Anyone have any comparison between the Diztronic TPU and Minisuit TPU cases?
I have at the Ringke Fusion already, and might want to try the TPU cases (since that's what I've had on my phones before).
Can't comment on diztronic but I did a mini review of the Minisuit right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37959304&postcount=15
Hope that helps
The minisuit TPU case look very similar to the Diztronic.
I got the Diztronic case, and I love it. Waiting for my ringke fusion to arrive

Thanks...I saw the review earlier. I was hoping for someone who had both to be able to comment on any differences (since the Minisuit is $5 and the Diztronic is $12.50).

Ha..I have the fusion and thinking about a TPU case as well.
I have both and I certainly like the Diztronic case. Diztronic has a premium feel to it and great protection in my opinion. The buttons are far easier to push on this case.
The Mini Suit case does not have the same premium feel to it; protection may be comparable but the case does not seem as "gripping" as Diztronic case. Buttons are quite hard to push too.
Diztronic clearly wins here, for me at least.
This is my fourth diztronic case(different devices) this revision is of premium quality. But for the price I wasn't expecting the way this one feels, even the covered power and volume buttons feel nice to use

Hi
My nexus 4 was finally delivered in UK and my friend is bringing it to India for me today
I have no previous experience in using mobile cases (was using a Nokia before :angel ).
I am unable to choose which of these provide better protection in case of a fall ...a TPU one or Hard shell (only Amzer available in India)
http://www.flipkart.com/amzer-95222-tpu-hybrid-case-google-nexus-4-e960/p/itmdfzz7hedkzern

IMO TPU is soft so it should provide better shock protection ...but then I am a noob :silly:
ask your friend to get a SGP or Ringke rearth case. Personally wud suggest the rearth case tho

thanks but he is flying today so there isnt much time foe him to grab one of these ....my main question was wrt to fall protection ...wgich one is better hard coves or tpu one wich are soft
Tpu is better for falls. But they cover up the sides which in turn messes with the design of the phone screen
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
TPU is better, lined plastic shell with silicone/rubber/tpu cover is even better.
I went screen protector on the back and a bumper, I'm just playing the odds that the phone won't land on something pointy.
I personally use a TPU case because it sucks up more shock in falls than a regular hard case. Hard cases usually look more clean and nicer, but overall for protection I use a case made of TPU material just in case for that fall one day.

Ebay.in has a few transparent/smoked grey TPU cases. They are better looking than the white and black ones.
Hey guys! I was planning on buying the nexus 4 but I am not sure about which case I should buy. The Poetic Borderline is $10 and is a bumper, but the Ringke Fusion is a Bumper + transparent plastic behind.
I want protection for the back of the phone against scratched and i also want it to be visible..
Should I buy the Poetic bumper and put on a plastic vinyl on the back which is transparent or should I just buy the Ringke Fusion?
UPDATE: What about the Poetic Atmostphere? Will It be as protective as the Poetic bumper?
I've got a poetic bumper, and a brand skin for the back. It looks awesome, buttons and cutouts are perfect too
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
the poetic bumper is great, however, it does not play well this the wireless charging orb. See my video here: Click , you can skip to 4minutes in
I also have the ringke fusion case. Its not as nice as the bumper but it works with the charger and protects the back.
get the poetic. Buy the SGP duals for the back. It's the best protector for the back and it's easy to apply because it's dry install.

lol. No i havnt. I am the president of a car team. We build performance and show cars. I also have an online JDM apparel store.
What about the Poetic Atmostphere?
I'd say the Ringke Fusion. It has a TPU border and a covering for the back, which may be preferable. The TPU may help with the absorption of the impact a bit more than the hard plastic of the Atmosphere. Although the Atmosphere looks nice, I prefer TPU around the border. I guess it just sounds a bit safer. I could be totally wrong though, lol. I'd say look at the Ringke Fusion thread and read what some people have reported. Of course, do the same for the other two cases. Hopefully someone can chime in on their experience with the Atmosphere.
I thought that the atmostphere was more rubbery..

Depends on the user. Both are nice cases but I have a dbrand titanium skin so I prefer a bumper at the moment. But if I had to chose between an atmosphere case and a fusion I would pick the fusion hands down.
A major downfall of the fusion is its buttons. They have basically 0 feedback or recoil. The major downfall of the atmosphere case is it is clear at all u can't see the back glass sparkle its just dulled out. The other thing is if u have a wet apply screen protector it will cause the clear back portion of the fusion to have the water mark effect. The atmosphere case doesn't get this but its because its frosted and not clear. The fusion also has lil feet on each corner to help ptevent scratches to the case and to raise it up a lil for the speaker. Overall the fusion is a much better case I just hope the revise it and fix the buttons ton have better feedback.

Ringke Fusion buttons feel like absolute garbage, no indication at all you are actually pressing
Hello, i just wanna know, what you guys thinks are the best case for Nexus 4
I have tried flip cases from Poetic and PDair, TPU cases from Ditztronic and Cruzerlite, and the feather from Incipio. Frankly all left me a little cold based on the user experience of the phone with case installed. The only one that has actually improved that experience for me is the OEM bumper. The floating buttons in the bumper actually make button pressing more positive, and the extended lip, front and back, make it much less prone to drops.
If you're looking for full coverage however, I am not sure what to recommend, but the Cruzerlite came in a very distant second of the cases that I tried.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.
I have the OEM bumper and love it!

