Won't boot after unlocking - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After unlocking the bootloader and flashing CWM, I clicked to patch it to disable the revert to stock recovery. It then rebooted with the Google logo with an unlocked lock logo, then the nexus X logo. When I hold down the power button down for several seconds to shut the phone off, when the screen goes black, it immediately reboots back up and goes through the same process again. What the hell happened and what do I gotta do to boot back into recovery?
Edit: figured out as soon as I take my finger off the power button, I had to immediately hold power and volume down to go into fastboot before it restarted on it's own then I cleared both caches.

Try factory reset also.

Started up fine after I cleared both caches. Nice that it didn't wipe my memory.

Stuck in Boot Loop after Stock Restore

Stuck in a boot loop after attempting to restore my T-Mobile 801.
It boots up to the T-Mobile splash screen does its little ding a ling thing then 10 seconds later restarts the loop.
I used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Any other ideas?
Looks like I got it, I did a factory reset on top of it and seems to be working again.
Can you tell me exactly what you did? I seem to be having a similar problem with the Verizon G2 and can't get anything working.

After I ran the factory flashing tool, the phone would boot loop (I think most likely because the settings and profile from the last rom wasn't reset by the tool.)
So what I did was use the factory recovery option in the phone by doing the following.
1. Power down the phone (Hold power for 15 Seconds)
2. Press and Hold Vol Down and Power
3. Quickly after seeing the LG logo release the power (while holding Vol Down still) then pressing and holding the power again. You should get a white screen asking if you want to reset your phone press Power to Confirm twice.
A little android pops up and does some work then reboots your phone. The phone should boot after that.

[Q] Major issues on verizon G2

I was running Gummy's 4.4 ROM and wanted to try a stock ROM. Downloaded Malladus and its GAPPS. I booted into recovery wiped and tried to flashs. The ROM would not flash, it sat on the install screen for about 20 minutes. I decided to hold down the power button and try and get back into recovery, wipe again and restore my backup. Now I can't get back into recovery no amount of holding the volume down and power button will get me there. It boots to the LG logo and thats it. I'm pretty much dead in the water unless anybody has some ideas.
The G2 is finicky about pushing the power+volume down buttons just right to get into recovery. What I've found that works is to hold power until the phone shuts down. Then, power it on by holding power+volume down. When the LG logo appears, release the two buttons and then immediately hold them back down again.
OK I'm back in business. After dozens and dozens of button holds, I finally got it to boot to the LG factory reset screen. I chose yes to a factory reset and it immediately booted into TWRP. I restored my backup which was thankfully still there and all is right with the world. Strangest thing I've seen in all my flashing days on 4 different phones.

what works for me to get into recovery is holding down the vol and power while it boots, the second you see the lg screen release the vol down and power, then hit ONLY the power button.. for some reason I get better results that way..

bootloop after todays official OTA update 5.0.2 (xt1068 from flipkart, india)

:crying:
guys, my phone is non rooted, locked bootloader. (xt1068 from flipkart, india)
i updated to android 5.0.2 from system ota updates, the official update which came today.
It was fine in the beginning. i did a factory reset, and after typing my google password , the phone went
into a bootloop and got stuck in the blue ripple motorola animation.
i tried turning it off by pressing the power button for 10 seconds. but it goes back to the same state.
someone help me.
Try going to recovery mode and reset factory once again. To go into recovery switch off bootlooping phone by holding power key for few seconds, once the mobile turns off completely, hold the Volume+ and power button simultaneously and release after few seconds, you will go to recovery mode, factory reset from their and I think this will solve your issue.
it'll stop automatically.

same happened to me but i had rooted my phone.
it went into bootloop and phone restarted quite a few times.
then after some auto reboots it stopped rebooting and msg displayed that it was unable to update to lollipop.
but the bootloop had stopped.
Same forma me, waiting the ROM stock lollipop and flash it with rsd lite... The procedure work with lock bootloader, it's only way if you wont unlock the bootloader

After odin restore to stock stuck in boot loop fix

Hey all I have a super simple fix if you get stuck after a full restore back to stock. If you get stuck in the boot loop where all you see is the Samsung logo its usually do to the data partition being corrupt. To fix this do the following
hold the power button till it turns off.
Hold the power and the volume up button til you see the samsung ..... 10.1 message on the screen.
At this point you can take your finger off the power button but still hold the volume up till you get into recovery.
Once you get into recovery, wipe data then cache and do a factory reset.
Once its done your boot loop should be resolved.

[HELP] Phone won't open the bootloader on Moto G4 Plus

I was flashing the Lineage OS 14.1.2 using the latest TWRP custom recovery. I wiped the necessary partitions excluding the internal storage and i unknowingly hit reboot while the OS was not installed. The phone restarted and got stuck on the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted." screen. I tried to open the bootloader again by holding power down+volume down and it restarted and again got stuck at "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted." screen, any help?

Hold the power button down until the screen turns off, and at the INSTANT the screen turns off, begin holding the power button. The phone should boot into fastboot mode.
Not working

Good to know that it did work. Yeah, I meant to hold volume down.
Also, for future reference, when you force shut down the Moto G4, the first shutdown starts an autoreboot. So, you don't even need to continue holding the power button- you can release the power button after the screen turns off and just hold down the Volume Down button.
