if someone uploads .apk file or downoad link for official KitKat theme (launcher, icon pack, wallpapers, etc)
Any suggestion in solving this problem? Thanks in advance
The Google Now launcher is available in the Play Store. There are quite a few apps with Kitkat wallpapers.
