If you can reach the AT&T icon, you should be able to flash the stock firmware. Also for the love of all that is good, read carefully before messing with your phone.

It will sit at the AT&T logo for a few minutes..
If it still does not boot then try booting into recovery and factory reset then run the linked odin instructions again..

Seconded - I would also suggest that once you get this fixed, be extremely careful before modifying anything else on your phone. Read up a bit, perhaps wait until we have an unlocked bootloader near the end of this month, that should give you some time to familiarize yourself with the risks and procedures for flashing roms and recovering from a bad one.

All the more reason to take your time. You said you just got your phone yesterday, if you're at all concerned with the risk of turning your $600 phone into a paperweight, you should study first, ask questions before you try something risky, and only follow a guide once you feel 100% comfortable doing so. It is very possible to brick these phones to the point that they're not easily fixed.

Is home button. Volume + power + home at the same time, until recovery appears.

While I probably have more patience than most who have been here, but no one here is going to hold your hand. I've reiterated 2 -3 times now how important it is to read carefully, which obviously you are not doing. I provided you with a complete guide in the link I sent you. You have the resources, you're just not looking.
Quoted directly from the guide I gave you:
5. Hold Volume Down + Home + Power until your device enters Download(Odin) Mode, then press volume up.

I can't really make it any clearer than that.

I hope this poor guy can get his phone working again, but dang that was a boneheaded move.
I might just be stupid but when I bootup my Galaxy S4 on At&t it shows an unlocked padlock as if it were unlocked. Underneath it shows the word "Custom"
Does this mean anything????? Please respond...
I'm guessing you rooted your phone as I have the same thing. I believe it's just a splash screen png when we rooted. I also installed the blue crysis theme so I replaced my systemui.apk.

It means you should probably "search" before posting. This information exists in several of the "Root" threads that already exist. Just search the forums and it'll tell you all about it...well, as much is as known about it at this point. Good luck.

did you root with a certain root method? cause where you read how to answers this question...numerous times..why start another thread? anyway the answer is it was stated when you root that would be there..means nothing..as soon as you flash your first rom it is bye bye.
Oh OK sorry in didn't see that

just to clarify, you selected oem unlock in developers option, flashed a custom recovery and then tried to root which lead you to a error? Did you flash a custom kernel ?

If I'm correct you can test your device whether it's hard- or soft-bricked by recharging it.
When the device doesn't recharges any more, the device is hard-bricked.
Unfortunately when hard-bricked the Nexus is useless, like a single brick.
When it's possible to recharge and to load into bootloader you can try to flash it again as Trafalgar Square said.
Good luck!
Will there be any hope in giving to a service centre ?

Yes and no
Yes: they will replace the MB.
No: It cost you a lot of money, it's not worth it.
You can try to buy for 20$ a new MB on Ebay. I replaced a screen and my micro-USB a while ago and bought the items on Ebay for a nice price. GL!
I unlocked the bootloader and now there is a message telling me whenever I boot that my device has been unlocked and cannot be trusted. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Okay, I just want to keep root, but I can't do that if I lock the bootloader. So please can you give me a solution, so I do not have to deal with an ugly message whenever I boot!
