Hey guys
I recently updated my HD2 to android 4 and now I can't watch any videos online. I can watch Youtube videos and Dailymotion videos but most of the other sites don't work. I used my HD2 a lot to watch TV shows on streaming sites and it always worked. I currently use Paranoid Android.
Do you guys know a ROM that supports online videos?

There is not any specific rom which will be able to support videos online. The most handy is Gingerbread, after that any ICS or JB. The problem is Flash Player. Flash Player only is supported by Gingerbread and for Android 4.xx currently Flash Player is not available, but you can find some compatible version here on XDA.
Even if you find Flash Player for Android 4 you will have problem to watch video in streaming without any third application, like Youtube app for ICS. Gingerbread actually can play most of the vids on internet, with ICS or JB you have to have a third app which will allow you to do so. Probably some app where you can copy and paste a link for streaming vids to watch.
Do you have any app that can do that? I tried Vplayer and it didn't work and there is currently no other App I know. I usually watch videos on sites like putlocker, they have movies and other shows.

Wrong, ICS still supports Flash, only on 4.1 it's buggy. I watched Flash videos normally on Tytung's NexusHD2 ICS.

Try Airvidplay app. How it works: you go to website with movies, click play for sec, then go to share website and in sharing list select Airvidplay. In Airvid you'll have your movie ready to watch or download.
https://www.xda-developers.com/android/show-embedded-video-whos-boss-with-airvidplay/
P.s. It supports around 10 most popular video streaming sites.
HTC Sence HD2

Quick question... Does the X1 come with a YouTube app out of the box? I have seen people posting work around app's but to think that this MEGA PDA Phone dones NOT have a built in youtube app is crazy!
the xperia comes with youtube support u just go to the website and u can watch all videos in their mobile page, but if u want to see the real youtube homepage you have to fix the workaround
ahh, Ok, so there is no youtube app like the one with the touch pro..? Or better yet, if there is not, can you download the youtube app from the diamond/touch pro. I thought I did see that app on other phones extracted and put into CAB form.

Xperia doesn't have Flash Lite installed. But you can get Flash Lite from xda-developers, works well for me. Only on Opera though.
Another solution is to get Coreplayer, a must have if you want to watch xvid or divx videos + the music player is MUCH better than the one on Xperia. Coreplayer comes with a Youtube icon, you just click on it and you can watch videos from Youtube, works great.
Which version of coreplayer has a youtube icon? Thanks for the info.

I read in the porting tfd3d to X1 thread that Smaberg is doing a wvga youtube app for the xperia =) hope he is done soon =)
I read the comments from Youtube, some says that the newly released Flahs lite 3.0 can be installed on Xperia 1...
Means we can watch online Flv videos...is that true...?
I can do it on my Diamond. Since both are Windows Mobile 6.1 I see no reason why it cannot be installed. Try it.

Yeah, you can watch about 50% of the youtube vid's, the others wont work since they use Flash9 instead of the old, and only compatible to flash lite 3.1, Flash7.

You shouldn't hope for it. In my experience, only Youtube works 'well' , and thats pretty ****ty in the fist place.

My mates Galaxy S plays the live video stream off this website www.koollondon.com
The Nexus S plays the audio but with a green box where the video should be.
I have downloaded the latest version of flash (10.1)
Anyone got any ideas, could this be a Gingerbread problem?
my nexus plays it fine both on Dolphin HD and the stock browser...
Thank you for testing that for me. How odd, all I get is a green box. The audio plays fine tho.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Just to add i'm using T-mobile in the UK. I haven't tried it over Wifi.
Did you test with Wifi?

What version of flash are you running? I thought Gingerbread came with flash but when i visited a flash website it failed to open and pointed me to download Flash 10.1
I'm on 2.3 and it's giving me the greenscreen too. It also does this when I watch hulu and a commercial plays. The commercial will be green, but the video will display fine.

I just checked my phone, which is 2.3.1. And I don't have flash installed. I could have sworn I did before the 2.3.1 update. So maybe it removes it?
Possibly because people complained about browser lag caused by flash not being optimized or something like that?
So if you install Flash (it points you to 10.1) and try opening www.koollondon.com does the live studio video play or do you just get the audio?

I just installed flash 10.1 from the market, and went to that page. it plays the audio, but the video is just a green square. I dunno how it was prior to 2.3.1, since I never visited that site before.

I have the hex edited version of Flash from the Nexus 1 threads that allows it to work with hulu and other sites that have mobile devices blocked from viewing videos. Also I live in the states if that makes any difference.
