It is a .boot file and not a zip file and you cannot flash it with CWM, flash it with fastboot duh. adb command: fastboot flash boot [name file].

Try the img boot file. What message do you get if the install fails? Download the kernel again, maybe a corrupt download.

I don't get any message. The kernel flashes, but when I check the kernel version it lists my old kernel.

[Q] Change/Replace TWRP Recovery with CWM (ClockWorkMod) on LG G2

Hi guys,
I just want to ask you how could I replace TWRP Recovery with CWM on my LG G2 D802 International? Are there any issue/incompatibility?
I have rooted and installed TWRP, but I have issue with installing CyanogenMod 10.2 Stable (I checked MD5 and downloaded it many times): as I understand is a problem of TWRP compatibility.

It depends on what you download. If you download the recovery.img you can use the app "flashify" to flash the recovery, or if you download a flashable .zip then flash it in recovery then reboot recovery.
There are also instructions on how to use adb and loki here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670

I'm interested with the flashable zip, so I just need to download it from Official CWM topic the file called "ZIP FILES - OFFICIAL - TOUCH D802" and flash it from TWRP recovery?

I'm not 100% if thats a "lokified" recovery or not. I don't think you'll hurt anything by flashing it. If you can't flash something using that recovery then there is an issue and you can flash another recovery.

What do You suggest?
Otherwise, there is also the app called ROM Manger which should automatically flash the CWM.
The important thing is that it does not create problems between recovery.

Building recovery from source is very difficult. sm7102 is same to sm-g7105 so both recovery. Img should be unpacked and i don't know which files should be replaced.
So developers who port recovery, their help is needed.

I repacked a recovery and changed some file, and repacked and finally the custom recovery .img compressed in tar.md5 file and reflashed by odin, but it dosnt work . i think i have to learn more about files in there, but it's not easy to learn by myself.

you use this tool http://boot-repacker.blogspot.com/, first you put a stock recovery.img in one directory or a file, and you unpack the recovery with the the boot recovery repacker , in the the file you will find a ramdisk and kernel images, into ramdisk file u will find all files that u have change. after that changing files y have to rapack the recovery, dont forget that the tool boot recovery repacker must be always open, dont close it. after repacking the edited recovery , u can compress this recovery and tar file and add md5 with an other tool md5 tool packager http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42393470&postcount=2.

[Guide] Flash OTAs with TWRP (OS 2.1.3/ 005)

Firstly, you cannot install OTA's with TWRP. You'll have to get back to stock recovery in order to install patches.
Thanks to @eng.stk, with the recovery compiled from source, we now can flash OTA Zips from TWRP.
Download TWRP 2.8.7.0: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=15364
Download the following OTA's and move them to internal/external storage and proceed to install them from TWRP.
OxygenOS_X_Rom.zip (003)

It's most likely that you tampered the system and recovery partition. I uploaded the stock recovery here, flash the stock recovery, then flash to system dump, then this patch.
Well, i did a nandroid backup before getting rooted, i tried to restore my phone so i could properly do the ota, but now there is no OS installed
But my computer still detect my phone, where can i download the full rom please ?

By flashing the system dump I meant, install this zip package http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/ota003all20151024193-oxygenos-ota-dump-t3244996. This zip package is stock system dump bearing version 03. Then flash to 03-04 patch.
is this OTA solved the problem with microsd cards?
Can anybody help with a generic error trying to flash the stock recovery again?
No reason why just says failed. I am rooted with TWRP and trying to revert to stock to be able to OTA. Last android was a nexus 4 and been away a little while so I may be missing something.. I don't want to have to wipe all my data and such can somebody assist and refresh my understanding?
Dizzyrul3z: No, microSD card issue remains according to official forum--next OTA I bet.
I'm rooted, TWRP also errored when I attempted the OTA installed.
So to clarify, using TWRP I want to install three zips: stock rom, OTA03 (system dump), and OTA04 (update), wipe cache/dalvik. Correct?
Question: I install them all at once in TWRP, right? Will any of this erase my apps/data?
Thanks,

You need to flash to Stock recovery as well. I'll be updating the OP.
So this update is newer than the one mentioned here right ? : https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oxygenos-2-1-2-will-start-roll-out-to-oneplus-x-today.402637/

Just received this OTA mins ago.
Size: 17MB
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3AIip-hiOnNb1pBeGNlcUIyYmc/view?usp=sharing
Instructions:
1. Switch to Stock Recovery if you're running TWRP. But how to do it? Restore this backup from TWRP.
2. Flash the system dump available at this thread.
3. Now flash this update/patch.
4. Then fastboot flash TWRP recovery if you only need it.
Just my 2 cents, boot TWRP instead of flashing it. I personally suggest.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp_directory_of_your_pc.img
PSA: You'll need Stock recovery to patch official updates.
PS: My Memory Card is working exceptionally fine. I am using a Samsung EVO+ 32GB.

Yes you need custom recovery.
Just download the TWRP 3.0.M2-0 and flash it via adb by using this command in cmd window -
fastboot flash recovery <filename.img>
Whereas, the <filename.img> is the filename of your twrp recovery which you will download.
For example -
If you have downloaded the custom recovery with the filename "twrp 3.0.x.x" then you have to type the following code -
fastboot flash recovery twrp 3.0.x.x.img
After flashing the twrp, now reboot to recovery.
Once you are in recovery, go to install section and locate the zip file (your black YouTube zip file), select it and then swipe to flash.
After flashing, just reboot the system. That's it.

Follow this https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html#patching-images.
When you patch the boot image, you need to do that on the same phone (POCO M3) in the Magisk app, also you can copy the patched image manually to your PC, you don't need to use adb command to copy.
If you still don't understand how to do it, you can ask me again, I will give more detailed steps.

I don't know, but you can try to install TWRP on the phone.
I used TWRP, and never had any problem like that, the phone could boot to system with Magisk installed.
Or if you don't need a custom recovery, you can just install the MIUI stock recovery, Magisk with patched boot.img will work without a custom recovery.
