In the slim chance that someone might have one or are going to look at one.
I've preordeded an urban brown version, but it would be nice to know what it actually looked like before choosing that over the white version.
All the pictures I've found of this cellphone are the crappy renders that HTC spat out to the retail stores, none of the actuall phone itself. Videos and images of the white phone is everywere though.

Thank you, but that's just a 3d render of the phone which would look nothing like the phone would if I held it in my hand.
I did look for this both on google and youtube before posting here, and I can't find any real imagery of the brown telephone at all.

I change my order to the white version so that I know what I am getting. I also heard that only the white phone would have the teflon coating.
Is that true?

edit: OK, nevermind. Just every conflicting stories. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3yZjYbs6Mo) has a brown or black version with the coating.
HTC itself said 'for now' only the white version has the coating while they are working on more colors that will have the coating (after initial launch). (press statement)
I guess we will just have to wait and see.
The white one is the _unlocked_ phone. That's why all the pictures and reviews are about the white one. The brown one is the default one 'in combination with a provider'. The pure black one will probably be reserved for T-Mobile (or dark-blue tints somewhere?) etc... I know that T-Mobile will have exclusive black, Orange will have graphite, brown is 'regular' locked and white is unlocked.
So I'm kinda surprised that you can order an unlocked brown version. Or if you are ordering it locked from a provider: I'm kinda surprised you can switch it to white .

Hi,
I got it from HTC for testing purpose. Work at the largest mobile phone distributor in Norway.
A great phone with a unique UI, great 5MP autofocus camera and Marked with lots of free applications that gives you the possibilities to download programs of your needs. I really love it. In Norway we are still waiting for the Marked with possibilities to buy applications. Will hopefully be released later this year by Google

in that light in that picture maybe but in person its a really nice pink... not pepto pink and not too magenta... i was surprised how nice the pink was.. better be for the price of one..lol ill see if i can capture it in better light...

Nobody at AT&T knows about it. I spoke with a rep at my local store, they know nothing about a red one. I doubt there is one, I wish there were one.

I can confirm there will indeed be a red one released on AT&T. They did not state specifically when, but they did say "this summer". If you'd like to read the press release, here's a link to a page with it on there.

Also the Motorola Moto X pro in China will have a black back. So you can get a Black Nexus 6 back that does NOT say NEXUS on it.
I thought that would be unbelievable that it was black and that info never leaked.

i the original leaked press images it did look black, even the metal band did, but it is believed that it was just the way the images looked.
I would like to see a black nexus 6, but I think the closest I'll get is if I get a black back from ebay.
This just goes to show you that all the reps are doing when they tell you info is reading off of what is in their system. If the system has incorrect information, the reps merely repeat it. There is never any point in calling a rep if the website is showing incorrect info as they will just repeat that incorrect info to you.
The black would look interesting next to the blue frame. I think the frame of the white model would make more sense if the back was black.

It's unlocked, this is a non-issue.
In spite of all the reports of the Green Emerald version not coming before june, I got a surprising mail yesterday, that my carrier ('CallMe', in Denmark) had sent it to me.
And sure enough, the Green 64gb version arrived today! See the attached photos.
I actually had already bought the White Pearl, which I have had a few days, but I'll return that and keep the Green Emerald. It's gorgeous. A rather dark, subtle green, but the light reflects in it, which makes it shift between a darker to brighter green, but not too flashy. It really is classy and cool at the same time. I love it
I wrote to my carrier, and they said that it was a surprise for them too, that they had received some green versions all of a sudden from Samsung. I hope that this is also good news for the rest of you, who are waiting for the green one - because maybe they are getting to the market much faster than expected. I don't know. I am just very happy to have it in my hands!
It looks so good, by far most beautiful color.
Gold is the best one according to me but it's a personal choice.

That's a Sexy Beast, I've got a case of the green eyed monster
By the way, I would say that it mostly is a very dark green. The brighter green is seen when a light source hits it from a certain angle - and the brigther the light source the more you get that shift in color as you move it around, and the more you get that 'metalic' look. But when it is still, on a table or in your hand, you mostly see it as a very dark green.
I don't have the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge on the back here in the UK either
