I have a stock unlocked Nexus 10 with Clockworkmod Recovery v6.0.2.3. I have flashed a Franco Kernel at one point in time but made a stock kernel backup before. I made sure that I flash the stock kernel before attempting this update. I have also tried to flash using TWRP, but I get the same message every time.
Anyone know what this is and how to fix it so I can flash to the 4.2.2 update?
nearly same problem for me with unlocked and rooted nexus 10 but stock kernel:

It's the infamous set_perm error when try to install the recovery, it's necesary to change the ota zip.
What is the "infamous set permanent error"? And what does that mean for me when it comes to installing the update?

First, I am new to this. I followed instructions on how to root my galaxy s2. Now, my phone is rooted. Tried to load clockwork version 5.0.2.7 by putting the zip file and loading it while in recovery. When I try, I recieve a exclamation mark inside a triangle. It tries to load, but stop.
I also recieved "E:failed to verify whole-file signature, E:signature verification failed."
I then tried downloading rom manager and doing it from there. Same thing. It will start and then I will ge the triangle again.
Love the phone. But, if I cannot put custom roms on it, imma return it.
Any help ia appreciated. Again, I am new to this. So, basic instructions for me please!
Thanks in advance!!!!

You would have to be retarded to return your phone because of this. Just toggle file signatures.

So The reason i raise this question is i had TWRP installed and went to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.1.2 and i got the no md5 file found error on this as well. It skipped it however shouldnt the direct link with google download have matched?
This is my process whenever trying to flash a new rom on my nexus
bought N7 two weeks ago
Upgraded 4.1.2
downgraded bootloader 3.42
rooted
flashed CMW
upgraded 3.41 (unable to boot into recovery)
downgraded 3.42
flashed TWRP 2.3.1 (unable to access recovery)
Flashed CMW (disabled reflash of bootloader upon rom start up)
flashed TWRP 2.3.1
I keep getting e: no md5 file found
I have downloaded multiple Roms on my PC and on my nexus. Any ideas?

It's a option. You just have to toggle "md5sum checking," I forget where it's at exactly but just look and it won't take long

Hi everyone, first I have to say that English is not my primary language so I apologize for any inconvenience.
So what stupid things I did was, I used Nexus Toolkit to upgrade to 4.4 Kitkat from a Custom ROM and Custom Kernel
After I realized it, i wasn't able to boot up the device properly
neither the Android itself nor the Recovery
All of it will show up a line of word "Booting Failed" on the top the bootloader screen
I tried to recover it to stock using Nexus Toolkit but sadly it started to fail after those erasing command
(Even using the flash-all.bat)
Now the device is still can be found by using fastboot devices
And I tried to flash CWM and gives out the error output :

What can I do now ?
Helps is much appreciated
SOLVED
After booting to temporary recovery, I found that the only problem is that the internal storage is unable to mount
So after wiping every thing and format I managed to flash recovery and system too now

I always get this message when installing a ROM on my D805 (except the AOSP).
this message comes right back to the start of the initial configuration, and not leave it!
someone has gone through this?
OBS: can I install any ROM D802 I have this same message!
sorry for the google translator: (
how do you go to stock rom, is it purely stock or custom?
try factory reset lol. will lose all data.
wipe the app that fc data\caches.
in recovery fix permisions, only if you have a recovery on phone. if you do have update it
on aosp its not there.
Do you do clean installs
The only one that actually helped me out is deleting the lg setup*.apk from the flashable zip.
Yes I always got this when installing a new rom on d802. was really annoying and i had to uninstall the setupwizard.apk and odex from system/app. i returned my phone to stock original then rerooted and installed blackpearl and this has gone away however.
Thank you, excluding LGStartupwizard.apk had worked to install the ROM.
Hello! Good morning, I managed to unlock the bootloader of my phone and installed the recovery, at the beginning I managed to test as 3 different roms (all signal failed me) and when I went to test a 4th rom in the process of flashing it gave me an error "failed to mount / data (invalid argument) "and from there made a bootloop, searched the internet and said to change the partition to ext4 and then return it to as it was before, but without success, it followed the same data problem. As a precaution I had made a copy of the complete system with TWRP and I proceeded to restore it, but in the process my gave the same error and when I went to restart it did bootloop again and when I went back to the recovery there was the system and from there I made a complete formatting of the phone and with luck I manage to start. Then I reinstalled TWRP successfully, but for example trying to make a backup gave an error in the data, and in TWRP it is not possible to mount the data even manually. At the moment I use the phone with EMUI 4.1, but someone knows how to solve this problem or it has happened to someone. I appreciate your responses and attached a screenshot from TWPR.
