Anyone else have this?
I'm using stock charger
Just started noticing a couple days ago
There is wiggle when USB is connected
It doesn't charge, unless I have it just right
How annoying!! I really didn't want this to happen
Never had it before with One X or GS3
I'm afraid I'll have to over pay for a wireless charger but also :')

Try another wall charger
I had that issue on a gnex. Would only charge if positioned just right and would pop out if moved. I spoke with a Samsung rep that said inside the female end of the charging port something wore out and it would no longer hold the plug securely until I got the port replaced. I would see about an RMA if I were you because it becomes very annoying very quickly.

This is why a three pin charger rocks! Long Live the three pin system. Try using it on a power hub, horizontally.
I just called and filled for RMA.
Sucks they charge the account n hold.
How do I revert back to stock and lock?

Flash the factory images back to your phone and relock it. Fastboot is the "correct" way. Or use a toolkit.

Yeah just found the tool kit for it, are the newer 301k devices better?

Once I thought my N4 had a charging issue. Turns out pocket lint got stuck in there. pushed it out with a toothpick and all was good after.

My issue is a little different. The panel area between the left screw and micro usb port pops in and out if Press it. It feels like the power button popping in and out. Any solutions? BTW the phone is just three days old.

Bought a brand new Nexus 7 and it won't charge unless I twist it put pressure on it. Is this a common problem straight outta the box!!?? I already returned it once today because original one I bought had been open.

Same here. Except I'm not forcing it in plug it in it shows not charging but it is. Go Asus. U suck.

No problem here, just to make sure u use the provided USB cable and the provided power adapter
my usb cable is messed up. The small connector - the plastic piece that has the usb symbol on it is loose and it just comes off.. I dont really want to return the device just for that because mines is charging fine but still... it's kind of a nuisance.
Earlier tonight while browsing tumblr on my Nexus 7, the screen went black. I heard static from the speaker and the display had some very slight noise as well. After perhaps 15 seconds of this, the screen turned off and the speakers stopped their gentle hiss.
As yet, it has not turned on or shown a charging icon when plugged in. I have unplugged and reinserted the battery cable with no apparent change.
First, anyone have some tips for gaining fastboot access on a seemingly dead device? Secondly, I have seen some returning their nexi to Google. What advantage would I have dealing with them compared to Asus' warranty department?

Have you taken the battery out? Or do you mean "battery cable" as in the charging cable?
I read where people have held the power button [30+ seconds] and that brought their N7 back to life..
Try holding the power button in for 30 or more seconds while plugged into the OEM charger. I've seen this issue in the forums before and it worked. Good luck!

Thanks to both of you, it seems to have either fixed itself overnight or was resurrected by the divine spark of an OEM charger.

Glad to see you got it working!!!

My Note is charging when there is no cable plugged in, everytime I switch the screen off it comes back on and stays on. Does anyone know what is wrong?...last night I was charging my phone and took the battery out so it could have damaged my device, I also flashed eybee's JB rom the day before but I don't think its the rom.
Soubds like you have crap in your charging port. Try cleaning it with a pin or something small.
I had same issue and it turned out the micro usb port was really dirty.

Mine charges faster with the cord that comes with the phone then with a universal cord tbh. Maybe its is somehowe defective.
I had that happen to an older phone that I had, cord just got wore out or something. But I haven't had any problems with the one on my nexus 4, I am sure that you can pick up a very cheap one almost anywhere though, even gas stations have them I think

My cord was working well until the phone slid off my table and landed on the connector lol. (Yeah that glass back is slippery as heck.) Got a bumper and a wireless charger now so no more of those problems.

I live in the Midwest and a few weeks ago we had a very bad storm that forced us to go into the basement. Power goes out storm finally thecalms down. I go upstairs to get my nexus and there are two blue spots on the screen and a terrible screen bleed at the bottom. It was plugged in to a pogo cable I left it was fine and came back it was all messed up. I've dropped the slippery tablet before but never had anything like this happen. Is there a possible fix? What are my options, it drives me nuts seeing that on my nice screen.

Could be a short circuit which occurred when the power when off and on.

+1 with this. Definitely sounds like some sort of electrical event happened.
