Hi guys!
I kept searching the internet for my issue but I couldn't find anything about it.
I want to be able to make videocalls from my motorola defy mini using the service provided by my carrier-if I may say "old fashion way"- (I DON'T want to use videocalls Apps and internet access or VoIP).
Is there any chance by rooting or flashing or installing a custom ROM on motorola defy mini to gain access to videocalls function using service provided by my carrier?
Please help!

This is a known problem of the orange-branded phones.
To solve it you have to flash a different ROM.

There is no difference between flashing ROM an upgrading OS because the upgrade of the OS is also done by flashing it.
Hi-
I purchased an xv6700 for use with Verizon . Unknown to me, the original owner had replaced the OS (WinMo 5.0) with a version of WinMo 6.5 from ppckitchen.com. I'm trying to work with the seller, but I also want to explore the available options for if I were to keep the phone. I would consider staying with the device/current OS, but there are a couple of problems that would need to be addressed.
1) The new OS does not have any productivity suite. Are there any open source/free alternatives to mobile Office? I rather not have to purchase a new version of mobile Office. It should be included with the original OS.
2) Should the WIFI work without service? I rather not activate the phone until I'm sure I will be stuck with it, but I want to know if it will work. Currently it sees, but can't connect to any networks.
Additionally, I have been unable to find the original software. Does anyone have the OEM provided ROM? How hard is flashing it? HTC will not provide any service/support. Your input/assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I found another cooked ROM with an Office suite. I'll be loading that one. Thanks for looking!

I would like to use my X10 with Movistar Mexico, if fact everything (included the internet) it working, the only problem is the MMS configuration.
Anyone in Mexico with a solution for this problem?, or anyone with sugesttions?
I know that I have to create an APN for the internet and for the MMS, what I don`t know is if this 2 profiles has to be together or separeted.
Also I found that the "automatic configuration" is off, I mean, I can`t access it, maybe because Telcel blocked it.
Any ideas?
Regards
Jaime
try rooting ur phone, or re flash a generic firmware.
details on this forum, just do some research

You might have to dial 01191 + the number, that is the normal way to access India from the US. But that seems strange, because the access numbers should be via your local phone provider. I'm assuming you changed your SIM chip...
Be careful of custom ROMS - your T-mobile HD2 is different from the international version and will not accept a world wide ROM. The ROM has to be made for T-Mobile US.
Yes please make sure if you use a custom Rom that its made for your US model some can be used for both

Thanks stevedebi
My problem is limited to some nos. Most of the nos I can dial. Thats what puzzles me.
Like Blackberry, where you select the country prefix in settings, can I select the country in HD2? Or is there some registry tweak to solve this? I am using an India SIM card. There is no issue with SIM as I am able to dial all nos using same SIM in a different phone.
Is there a ROM update for T-Mobile HD2? Pl help with links...
Thanks
Good evening, how are you?
I believe this for a problem I have, they brought me to release a cell, which I released with Galaxy toolbox (A Galaxy Young 5360L)
Now tell me 'emergency calls only' me imei (right) appears, I walk the wi fi, and others ..
But not walk me with any company, what could be causing this? If I would have imei appears not to have problems?
I hope they can give us a hand, Thanks in advance.
Regards, Federico.
If you want me to help you then you will need to write in full understandable English
I understand this is not everyone's 1st language but I'm sorry I simply don't understand what you are saying other than you have no phone network
Assuming that the sim works & the phone has been correctly unlocked & is able to use the sim the only thing you can do is flash stock rom via odin - see my firmware thread links in signature
