OK so I'm having problems with the touchscreen not responding at all no matter what ROM or radio I install. I figured it was a hardware problem and knew I'd have to change my digitizer and touchscreen.
So I go to ask around for a fix to this problem at various local mobile repair shops (I live in India, Mumbai) and find them quoting prices from 1600INR (30USD) to 4500INR (82USD). Now I'm wondering why there is such a difference in the prices. Note that all these estimates are for a complete replacement of the digitizer and the touchscreen. So I want to ask you'll how much it cost to replace your touchscreens if you ever did have a problem with it. I know you can get these parts from ebay but I'm not capable of doing this on my own so had to ask.

Hello.
I destroyed my touchscreen. The LC-Display under is ok. It shows all without errors.
But i can't do something with the pen. The Vario doesn't recognize something.
I fall down and der is a fat break in all ways.
Where can i get cheap a new touchscreen, without the lcd?
Sry for my bad english.
i had the SAME issue. Actually, the OUTSIDE screen would cost u very little money, but I found it impossible 2 find 1.eventually I did, but some ribbon issue didn't let me use the lcd roperly.so I changed the LCD as well, (but kept mine, UNBROKEN one hoping to resell it). Total cost 70 pounds, not cheap but... I had found this anyway that might be in your best interest:

I think they charge 170 for the LCD and the GLASSTOP, and at least online they wouldn't sell it in spare parts.maybe try to give them a call...
ciao
Checked it on Ebay....I saw someone sell the LCD screen, but I am not sure if it is for Wizard or for other HC models

My 2 weeks old Kaiser slipped from my hands and the LCD broke !! I am looking for a good repair shop in Belgium or any links from which I can procure a new LCD screen real fast! Any pointers would be helpful. Also, does anyone know if the LCD screen is covered under the HTC warranty ??
whipout ur htc carepack, call the number nearest you. They probably would fix it for you for a small charge. Keep in mind, repair shops aren't htc specialists.... So my suggestion is that you contact htc and see what they can do for you.
i feel for you :{
my girlfriend just got her LCD cracked from a roller coaster (stupid safety bars). probably going to take a few weeks for us to get a replacement screen since they don't even sell the kaiser here.
she keeps subconsciously trying to touch the screen on her interm dumb-phone... and sighs.
do it yourself! buy a replacement screen on ebay, and look for replacement instructions on this forum
how easy does the screen crack if you drop it? just for arguments sake shouldn't the phones be able to sustain a reasonable drop? After all you are constantly using it in your hands so it is likely you would drop it at least once.
Put this under you favorites

My Tilt has only 2 buttons on the right, the power and camera buttons. http://cnn.cn/shop/images/IMG_5052.JPG shows there are 3 buttons. What's the 3rd button?
I found that on expansys website while i was checking for a good screen protector... Have a look here :

Well, I've taken up a hobby of repairing all makes/models of phone that I can get parts for, so I'd be exceptionally grateful if you could provide some info as to WHERE and HOW you get them so cheaply....
TIA!
there are a few shopping mall in china that sell only spare part for pc, mobile phones and all micro electronics part.
and because most of the oem and third party parts are all made in china, its always cheaper to buy from there, I travel to china a lot, and in search for some parts, I did come across some tytn II parts.
but then you need to live in china or hong kong just like me, so you can go back and forward.
I can also let you know that only micro electronics parts and mobile spare parts are cheaper in china, PC stuff are cheaper in hong kong, as well as back up service.
you need to go to wha qheung ( my own english translation) street along the china railway system, most of them do bulk buy and send overseas, but its best to be there in person, as you cannot trust them sometime.
next time i'll get the address when I go over again, but i'll don't think you will travel there.

TyTn Parts for sale----
They just happen to be assembled..
Sent my functioning HTC branded TyTn to CellularDR in Glendale, CA to have it's "D" pad repaired. Phone worked fine, just not with the "D" pad.
They have returned it, saying the parts to repair are not available. In the meantime I have replaced it with a Tilt.
I cannot speak as to whether it is still functional as a phone. Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours. Good Battery, screen, etc.
hey...are you selling seperate parts or the entire phone? if so, how much do you want for the motherboard?
he's selling the whole phone.......i asked, cause i want the front camera, and maybe the housing. if someone wants the digitizer/lcd, we could probably buy it and then break it down on our own
how much cost the hermes does it only sell the motherboard ??
bought the phone.

Sorry but not really sure of what you are asking here. are you wanting to buy a LCD screen and digitizer already connected? If this is what you are wanting then yes you can buy them in a combo where they are already together. The only deference between the European combo and the T-Mobile combo is the European combo has to be soldered to the main board and the T-Mobile combo does not. If you do a search in this forum you might find several threads that are very informative on this, I have one that come to mind but it is probably way back in the pages of this forum.
Anyone knows how much is replacing mobo for LG Optimus7 (e900)? I think about replacing it on my own (some mobile repair experience) but if you can indicate price for fixing too, glad to know it. I live Ireland but can send it abroad if you can recommend any reliable service.
I don't have any experience with replacing motherboards, but I don't think there is some kind of service selling them. Replacing it would be a lot of work too. Maybe buying a new one would be an option. Or buy a cheap, damaged Optimus 7 and just use it's mobo?
