Hello,
I just got a galaxy phone and trying to root but couldn't.
I am using the official ROM I9000jpjpf. Is there a way to root it??
Thanks for help

The application z4root can root jpjpf the application thread is here
you may also flash kernels by odin which have root support like speedmod kernel you can find it here
I rooted my phone or at least I thought I did, but when I try to use flashing it says I don't have superuser access. I have successfully rooted a galaxy we and a HTC one xl, so I don't consider myself a noob. I guess I am to this device though. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Can you share what you have done so far? What guides have you followed?
Installed drivers then used iroot. File found on xda. It installed superuser app but when trying to use flashify to install twrp it says I have lost root access.

Put on phone and dl flashify to flash twrp but I stoped with just root for now till I learn more bout this phone. .been reading Some of the mess some people Are in. Seems that people are getting stuck in all kinds of bootloop problems. .

If I root and after I do it says that I don't have superuser access, do I need to unroot and try again. I used the ioroot method. The day before though I took the ota update. So from what I've read if you do so you can't get superuser access with this method. Also I will search for a way but could someone point me in the right direction to root properly.
Thanks

There is no working root after the oat installed at this time as far as I know so stay away from rooting and avoid soft brick.