Ringke slim for me. I have the poetic bumper as well, but this case is solid, doesn't add much bulk, and gives the phone more grip and the peace of mind not having to worry about the back of the phone.

Does it interfere with screen protectors?
OEM bumper. My phone fell off the hood of my car today and no cracked screens, just a little scratch on the corner of the bumper.

My girlfriend got me hooked on Body Glove. Hard plastic shell with a rubber inside lining and in just the right place outside. A bit steep in price, but I highly recommend it.

No, I currently have it and I don't have any problems with my side-to-side XOskin
I can vouch for the Ringke Fusion case. excellent quality and grip with the complementary clear back to see the awesome glitter.
I have the SAMRICK Hydro Protective and I'm so happy with it.
nothing beats the premium quality of the OEM bumper...well, that's for me though.:fingers-crossed:
I've used the official bumper, Nillkin Slim and Ringke Fusion. The Ringke Fusion is nice but the buttons are TERRIBLE, a deal breaker to me. The Nillkin is really nice, but I prefer the bumper so I can see the back of the phone. I have it paired with the Spigen SGP Ultra Crystal Dual protectors for the front and back.

Poetic bumper is best so far. I got poetic slim case recently. Its much better then ringke fusion.
Ringke fusion adds so much of bulk to the phone. People buy it for its clear back, but its back never remains clear. It catches finger prints, dust gets inside, there are wet spots formed. I see no reason getting transparent back case when it never remains transparent practically.
Going to post a review soon.

Mercury tpu case hands down
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I have the Nillkin case, but I don't like that it doesn't protect the top and bottom edges of the Nexus 4. I am forever scuffing that damn chrome ring. I used to use the LG Bumper but hated how much bulk it added.
What is the thinnest bumper or case that has full coverage for the edges? I don't care as much about the back.
Poetic Borderline Bumper is probably what you are looking for...
I had the Ringke Slim, Ringke Fusion, Mybat Tuff Case, Poetic Borderline, Poetic Palette Slim, and Official Bumper case
In terms of daily driver performance, I prefer Ringke or Poetic Slim > Official Bumper or Ringke Fusion > Poetic Borderline > Mybat Tuff
In terms of protection, Mybat Tuff > Ringke Fusion > Ringke Slim or Poetic Slim or Official Bumper > Poetic Borderline
Do note that, you will get that "hollow" feeling in the back because the way the bumper extenuates the sides.
Overall, I do have to say that the Poetic Slim (kind of slippery in the hand but not really due to material ) or Ringke Slim (attracts a lot finger prints)
would be my go to case if I want slim & sexy.
Good Luck :good:
Ringke fusion ftw

I've tried the Ringke Fusion, but didn't like how it added a lot of bulk/weight to my Nexus 4 and the buttons are also really difficult to press. I'm currently using the cruzerlite tpu case and I love how thin my phone remains. It also has smooth cutouts for the buttons. .

mine as well but the edges between the clear part and the black bumper has a ridge which i emailed ringke about
Well, absolutely the thinnest would be a sheet of paper.
You can even upgrade it by getting the inexpensive coloration kit by Crayola, which is compatible with many other phones and brands. (Apple even updated their OS to match the style, talk about support!). Driven by User Made Content and you can make it exactly how you want it. Other vendors try to push their own design, but everyone is unique, and thus are your wishes for a phone case.
I sacrificed a little more thickness in return for more protection by getting the sturdier Cardboard Enhanced edition, you can see how it looks here:

I have a ringke slim and love it, it adds pretty much no bulk to the phone and its already taken a few hits with no damage to the phone! Also, nfc and wireless charging work which is a plus. My only grip is with heat distribution, i don't think it does a superb job but its really not a big deal.
Just got my poetic bumper and love it feels almost the same without it. My other case is the ballistic case. Ballistic is way too bulky and it doesn't fit the phone perfectly.

i love my oem bumper though

Just got the Ringke Slim. Adds grip, not likely possible to be any more slim. Offers back scratch protection and ensures the sides don't get dinged. If that's what you're looking for then I'd suggest the case

Spigen Rugged Armor
Been covering my phone with it for almost 3 months. Good grip, no scratches, no drops etc... Fits well with fabric front foil or anti fingerprint screen protector.

I wouldn't get the ringke the bumper just gets super messed up on those. I'd say the best thing I like about orzly is that it just feels so much secure. You can check my review on Amazon.in I have some pics uploaded there too.
I can only say don't get the Kevlar one from the official site. You can't use the alert slider in that. And it just looks bulky. Got one and using it.

I think because of the rubber sides it would feel more grippy compared to Ringke's sort of slippery material (I bought one for op3 last year). I had read all the reviews on Amazon and surely leaned towards Orzly only. What color do you have though?

I can vouch for this, since I use the same case.
I use the spiegen case
Spigen Neo Hybrid for ruggedness and Nillkin basic is a decent average in all areas.
The OnePlus 5 Bumper Case Karbon direct from oneplus is the best!
Expensive but best protection. I tested it last night Fall from 1,5 m on the really rainy road without any damage (phone or case)
