All NativeSD ROMs go into the same one ext4 partition.

Dual boot

Is it possible to have both android and wm7 on ur NAND,(probably only for 1024leos) with both having apps to SD? Like what if yu load wm7 on to NAND first, let it boot and format the memory card, then flash a bare froyo onto the rest of the NAND(maybe even use a super ram build) that would be freekin awesome! !! Just curious....

Well technically it would be possible yeah, but it would require new version of magldr that can partition nand in a way to store both and to call each separate build from the partitions.
Can you do it now, No.
You can however dual boot WP7 from nand and Android from SD. There are guides in the SD forum.
Thst sounds just as good..ima have to Check that out...

[Q] Auto Boot Android

Hi
Newbie here... I've searched for this Q & A but ' haven't found anyone with this exact problem...
I've just bought an used but barely used HTC HD2 with WM6.5 from a friend of mine.
I wanted to have both Android and WM, so i did install RAFDROID HD 4.2 on my sd. Everything went smooth on the installation, but now i wanted that Android as my default OS. Every time i turn on my HD2, it loads automatically WM. Tried to install [APP] RunDroid-dual boot to Android [SD] or WM6, and even when i select Android as default, it will load WM first...
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
António
Why dont you choose Android on Nand, it only boot into Android without any worried

Can you help me, giving me a tip on how i do that? (it is mandatory that i maintain WM intact on the phone memory)
well if you want nand android than your WM will be gone.
but you can always reflash it back to WM later.
if you do not want WM to be gone you should maybe try a different bootloader

Right, you should try a different boot loader
try this: multiboot: http://www.mediafire.com/?nssn9v0ijoy3thv
You can install more than 1 android build on SD card.

[Q] Possible to self-port the HD2 Android SD Builds for NAND?

I love the wonderfulness (as in the roms meant for the SD are way better than those for NAND, as I've observed) of the SD builds. But I want them in my phone as NAND, not on SD. SD versions always freezes on my phone, and are very slow compared to those on NAND. So... Is there any way for me to port them to NAND? I do have a little bit of experience cooking my own ROMS... And tweaking them to my liking...
Don't know if its possible, but I was having a few lags in my SD builds and I found that my problem was the SD card.. the performance of the SD should be the same as in nand, the only difference is that you should have a better battery life in nand.. you can test your SD card with a program called crystalmark , you need a card with good random read and write..

Hmm... Problem is... I kinda don't have the luxury of buying a faster SD card... Need all the money I can to fund my videography/photography hobby... But I do have the time to port the ROMs to NAND if I have the method...
Try packing the rom files into a CWM file instead of current file format, install it, flash a NAND kernel, like TyTungs then see what happens

Been always using roms from other but from the little I've seen so far it didn't seem wrong else I wouldn't have posted it

Hi
which version of HD2? 512eu or t-mous?
Perhaps the recovery partition you used is uncorrect...
I am using EU hd2. I'm currently using cyanogenmod 7 which works fine

ok, I think you used uncorrect recovery...
You have to download cwr 3.02.4, and modify flash.cfg. I wrote a little guide yesterday, you can find t here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256610
post no. 8, it helped the user, I hope can help you too. This post referred to a tmous hd2, but it's the same thing for eu version. The only difference is the partition... You have to modify it like that:
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 5M
system ya 195M
cache ya 5M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
Then, if you don't have, you have to do ext partition on sd card...
If I helped you please click thanks button, otherwise please ask me here and I'll try to explain better...
Ok I will give this a try and let you know.
Just a quick question,if I follow your instructions will I still be able to load cm7 back to my hd2or will I have to follow another set of instructions to get back to cm7

yes sure... It's necessary for apps2sdgui...
This is what you have to do:
1. format your sd card (fat32)
2. go to cwr
3. choose ad recovery
4.choose advanced
5.choose partition s. you can choose the size as you prefer, it depends on the capacity of your sd, but it can be max 2gb... swap must be 0.
6. done

this procedure will erase your sd,so make a backup:
in mgldr-ad recovery-advanced-partition sd card-1024 (or 2048)-0
so you'll have 1gb or 2gb sd-ext3 partition with 0 swap size

then you cannot choose more than 1gb. later i recommend to get at least 8gb sd (if possible sandik class4 or class2)

hi, i saw on clockwordmod the "install rom from sd card" option and i'm curious..if i download cm10 rom on my sd card, is it possible to install it via that cwm option? probably stupid question but i'm a noob and i would really like to have JB on my HD2 but i don't know what's the easy way to do it.. thank you all
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda app-developers app
Of course it is, but you need a partition on your sd card. Also, newer roms come with the aroma installer and then, when you start the installation, aroma starts and you're asked if you want nand(probably tmous only) or data2ext(everything goes to partition) type. Then you select the second one(if you partitioned sd card) and it installs it itself. There's also the newest method called native sd. Search for tutorials and other because what I wrote isn't enough.
Just to mention, you can partition your sd with cwm, or mini tool partition wizard. With partitioning, you lose all the data that you have on sd.
Good luck!
thank you just one more question.. when i do sd par. which size on ext size should i put? i have 3 options (128,256 and 512 mb)?

Read if the rom yr installing has any instructions regarding a preferred partition size. Other than that it's up to you, you can do some reading on here about it. I'd opt for 512. I currently use 1024. You won't break anything, jump in, pick one and enjoy getting to try the latest jellybean! Try Paranoid Android, you'll hate to be without the "hybrid mode" once you try it.

If you mean the JB 4.2 camera, then you should really read more carefully. The title and OP clearly state the ROM is a JB 4.1.2 ROM, there aren't any 4.2 ROMs available yet. Luckily for you, there's a link to my thread containing some of the 4.2 apps (both flashable zips and .apks) in my sig.

nativesd is dependant on your sd card having a decent random write speed. if its slow, you get lags and hangs.
