Scrolling Bug - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on my second nexus 10 device now and most of my previous issues have been resolved except for the scrolling problem I keep experiencing. Every time I scroll down slowly on either chrome or YouTube through the YouTube app the screen automatically jumps up back to where I started on the page originally. For instance if I start at the top of a page and scroll to the middle the page goes right back up to the top as I'm scrolling down so I have to scroll back down to get the content I was trying to view. This issue pretty much happens every single time I view a new page, it's consistent. Any one have any suggestions for me?

Also happens to me. I thought I was the only one!

So, same thing in email eh?
Stock email app; open email, touch screen (such as to click a link) and it jumps down just a bit and suddenly you're clicking on empty space

N8010 4.1.1 DBT recent apps problem

Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you also have this "bug": I kind of get the feeling this happens once in a while, that when I press on the most bottom recent app, or any other recent app in this matter, that it starts a different recent app which is not the one I klicken.
Example: I touched peel smart remote and Facebook comes up?
Infos:
I know about the bug when Samsungs are plugged in, and no it wasn't plugged in
I'm rooted (exploit)
Had reboots
Came from oldest stock ics Rom to this jb Rom via odin
This is not a ultra consistent problem, but it is annoying when it happens =p just wanted to see if there is a common solution or if anyone else is experiencing this?
Greetings sysl0rd

I've had the same thing happen. I thought it was just me clicking on the wrong app initially....until I read this post. Hopefully Samsung know about all these weird bugs and complaints, and are doing something about it.

I've just been messing around with the recent apps tab trying to replicate the problem. It seems that if I hit the recent tab icon and then choose an app too soon after it pops up, it will occasionally open a completely different app to the one I chose. If I leave it for a couple of seconds it always opens the right one.
Not a big deal.....but still shouldn't happen.

Gallery issue?

Hi guys, I've been searching the Web for a while now for this problem and I hope I'm not the only one with it. But since yesterday when I'm on gallery the preview at the bottom of the screen doesn't disappear! If you play a video the play buttons don't go anywhere either. Is there anyone else with this issue?

Yep, same here. I was about to make a thread for it, but found yours. The preview at the bottom, and toolbar at the top NEVER disappear, no matter what I've tried. Also, when making photo selections, a woman's voice tells me that the "check box is checked" I can't find that setting anywhere either. Super annoying.
What the deuce?
Haha even restarts don't help =/ and yeah the woman is hilarious but creepy! I would love to ask Samsung but would have no idea where to start!

Someone's gotta know a fix for this? I'm not aware of any other phone doing it...

I was having this exact same problem and finally figured out what was causing it, at least for me. I installed NoLED and turned it on under accessibility. I didn't realize the connection at the time but then I noticed that the top and bottom overlays in the gallery wouldn't go away. I also got the freaky voice, even when opening websites. Somehow I correlated the issue as to having started after I installed NoLED. After I uninstalled it my gallery sent back to normal. It was either an issue with the app or having given it access under accessibility. Hope this helps.

Gallery works fine on my S4. I have several 100 pictures on it in lots of different folders, and it works great for all of them. Video playback is fine too, FWIW.

Well I've had lightflow installed since day one... So I didn't even uninstall it, just turned it off in accessibility. Yup, gallery is fine now. Odd glitch.

same problem here...
it's not just lightflow, it's for every app that you activate in the accessibility menu
strange
That is pretty weird. Should of known it was light flow! Is there any way to report this to Samsung? At least we have found the fix. Thank you guys a lot!

App edit makes screen move.

This didn't happen when I got my phone last week, but now anytime I edit something on a home screen or within the app drawer, my screen that I am on automatically moves two to the left. Any idea why this would be and what i would need to do to stop it?
I apologize if this is a dumb question, didn't find any other threads with it, and am a new user to Android since switching from my iPhone so it may be something simple I am missing.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
I found out that it only happens when I have anything in motion enabled since that allows me to switch which page I'm on by moving the phone, but it constantly moves two to the left still when enabled which is especially frustrating when I want to move apps inside of a folder

Note 3 stock browser peformance

I seem to have an issue an I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem or knows a fix. Basically the stock browser keeps hanging while loading Web pages. It seems to wait a bit longer than normal before loading pages more often than not. It happens both on wifi an hsdpa. I've noticed chrome doesn't have the issue at al. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Same goes with my s4 guys. Blame samsung fir this. Also, how is the tab opening;switching time on note 3?

Slightly off topic but how the heck do you do a rollover on a button? In any browser? I like the stock browser but I hate having to long press on a button then hit back on the soft key to get it to work! I'm no iFan but I do have to commend apple on getting that one thing right. Why does it take these android devs so long to figure this out lol.
I think the main issue is with android fragmentation, where as Apple only have their iDevices.. Gives them more control.
Op I get my note 3 later, will test it out and try a few solutions.. Hopefully there's a silly fix somewhere as I was planning on using stock browser as it's always performed well!! Have you tried dolphin? That's a quick snappy browser imo.

Played with he browser for the past half hour... Everything is fluid, fast, no delays... Smooth as butter. Very impressed!! Especially the new look for tab switching.
Are you still experiencing or has it sorted itself out?

Is there a way to save pages for offline reading? This feature was in Note 2's stock browser.
Also, is there a way to sync desktop browser bookmarks like on Chrome? Thx.

I've been playing with the stock browser for the last day or so since getting this phone. Super smooth and fast. No hiccups or laggy periods. And I also agree the new tab switching is nice compared to older versions I've used (I came from a note 1). The only gripe I have is that you can't seem to load new tabs in background. Now, every time I open a new tab, it loads upon top. Irritating, although I'll have to get used to it.

What about kinetic scrolling? Is it as responsive as note 2? Also I am experiencing this annoying issue when I click on a picture on facebook mobile website it is displayed in very small size. Chrome does not have this issue neither does the stock browser on note 2

Also something that anoyes me a lot in the note 3 is the auto fit pages.. It seems to have disappeared even in chrome. Really a bummer .. With this gorgeous screen you are left out with pages that you have to slide from side to side to be able to read a zoomed page :banghead:

Step away from the Stock Browser would be my suggestion. Ive been using Chrome and havent had any issues. There are other browsers that have been tested and proved great performance

[Q] Why does android videos(youtube) have to redownload?

i just dropped the iphone 5(sad face) to try this s4 active out(ready to go fishing). So its been a year since i've had a top of the line phone, so here it is the S4. I'm watching a youtube video/ hit the home button to send a text but the video has to RELOAD instead of resuming where it left off at.
Like is there a way around to having videos to redownload after you switch apps on youtube?
My YouTube doesn't have this problem, it may be some rare bugs. You may also try the preloading feature of YouTube Android.
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Can resume here. May be you are out of ram or have some app kill it when you switch to other app
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
nor does it occur here
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 4
I never had this problem. Could be ram, click home do what ever you have to do then hold down home button wait for recent apps to appear click on YouTube should just resume from where you left off.
Yeah but it has to buffer then it resumes where it left off.... On iPhones you can go into other apps then come back and and hit play. Androids you have to hit play then let it redownload the remaining video. So like if you are on a data limit it sucks since it downloads the remaining video after resuming
I have the same problem.
