JellyX designed for CM10 Quarx's, didn't you get any error from that?
Anyway if you get JellyX to work on CM9, then you're using Epsilon's CM9 2ndboot right? That rom should have 4 steps CPU already.
You just need to check in Bootmenu> CPU settings since any cpu apps won't work on 2ndboot kernel!
---------- Post added at 06:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:45 PM ----------
And other thing, you should only ask all question in one tread, no need to start a new tread every single questions like this...
Yes.I have CM9 Epsilon.how to check the CPU steps in bootmenu?

Boot into Bootmenu then get into CPU settings, you'll see a long list of CPU states.
[Scaling] is the "CPU Governor" we talked about before, Clk1 - Clk4 are CPU steps you're looking for.
It should be;
Clk1 - 300
Clk2 - 600
Clk3 - 800
Clk4 - 1000
Those steps also co-respond with Vsel1 - Vsel4 to control how much voltage it takes each steps.
Look for a tread about Overclocking/Undervolting Defy in this Forum for more info, mate.
---------- Post added at 12:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:16 AM ----------
As a foot note, do not change them if you don't really know what you're doing...
But I have only *Clk1 *Clk2 *Clk3 in bootmenu...Maybe the rom isn't the from what I looking for..give me the link please with CM9 who have 4step instead of 3.

4.1.2 CM10 quarx's
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1768702
or 2.3.6 MS2Ginger (without Greenbread patch)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1140839
Those two have 4 steps CPU.
If you plan to go from CM9/10 to older roms don't forget to read about "Format system partition into EXT3" beforehand.
Thank you so much!! I put the cm10 to download..I search "format system partition into ext3. But I didn't find anything. Can you show me where is that?

What the **** dude?I flash cm10 and I have 3steps cpu,same problem.whyyy?
Don't really know anymore, but one last thing I can think off...What camera did you have again?
Soc or Bayer? Not just the color of the lens.
If you have Soc...that's maybe the reason.
About EXT3, do more simple search man, just "format ext3" like that.
---------- Post added at 08:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:07 AM ----------
My defy have Bayer lens, I'll get cpu 4 steps when using GB kernel or Custom kernel.
But Soc can't use GB kernel, it need Froyo kernel for camera to work.
So I'm not sure about Soc using Custom kernel but look at you I'm guessing now.
You may have Soc lens, and you need to live with 3 steps cpu so just don't think of it as problem anymore.
Man,thanks for all information.Another person gave me CM9 defy+.It's super.I don't need to flash another kernel,that already had one.+ that I have 4 steps.Yuhuu.:d so,thanks a lot for the lost time with me.Good luck!

and in general what do you think that is the best rom at the moment?
Ive uses GDX v13 before but now im using GingerCruzt, its much more faster and without lag.
Sent from my Shakira using XDA App
GDX and gingercruzt are both good ROMs, but they have accelerometer lags.. I guess it's a problem of CM7.. It's the reason why I'm using FroyoBread
I dont have problems with the accelerometer

Guys I dont want to be sceptic, but this CPU used in SGY is realy two times overclocked by samsung at all... first it was from 600 to 800 and now its to 832MHz... I thing thats on his maximum usage for everyday use, and if somebody make OC kernel for SGY u will be able to overclock it to max 900MHz and after that it will be very unstable for using and can be fryed as chicken... Read some threads about OC of SGA and there are many answers..
What do u all think about this? Is here some dev who can develope a custom kernel for use in stock rom or cm lately?
If the developers have this device they will make a custom kernel..

I thing there will be option for oc but it will be very small number... do u know who is developing this kernel? There is used in sgy armv6 turbo cpu, the same like in sga ;-)

Can someone please give the froyo kernel for soc defy?
Why do you need it? If you have bl6 or lower then you can flash a froyo sbf which will include the kernel.

You dont need to flash a new kernel if you switch your Rom.
All Defy Kernels are the same the only difference is Froyo or Gingerbread, but Downgrading from GB to Froyo isnt that easy

For BL6 there is a froyo kernel based sbf from chinese operator (might burn ur camera flash LED)
For BL5, there are many

It is if you have BL5 or BL4. Just flash the corresponding SBF.
I have BL5 Defy, and after 2ndinit, I flashed CM10 straight away without any need to install the kernel (I previously had Froyo).
If you moved to CM9 from froyo (even u installed bunch of custom roms in between without any kernel), you dont have to flash the kernel exclusively.
Looking to try out some new kernels. Currently on cm10.2 on stock kernel. I've tried matr1x and franco. I'm looking for something with long battery

I flashed the mplus kernel last night and so far it's looking good. I am using PSX ROM
Currently I am using Franco's kernel r181. I have gradually tried some other kernels but I always end up going back to franco's.
At the moment this build has given me 1 day and 6 hours (including 2 hours screen on time) and I still got 50 % battery left - in my opinion it's pretty awesome
I'm using Purified kernel with Carbon Rom and after trying every kernel I'm staying with Purified.
Wasn't impressed by Franco kernel or Matrix for that matter.
I would suggest either AK kernel or Purified if you want battery and performance
franco r181, seems to be the best one for what I need.

hey,
i am currently running the hellsdoctor kernel with stock android 4.4.4 and want to change to another kernel.
i've read something about people having issues after flashing a new kernel after the hellsdoctor and that they needed to delete some files or something like this, but couldn't find an exact description what to do.
Could someone tell me what i need to delete or edit in order to change to another kernel without bricking my phone
