I read that docomo was going to release the Galaxy S in October ... so if that is correct maybe there will be a language pack and/or swype that comes with it.

Hello,
Sorry for boring you but I need your help.
I was an HD2 user with all those amazing rom and after breaking it, I've got a galaxy s2 g version.
I would like to port a non g version to a g version.
They have different cpu and gpu.
I've changed some lib and driver but would like to know if there is some configuration file to modify somewhere.
I had a some error waiting on surfaceflinger...
I don't manage to fix it.
Thank you for your help!

umm, you want to port a galaxy rom to a different galaxy model and you're asking this in the hd2 section? are there no devs in the (lots of) galaxy sections?
Yes I know. It's a bit strange. But dev here are used to port rom from a different phone.
That's the reason.

Alright everyone, Angelos from www.roms-db.com contacted me.
And i'm happy to let you know that after high demand, he's finished in adding all the Galaxy Note roms to his database of custom roms http://galaxynote.roms-db.com.
He would greatly appreciate it if everyone could check out his site and maybe give some feedback if any information is wrong or missing. Also when there are any updates not mentioned (for example the android version (4.0.3
..., or the rom base (Touchwiz, etc...)))
The site for the Galaxy Note roms is http://galaxynote.roms-db.com
Thanks Angelos!
I would appreciate it if a moderator could make this a sticky since it's going to be a great help to the forum and the members/cooks!
Cheers!
great work
Wonderful, im also expecting for the all kernels in the same place.
wow! great site mate!
Hello Nimac91.
I have a humble request. Can you add custom Gingerbread firmware as well?
Also, is it possible to a step-wise installation guide for each custom firmware? Perhaps members from XDA Developers can assist in compiling such installation guides.
Just my thoughts! Thank you for listening.
Much easier for newbies like myself who have yet to flash a rom...but yes please kernals in same place would be great with instructions lollll pushing ittt abit

Sir i bought Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with box and complete acc... seller told me it is imported from Hong Kong and unused and original... phone seems original as i know about this as used before, everything is ok and original.. but i am confused to checked its sim slot... it have micro sim slot while the Galaxy Note have mini (standard) sim slot.. i know Korean 4G LTE version SHV-160X have micro sim slot which i used before.. it is also showing model No. GT-N7000 in about phone.. android 4.0.4 ics.. doesn't have antina on top... i want to install 4.1.2 jelly bean stock rom in it but there is no option for auto update in about phone which GT-N7000 has.. i installed CPU Identifier from google play to know what actual it is ,,, it is showing CPU info as Snapdragon while the GT-n7000 have Cortex A9 CPU.. model # showing GT-N7000 (SHV-160K)!!! Now i need to ask what custom rom should i install in it? for GT-N7000 or SHV-E160K? so that i would not brick my phone... Awaiting suggestions from developers...
Good.. You have done most of the work... If it has Qualcomm cpu then not N7000 roms.
Hello Friends. Misery Is Over For N7105 Rom Community.
I found a easy method (very very easy) of porting n7100 roms to n7105.
i need a n7105 user to help me. i don't have n7105.
so please someone follow my this guide
and sent me the mounts file.
i may reply late but don't worry i will reply.
and mods please do't move this thread
You should be able to get all info via downloading one of the roms here. In aroma script
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
I'm keen to help in any way but its my understanding that the mount points (if your referring to partitions) are the same between the n7100 and the n7105. But I could easily be wrong
Sent from my GT-N7105T using xda premium
You can port though by adding the lib files that madmack suggested in his ATT thread and then just replace the modem, kernel and CSC with the one for the n7105
Is this method any easier or?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
That method gives phone FCs and sim unlock popups
To the OP, i would like to help you but unfortunetly i don't have a linux box.
It doesn't if you use the correct CSC files, along with the help of turilo from the att section I had a fully working omega 10 before I moved to cm 10.1
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Or can you at least share your porting idea with us? To see if we can make it work! Sharing is caring...

I had the kernel and modem added, but nota the csc files. Can you give us some pointers to the csc files we need to change?
Thanks

Place it in the correct sections and we won't need to. Are you asking a question or are you developing something?
Hey all,
I am really keen to see this work.
I am not a dev by any means, but I would really like to help if I can.
In the Galaxy Note II Android Development section there are a whole heap of ROMs but they are all for the N7100. Go to N7105 Android Development section and there are only a couple ROMs there! I upgraded from the Galaxy Nexus where there is an abundant supply of ROMs, but it looks like that too is the case for the N7100 but not mine!
Can we get something going where we list what works or what doesn't? Or anything really, just to get some more movement with this?
I found this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008
Gonna give that tut a go and see how I go. If it's possible to port ROMs from LG to Samsung, then it shouldn't be too difficult to port one GN2 ROM to another GN2.
Hello, I want to offer my help if I can, I use a 7105. But my English is really bad, so I'm perhaps not the real appropriate person to help but i propose.

Hello S2 lovers. Today I managed to get my hands on the note 2 4.4.2 and I began the biggest project : Porting 4.4.2 Touchwizz ROM. So I have a unfinished varyant of it... My problem is that I don't have Ubuntu and I can't decompile kernal and recompile it... So here is my request : I need someone who knows how to edit a kernal and who has Ubuntu to help me with the ROM... Also , if we manage to make a bootable version I need a name for the ROM . And I want you to think at a name.
Thanks in advance

The kernel is the easy part, I can take care of that for you.
The question is how you will make it boot as framework, libs etc need probably a lot of changes
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
That's a little thing... Our goal is to make a bootable version... Glitches will be solved after

Is the kernel the more easy part? It would be excellent, if you could make it as soon as possible. :good:
Share the kernel from your 4.4.2 rom and i will look into it.
But here is a good tip: use a CM11 kernel from s2 and change the framework, libs etc. Trust me to make it boot you dont need to focus that much on kernel but more on the files in the rom. So start by porting, i am sure you will get bootloop in first attemt so adb a logcat and take it from there. I sure hope you can adb.

Hi Mr. Lazy,
Here is a suggestion for posting new threads in future. Use the search function to make sure threads of the same topic don't already exist. In this case, we already have this one.
