Vibrate Soft Keyboard Feature?

hey guys i was trying out the android sdk for the vogue and it is awesome..especially the keyboard and how it vibrates every time you press a key. i was wondering if there is a program or registry edit that can make windows keyboard do that? i currently use pcm keyboard and that would be an awesome addition to wm6.1. idk if it is possible but i would love that add-on
EDIT: i heard pcm has done that for v0.16 but it is still very unstable and the skins suck right now..unless someone can make that setting for v0.14 or a program/edit can do that i guess we might just have to wait till v0.17

I'm using one that will vibrate with every screen touch. im loving it. you can control the intensity of the vibration also.

Well, the one problem with the Vibrate option is that it may cause the White Dot Issue, which somehow gets onto the screen and stays there due to the Vibrate Mechanism..I'm not sure why, but it has happened to beware.

Wake up Legend with trackball?

Hi, do you have some news about waking up the Legend with the trackball? It is a little bit annoying to wake it up with power button and afterwards unlock the phone sliding your finger down. I am still searching for this feature across the internet.
If you will have some news or find a solution, please post it.

That's what I'm looking for too. Or anything else. Tap the screen and then slide unlock, or get rid of the unlock slide at all and use just power button etc etc. This HTC lock/unlock solution is just the worst one.

hi yeah use No lock app
It simply disables the lock screen. Press the unlock/menu button just once and the screen turns on immediately.

I wrote a config file to unlock with menu and home button..
Trackpad button is different from others buttons! Kernel doesn't assign a code to trackpad.. I'm taking a patch from desire's forum and i'm trying to apply it to legend kernel..

instead of power button plus swipe, you can do power button plus menu button

I just randomly came across this... Downloaded a free app called "No Lock" (BoD ) which obviously removes the lock from the screen, but it also enables any button including the track ball, volume keys, menu, search... (you get the point) to turn on the phone screen. Its up to you guys but since there is no hardware button for making calls I dont really see any problem with pocket dialing - just no lock Also, there are programs to solve that such as chompsms which lets you do pattern lock to use it...and there are others to cover all apps too. Hopefully this helps someone.
Sorry - Just saw a few posts down the same thing was posted. I guess I wont completely erase mine tho since I evplain it a bit more if there are noobs reading.

i really really need a way to wake up my legend with a key other than power as it is acting funny.

im using no lock too but it only works with the power button? im on official unbranded htc froyo btw

But unfortunately this doesnt work for me... I think on Froyo there is no way around this. as my power button doesnt always work im going to downgrade to 2.1 and then use a custom froyo rom with this ability or maybe just stick with 2.1 for the time being...

a little update on froyo!
it seems that when you are charging your phone and using a program to disable sense keylock you can wake up your device. so I think on froyo they have prevented other keys to have power and be active....

thats interesting and i can confirm thats how my phone is working too...i just prefer using any key to wake up so my power button doesnt die quicker than it would normally

Is there a way we can mod a lib file or a keylayout jar to make Defy wake up on menu or home or search instead power.if anyone has some idea please share..appreciate it...i've seen desire brAvo buzz wildfire galaxy having that mod ,i'm sure defy can be modded too..

Walter quarx ..any modd's..dev can we add this feature wakeup the phone on home or menu Tab as de-pressing power button most time creates issues time after time I've attached the keylayout for htc buzz..if we can adopt this for jordan keylayout .it would be amazingly good...please look into it..m0d's & dev ..thanks again

no need to press anything to wake up device
hi...i am using a free app called "tap tap app".available free in market.been using it for months now without any problem.u just have to move/sway ur finger over the proximity sensor to wake up the device..no need to even touch the screen.in comments on the app in market it says it drains battery but for me its not significant...considering i dont have to press power button anymore.try it out .its the best solution to save defy power button.works better on froyo roms than on gingerbread ones

thanks much badshah puneet ..that did help.but don't we've some moddin through keylayout without messing with proximity sensor.hope some of the mod's can try.i did try the file posted by me for htc buzz by changing the jordan layout..had a boot loop.. ..hope walter or quarx or other dev can look into it..

Ok I've been searching for this like a crazy person but haven't found any really useful information about this.
I have a MT4G which doesn't work well with trackpad wake, so I would like to know if there are more roms out there that do NOT have the trackpad wake feature enabled.
I know that cm7 has an option to disable it and also I have a sense rom that was patched to disable this feature... but switching between just 2 roms is a little bit limitating... so... does anybody know about some other roms that do NOT wake the phone using the trackpad? only the power button? maybe ported roms from other devices that do not have trackpads? anyone?

If trackpad wake doesn't work for you, don't use it.

DARKSIDE Sense v3.3 (Sense 3.5) was really solid and didn't come with trackpad wake, if I recall. Had menu and back wake, I think. Power wake too, of course.They all have that. Even Roms with trackpad wake can be woken up with power button.

Virtuous Affinity 2.05 has a setting to disable track pad wake. It is a VERY nice ROM. Very few problems. You do have to install the Amaze Camera (or any one of your choice) if you want the FFC to not be upside down.

Agreed. But if your looking for no track pad wake I reccomend this I have been using this as my daily driver .

As I learned in another thead, i believe you can wake it using the home button, almost as good as using trackpad. I think this works for IceColdSandwich and zips creamed glacier.

We can use Button remapper.But there is NO trackpad key to remap in Zip's rom

In case you're looking for a newer ROM, Toasted Marshmallow runs JB and has no track pad wake.

[Q] Lock hardware keys except power boutton

hi every one
could some one tell us how to lock all hardware keys except power boutton
we have this problem when the device is in pocket sometimes the device wakes up by accidentlly touching any boutton (yes all of them wakes the device)
and when it wakes up, sometimes the screen is unlocked (accidentlly sliding the ring )
i'm using holo locker and this thing happends commonly
please help...
