Gingerbread and Cyrilic

Hi guys,
During the weekend I finally upgraded from 2.2.1 (Darky's) to 2.3.3 JVh downloaded from [Firmwares]Stock I9000 and I9000M Firmwares collection [Latest: DDJV9, XWJVK, XXJVQ]. Even though, the ROM has CSCs for Bulgarian carriers (VVT and MTL) I can't select Bulgarian locale or Bulgarian as input language for Samsung keyboard. I can actually select it as an input language, but each time I select it during typing, the label switches to English US/UK and language doesn't change.
Locale is not an issue and it can stay in English, but I really need Bulgarian for my keyboard.
Is there a ROM with this included or a way to install Bulgarian?
If possible, I would prefer to use the existing keyboard and not install third party one.

EDIT: If it matters, the phone is rooted using Chainfire's method and his CWM.

Damnit, I was hoping for some solution using the built in Samsung keyboard. The design and usability in this version are stellar.

You are probably missing the corresponding files in /system/T9DB . Τhe csc οn its own is not enough.
You can find them in a Bulgarian rom and copy them over.

From the name of this directory I suspect this is only for T9 dictionaries or am I wrong? In any case, the issue is, that I can't find a 2.3.x ROM with Bulgarian included. Can files from 2.2.1 be used?

- if you got any problems regarding language showing up on the list but youre unable to switch to it, check your Product Code (*#272*imei#*)
one that shows there must match one that you flashed with fw (for JVB those are XEE & NEE, for JVA it is LUX and so on... that is the CSC file from odin...)

I have this one:

After flashing I switched the CSC to VVT via *#272*imei#*
which if your packages should I flash with CWM? Or is it possible to only copy the files to /system and reboot?
Will the same thing work with 2.3.4? I.e., flash JVQ from the same thread above and then apply one of your packages to add KB language, even though there is no Bulgarian CSC for 2.3.4 ROMs.

Exactly, we are looking for this "something". We are two different persons sharing the same problem.(and probably all the Bulgarians using android)
I am using the same JVO with multi CSC like him. Even Bulgarian is in the list of available languages, when u mark it, it's not possible to switch to it. I've noticed this since 2.2.1

- i know that changing pc wipes data but can you do a factory reset after that ?
and tell if factory reset produces any error in cwm afterwards if so
you should flash some froyo as a base change pc on froyo to bulgarian and then flash 2.3.4 that will have your bulgarian pc afterwards and it will work probably then

Well, every time I flash a fw. I'm using *2767*3855# before the flash and after . So it means I am doing factory reset two times. Product code is not changed, it stays MTL.
In my opinion simply the necessary files are not included in this firmwares.

Which begs the question -- can we just copy the keyboard language from an older version, like Froyo?

Sorry to dig this up from a shallow grave, but there is a new GGB version -- 2.3.5JVS, which has Bulgarian in locales, but not in keyboard, so has anyone managed to import BG or any other Cyrillic language in default Samsung keyboard?
I also heard, that Bulgarian is available in SGS2 stock kbd, so I wonder if it will work on our devices. Does anyone have the files?

I was in similar situation, while looking for russian keyboard on english ROM.
Try to look on Gingerbread Keyboard 2.3+.
You can install as much languages as you want, and download several dictionaries.
Toggle between the input lang is by swap the space key.

Here's the official successor of my LiteRemix XXLD2. It is based on Nexus' XXLD2, Hero355s Turko CFW v6 and Hero355s Fully Lite CZLC2. Notes:
IM, Caster and Music Hub are completely uninstallable - remove them for max memory free. AllShare doesn't cost you memory (only the link was previously removed). Google Maps and Opera Mini combined use only ~1MB of app memory. The differences in memory between a dual-language CSC (f.e. german and english in LG2) and a multi language CSC are actually very little - just use the CSC file fitting for your language and country.
If you're already using LiteRemix XXLD2 v3, and you don't actually want to do a fresh install, don't flash this. Use the XXLG1 Core Patch instead to get all the features (but Android 4 compatibility) while keeping all your data.
If you should notice problems such as lag, low battery life or non-working push email, I highly recommend using the JVLC2 FW core from the all-in-one-package above instead. Patching is easy, safe and quick.
If you'd rather have a CFW based on chinese ZCLC2 and don't mind having only english language and no Java Apps in main menu, I suggest you use my Ultra LiteRemix ZCLC2 instead.
BTW: Again, I don't mind if you 'steal' from this one. In fact, I'd rather be flattered.

