Yeah. I use it now. Can't on Google Now (it's different than the browser or Chrome), but on Chrome it works great.
If you enable it, its enabled on every device. I enabled it from my PC and it worked on my gnex and nexus 7. Didn't like it though.

Is there anyway to get persistent notifications? I am using jellybro and my wife is still stock. Neither ROM seems to support the feature.
I want my phone to beep every few minutes to remind me of missed calls and text messages.

Is this the sort of thing you were looking for?

Exactly! You are the man! Don't understand why such a basic feature was removed from android. Doesn't seem like I should need an app for this. Thanks a million!

Today I read a post that talked about some app of quiet hours.
I my mind is not bad I remember that android had this on 4.0.4???? Am I wrong? Cause my nexus 4 on 4.2.2 doesn't have it.
Thanks

Not on stock. CM has had it since gingerbread though. Maybe even froyo.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
PA must have added it in because I have it and I'm running PA.
You could also use the app called - Battery Widget. It has the feature to set up quiet hours. You could also setup a tasker script for the same.
Thanks , mm yeah, I thought that was a stock option.
It would be nice google to add it.

Google just puts the bare minimum and if you want more. Do it yourself and install a app or flash a custom rom. That's the joy of having android, the possibilities of adding things yourself
I personally don't use profiles.

Today I noticed that when I unplug my headphones I get a toast saying that it was disconnected.
This thing occurred today so maybe Google did what Sony did and pushed a few modified files over to all the Nexus 4's on stock without any OTA's or anything like nothing happened.
Does anyone with the stock rom get this today?
Go to http://flic.kr/p/fb5Uiy for screenshot.
Cannot upload image to XDA anymore for some reason.

Stock rom, toast in Android means this black rectangular shape with text within on the bottom of the screen, refer to screenshot in the first post.

I haven't seen that toast. It could be coming from an app you have installed and not the OS. Perhaps the Zoner AV you have installed.

Your right, It is the Music Tagging app, I just greenified it so it will not occur again.
This is what happens when you think too hard when there is a simple fix.

Clearly not from stock software, hardware icons go to the right with WiFi and BT.

What hardware buttons?, I am using the Google-all-clean-stock rom.
Bluetooth is off so the icon does not show which is completely normal since Android 1.5.

I never said buttons. On my G1 there use to be a headset icon indicating headphones, I can't recall if my other android devices had it tho. The BT icon was an example to emphasize where hardware based icons go relative to the status bar.

The Nexus 4 never had the headset icon, I know what you mean because I seen it on my hard bricked LG GT540.

That is Google Music, you can still have that icon without earphones.
That is for changing songs from the notifications bar.
Apologies for late response, I am in Madeira at the moment and I only can get internet at certain times.

Recently I've noticed that some things are missing from my settings menu, specifically the developer options. I've not rooted my device or anything like that. Any idea how this might have happened?
