16GB Galaxy Note ready for pick up

Seems that Best Buy has the 16GB Galaxy Note in-stock at the stores, while the 32GB is not yet. Might change as the day goes by, but I would think its worth the extra $50 for the extra 16GB of built in storage.

Yeah. Originally there was a possibility I would be getting the 10.1 tonight, but I'm really leaning toward the 32GB version. Might be a few days.

I guess Best Buy will not be carrying the 32 in stores. HHGREGG by me has a $50 off coupon for purchases of $499 and more so I think i will just get the 16GB and at least it will only be $449. I can live.

For those that want the 32GB, I guess you can get the 16GB now and exchange it for a 32GB when they become available in the store. You would have to pay the difference and hope that it is before the 30 days.

HHGregg specifically says that the $50 off $499 cannot be used on Unilateral Price Policy products. I can't imagine Galaxy Note 10.1 not being registered as one because it definitely is.

I missed that line. Good catch! Well that sucks!

Just picked mine up from Best Buy. They definitely didn't have the 32gb in stock.

Just order off there website and see if it is available for pickup. Or order off amazon and avoid sales tax and wait a little or use the savings from sales tax to get overnight shipping. Plus if you have an amazon store credit card no interest for 12 months on all orders over 499

Yes excellent tablet. The more I use it, the clearer it is the best stylus tablet I have used.

I ended up going to Fry's and getting the 32gb there. I'm loving it so far!

This was exactly my experience. Except I went to Amazon and saved a lot of money that way. It was the taxes and extended warranty that was way cheaper.

Starting to get impression there's no way to predict lte/wifi and size from purely the serial number, ah well.
But it definitely seems like you can predict location and date of manufacture though.

Sorry for the late reply. But yes. Mine was manufactured in august! Yay me =)

Mine says 2013.09 N7LTE 32G, not much problem with the grounding IF it is plugged with main charger, started to act weird if it's not....annoying a tad but doesn't do enough justice for me to go the extra mile for exchanging hassle since there are no play store in region.

As there are still many of us looking to invest in a shield. We should start listing the best deals we can find for the tablet and official accessories for black Friday and cyber Monday.

Searching a week or two ago, I found nothing. BUT that was a week or two ago. I wonder if the app stores will have any deals on games?

Last year the Shield Portable had a black friday sale everywhere. $299 reduced to $249 with the case thrown in. Also, it wasn't announced until thanksgiving day.

Hi, as an unhappy owner if the Nexus 5X, I am looking to buy a 6P. As an EU resident however, I won't put up with the ridiculous price over here. Luckily for me, I am going to NY next week, and if I manage to find one for the right price, I will definitely get one.
I want to ask some local people for some tips and places where to look for one. It also doesn't have to be new..even refurbished or second hand in great condition would do.

A store known to most in the NY and NJ area called b & H photo had them even cheaper.... 32 gb for 425 and 64 gb for 475, no tax and included a $50 gift card to use at the b&h store now. Unfortunately, those sales ended a couple of days ago on March 27th. I was lucky enough to get the 64 gb for 475

got one on order myself through the B&H website unfortunately when I placed mine they had just ran out of stock and the availability date keeps getting pushed back. Went from 3/29 to 4/8 now. Disappointed as I've had good luck with them in the past

B&H is awesome. They recently had a sale where all 6P's were 50 cheaper plus a 50$ gift card... So everyone bought from them, that's why they are now ridiculously backordered.

How do you know if the Kindle Fires on Amazon for $30 are refurbished? Are all of them sold in the Warehouse section refurbs? I just thought they were Used and the initial customer sold them back to Amazon.

Technically they are not advertised as true refurbs. But Amazon can't (won't) sell a device that is non-functional or contains user data. Reimaging is the easiest solution. As for physical condition there is no indication units coming out of Warehouse show heavy wear. Most comments are very positive suggesting 'like new' appearance. The other concern is battery but given time on market most should be no more than 6-7 months only with (hopefully) limited charge/discharge cycles.

Time to keep my eye out for refurb 16gb. ?

I bought three of the $30 Amazon Warehouse Deals Fire 7 8gb refurbs in late March. NONE of them came with lock screen ads! They all came with firmware 5.1.1. At the time, I didn't intend to root them and let the roll over to 5.1.2. I have since rooted them and installed the Nexus rom. Great value for $30. They all look like new.

No reason to believe there will be any difference.

To find the 16gb Fire 7, go to the Amazon page that sells the Fire 7 (link below). Click on the "CUSTOMIZE AND ADD TO CART" button on the right. From there you can check a button to get the 16 gb version for $20 more. You can also choose the color of the back case (Black, Blue, Magenta, Tangerine).

Anyone know the version of Fire OS which is now shipped with the 16GB models? I have an original 8GB model and immediately swapped FireOS with CM12.1 and would love to do the same, but I am a little wary of the new models as I believe its much easier to 'brick' them when putting CM12.1 on them if they are shipped with the latest FireOS.

The adverse interactions between FlashFire and CM 12.1 have been resolved. Be sure to use the latest versions of each. The newest tabs will likely come with FireOS 5.1.2.1 or 5.1.3 which, as of this writing, must be rolled back to 5.1.2 to root.

Also available on Amazon UK for £59.99. I can't post links yet, but if you Google "B018Y225O4" you should find it.

Good to see they added a 16gb version. I would gladly use this with CM12.1 or any of the aosp roms on it. Nice cheap tablet option if you're looking for a bigger secondary screen.

Got my 16gb today. Order it last week.
The screen have a odd tan color to it with four white tiny dots. I turn it down to get rid of those white tiny dots. I guest the screen have a bad adjustment to the lit color.
But my 8gb tablet have a brighter screen. Even turn all the way down.
My friend told me this. It probably a cheaper made screen with a new color shell back case.
Want to move all the games over onto the 16gb.

Hi all, it seems the 16GB models are currently being shipped with firmware 5.1.1.
I purchased mine via Bestbuy.com in the Magenta color. I opted to keep firmware 5.1.1 as obtaining root seems to be a cleaner process than on 5.1.2 (I prefer to avoid KingRoot if at all possible).
Note that if you received a Kindle Fire 7" in 8GB or 16GB, your first step should be using the SuperTool from RootJunky. I tried other methods of obtaining root and installing the Google Play store, but in the end I had to adb sideload firmware 5.1.1 and start from the beginning again.
Learn from my mistakes-- if you have 5.1.1, just use SuperTool. Note that it is currently impossible for devices shipped with 5.1.1 or above to boot TWRP. It is still possible to install a custom rom, but I personally will choose not to.