You'd need to full flash, but keep in mind that XXLG1 v3 is actually a rather minor update over XXLG1 v2. Only flash if you actually want one of the new features, otherwise you might as well wait for the next release. Especially if your phone is running smooth now.

Well, it's in the nature of modified chinese Bada FWs to be buggy. A lot of stuff has to be changed until these behave - almost - like a european FW. It's getting better with more work put in, though. I could even go further and say that it's in the nature of Bada 2.0 FWs to be buggy .
About your requests:
Other languages: Only english is possible for T9. Only one output languages (for Menu, Text) per CSC file, and translation has to be done manually (which I won't do). I used Nexus' translation for the german one.
Google Maps link: Although I like to have it in there, I got some complaints from people who don't. So I decided to leave it out of the Ultra LiteRemix. It's easy to do and needs only some minor changes in the CSC, though. If you'd agree to do the testing, I'd make one for you.

Well, it's in the nature of modified chinese Bada FWs to be buggy. A lot of stuff has to be changed until these behave - almost - like a european FW. It's getting better with more work put in, though. I could even go further and say that it's in the nature of Bada 2.0 FWs to be buggy .
About your requests:
Other languages: Only english is possible for T9. Only one output languages (for Menu, Text) per CSC file, and translation has to be done manually (which I won't do). I used Nexus' translation for the german one.
Google Maps link: Although I like to have it in there, I got some complaints from people who don't. So I decided to leave it out of the Ultra LiteRemix. It's easy to do and needs only some minor changes in the CSC, though. If you'd agree to do the testing, I'd make one for you.

By your location I assumed you're using the "European" CSC - I hope this is right.
Although untested by me this should work without any flaws. You'll have to do a full flash again using the CSC file provided insterad of the one from the original archive.

Just remove the NV_SI_ANY_KEY_LCD_ON line in nv_original.ini (it's in the CSC file).

The Lockscreen is a failure!!
the O piece you can drag isnt working like android, i mean that you can drag it around the circle, but it has the half of the screen.
the unread messages/calls doesnt work.

TurkoCFW for Samsung wave has been developed by me (Hero355) and Frager so hats off to them for creating such a beautiful firmware based on Samsung Galaxy S5 for Samsung wave devices.
Turko CFW v10.2, an integrated version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 tried to update the interface.
Look, sounds, text fonts, and some animations, changed the extent permitted by Bada.

hi i flashed this rom on wave 1 it is very cool , thanks for rom
i want badaroid rom along with this rom dual boot
earlier i was able to use both bada and badandriod ( c rom KK 4.4.4 NAND )on wave 1
but after flashing 10.2 this rom ,
when i install c rom again ,then i am loosing bada totally ,only c rom badaroid is booting
can any one tip me

You must have made a confusion; you CAN'T use Nand and Bada at the same time.
Bada and loop (like badadroid) : okay
Bada and SD : okay
Bada and Nand : physically impossible, since nand rom format nand memory, and bada is on nand memory

no,,
really speaking, I was having both roms,
I was booting c rom by just power key, and bada by call+power key
before flashing c rom, I was on stock bada firmware 2.0
after that I changed fota by your multiboot fota, that too was working good, as it says
but after flashing turko 10.2 s5 rom, not possible to have both, bada and nand badaroid
and I appreciate your valuable inputs, regarding multiboot fota,
I will try with stock firmware again, and check, how it was having. both

@vishvish3 you don't understand, If you use NAND rom no way to dual boot Bada with it , you had buggy rom before seems to Bada worked, there is no way to use NAND and Bada together.

Is the 10.2 rc1 fix mentioned by Fragger included in the links posted in page 1?
If not, then I guess the process for installing from Bada to 10.2 (S8600) is:
- Install firmware from links in P1
- Install fix from links in P1
- Install fix from links by fragger
Am I correct?
And a final (silly) question - on what OS is this firmware based on?
